Niantic To Pay Out $4 Million In Pokemon GO Lawsuit, New Report System On The WayAidan O'BrienFri, 09/06/2019 - 07:51

Niantic, the company behind the behemoth that is Pokemon GO, will be paying out $4 million to a group of plaintiffs who took a class-action lawsuit against them. The plaintiffs had an issue with how the implementation of the game impacted their lives, as people would repeatedly trespass on their property to play the game and catch Pokemon.

One plaintiff had hundreds of people show up to his house, at all times of the day. The payout does not mean that Niantic is accepting either the blame or liability for the issue; it just means they are paying for it to go away. The 12 people behind the lawsuit will only receive payouts of 1000 dollars each after a judge refused their requested 2500 dollars. All the rest of the money is to cover legal fees from the three years-long lawsuits. So, it would appear the real beneficiaries here are the lawyers.

Niantic has agreed to set up a new website and online reporting system for people to report how groups of players and impacting their lives and property. The system is supposed to resolve 95% of complaints within 15 days as part of the settlement.

It should go without saying, but don't venture onto private property to catch a Pokemon, and don't ring people's doorbells asking if you can play in their backyard. While you might be on a quest to become the world's greatest Pokemon Trainer, if a Shiny that you want ends up spawning in someone else's backyard, you might have to learn to let it go.

From the waterfall at the start, before you walk up and around the main ridge, take the short path beside it. The collectible is right at the end of the little path.

Wellness Advisory Poster

Wellness Advisory Poster

Head into the level until you come to a destroyed area with a waterfall dropping down into it. Go up and into the darkroom (this is a linear level, so you can't miss it) where you will find a poster on the wall. It should be easy enough to see, as it will shine intermittently.

Cog Tags: Fallen Azura Gear

Go further into the level until you reach a set of double doors that Jack has to open for you. When they open, go straight ahead into the infirmary. There will be a body on the ground to your right as you enter, with the Cog Tags.

From there, head up the stairs, and take a left into a darkened doorway. Move into the back of the room, and you will find a small office. This is a bit awkward, as the room is pitch black. Keep searching until you find the office, and you will find the Wristwatch on the desk.

Play Madden 20 For Free This WeekendNeil GrayFri, 09/06/2019 - 09:47

To celebrate the 100th season of the NFL, EA Sports is offering you the chance to play Madden 20 for free, until the 8th of September and it's available across the board. Whether you own a PC, and Xbox One, or a PS 4, you can go to the relevant online store and download the game right now.

This is great news for longtime NFL fans who haven't yet to be able to get a copy of the game because releasing anything at the start of the month usually means all your disposable income has gone on bills. However, if you only have a passing interest in the sport, or fancy trying something new, then you should now get your gridiron on for a limited time.

Madden 20 3-on-3

Superstar KO Mode

It's a clever trial as well as it's just in time for the new Superstar KO mode that EA has been pushing hard for the past couple of days. This new addition to the game sees a stripped-down version of American Football that some have said is similar to NFL Blitz as it features the best of the best in 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 battles online. All games are less than nine minutes and are an incredibly fun experience whether you're playing by yourself or have managed to rope two of your friends in to help you bring the pain.

Just don't be too disappointed when you find your team is being managed by the likes of DJ Khaled and Lil Yachty.

NBA 2K20: NBA Draft, First Ten Picks And Their Ratings

NBA 2K20: NBA Draft, First Ten Picks And Their Ratings

The NBA Draft is something that fans anticipate with bated breath every season. It's that time of year where you hope and pray that your team has done enough wheeling and dealing that you'll finally land a quality first-round pick instead of some shmuck from the back end of Norway that you'll only find out about on the internet some 13 days later.

When it's all over, and you've found yourself with one of the best prospects ever to grace the court, or not depending on how unlucky you are, you can patiently wait for 2K Games to unleash another installment in their yearly franchise of NBA games just to see how they fare in the overall ratings. Or, if you're not the waiting kind, then you can look through this guide and find out just what those ratings are for the first 10 Draft picks from 2019.

NBA 2K20: NBA Draft, First Ten Picks And Their Ratings

Cam Reddish

Cam Reddish

OVR: 75

Drafted in from Duke by the Atlanta Hawks, Small Forward Cam Reddish is seen as a decent enough prospect by 2K, starting life in their NBA franchise with a solid 75 overall.

Rui Hachimura

Rui Hachimura

OVR: 74

The ninth overall draft by the Washington Wizards might not have as high a rating as Cam Reddish, which seems to mean that 2K has decided that Washington might have made a mistake here, but he already has one thing that Cam doesn't, and that's that he's featured in the Japanese Promo for NBA 2K20.

Jaxson Hayes

Jaxson Hayes

OVR: 74

Another draft pick that 2K seem to think isn't as good as Cam The Man (trademark pending), the New Orleans Pelicans Center, Jaxson Hayes, will be looking to make them eat their words this season. If he even comes close to his stats as a freshman, which helped him win the Big 12 Freshman Of The Year in 2019, then it won't be long before they have to have a rethink and bump him up a little more.

Coby White

Coby White

OVR: 76

The Chicago Bulls newest Point Guard, Coby White, led North Carolina to the Sweet 16 round of the tournament in 2019 and his new squad will be hoping that he can bring some of the skill he had on show there to this seasons NBA.

Jarrett Culver

Jarrett Culver

OVR: 77

The Shooting Guard from Texas Tech will be starting the year off with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Timberwolves fans will be hoping that he's gotten over the case of the jitters that he had that saw him struggle in both last years Final Four and the Championship Game.

Darius Garland

Darius Garland

OVR: 77

There are already rumblings that Darius Garland could go on to be the greatest player that the Cleveland Cavaliers have ever had on their books. I'm not sure how LeBron James feels about this, but if Garland does hit the ground running, then that's not going to be as crazy a call as it first seems.

De'Andre Hunter

De'Andre Hunter

OVR: 77

The Atlanta Hawks Small Forward, De'Andre Hunter, is another of our clutch of 77's. He was on the Virginia Cavaliers team that won the 2019 NCAA Championship and dropped in a three-pointer to tie the game with only 12.9 seconds left on the clock.

RJ Barrett

RJ Barrett

OVR: 78

RJ Barrett wasn't fazed in the slightest by his rating in NBA 2K20. He was just happy being in the game, claiming that that was his first thought when he was drafted. Not that he'd be lining up for the New York Knicks but that he was in 2K's game. I like this fellow a lot.

Ja Morant

Ja Morant

OVR: 79

The second overall pick in the 2019 Draft, The Memphis Grizzlies will be hoping that 2K's rating is on the money. Ja Morant won the OVC Player of the Year, The Bob Cousey and Lute Olsen Awards, as well as being the NCAA Season Assist Leader for the 18/19 season. The future looks bright for this former Murray State player.

Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson

OVR: 81

The New Orleans Pelicans, Zion Williamson, is a beast of a man who was voted onto the NCAA Team of the Decade only a few days ago. This is reflected in his overall score, coming in as he does a clear two-points above Ja Morant and being the only rookie on this list to break the 80 marks. Watch out for this guy; he's going to be a monster.

Gears 5: How to unlock the Terminator and Sarah Connor

Gears 5 has officially launched for those who bought the ultimate edition or have the ultimate game pass. On top of a great campaign and stunning graphics, there are several special guest appearances, including various Halo characters and former WWE superstar Batista. Perhaps one of the most popular character appearances is the Terminator and Sarah Connor. This crossover has been done as a form of promotion for the upcoming movie Terminator: Dark Fate.

How To Unlock the Terminator and Sarah Connor in Gears 5

In short, the game needs to be pre-ordered. Be it physically or digitally – a code will be emailed to you containing a DLC code for the characters. However, if you are getting the game through Game Pass, 'there's a simple method for getting the Terminator and Connor.

All you need to do is download the game, as people using game passes get access to the content directly. However, be aware of the time limit, these characters are time-sensitive, so you must install the game by September 16th to get the DLC. If you don't plan on playing Gears 5 yet, that's not a problem. Though, it would be best if you got it downloaded as soon as possible, that way you won't miss out on the DLC

Playing as Sarah Connor and the Terminator

All available DLC characters can be used in the majority of game modes such as Virus, Horde, and Hive. In most cases, the player needs to select whom they want to use after the matchmaking process has ended.

Who Is The Gears of War 5 Voice Cast?

Without the talents of voice actors, games would be boring, silent movies. You'd be forced to read everything a character said, and nobody wants that. Gears of War 5 has a host of talent behind those broad faces, so in this article, we will run through the main characters, and the talented people who voice them.

Who Is The Gears of War 5 Voice Cast?

Kait Diaz - Laura Bailey

Laura Bailey as Kait Diaz

Laura Bailey is voiced acting royalty at this point. She has been in everything from TV shows, animes, video games, and movies. You might know her from her work on Dragon Ball Z, Full Metal Alchemist, Nier, Final Fantasy, Uncharted 4 and more.

J.D Fenix - Liam McIntyre

JD Fenix

Liam McIntyre is a well known Australian actor. He has starred in Spartacus, The Flash, Security and of course Gears of War 4.

Del Walker - Eugene Byrd

Eugene Byrd as Del Walker

Eugene Byrd is back to once again bring the character of Del Walker to life. He has been on TV shows like Bones, Arrow, and True Blood, and has done voice work for the Battlefield series, and Driver.

Marcus Fenix - John DiMaggio

John DiMaggio as Marcus Fenix

If you don't know who John DiMaggio is by now, then lists like these can't help you. He has done voice work for a little known show called Futurama, Adventure Time, American Dad, Kung Fu Panda, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, assorted DC animated movies, and this is his fifth time playing Marcus Fenix.

Fahz Chutani - Rahul Kohli

Rahul Kohli as Fahz Chutani

Rahul makes his debut in Gears of War 5, but you might recognize him from iZombie, where he plays Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti. This is just his second outing in a video game, with his first being Rage 2 which released earlier this year.

Gears of War 5 - How To Get More Supply Drops

Gears of War 5 - How To Get More Supply Drops

Gears of War 5 has a pretty extensive multiplayer portion, and like all modern games, it is fueled by cosmetics. If you want to look good, you will need to get Supply Drops, and in this guide, we will show you how to get them as fast as possible.

Gears of War 5 - How To Get More Supply Drops

You get Supply Drops for playing in Versus, Horde, and Escape multiplayer modes. As you play, you make progress towards your next Supply Drop. The better you play, the faster you get there, so the first rule is to be good at the game. If you are not that good at the game but want to speed up your rate of Supply Drops, there are some things to keep in mind.

You can purchase XP Boosts using Iron, the currency that powers microtransactions in Gears of War 5. These boosts will also give you Double Supply Drop Progression, which is a handy bonus.

Because it wouldn't be a Triple-A game release without some connect to a sugary product, you can also get free Supply Drop codes from Chips Ahoy Cookies, and Rockstar Energy Drinks. Just make sure you are picking up the promotional packs if you go that route.

Mostly, it boils to practice. Learn to maximize your progression from each mode, and you will be swimming in cosmetics in no time at all. That's it, if you work to improve at the game, you will be getting those nice cosmetics the best way possible, at the expense of someone else who was trying to kill you in-game.

Warframe - How To Get Diluted Thermia

Warframe - How To Get Diluted Thermia

In Warframe, you can get Diluted Thermia by taking part in the Operation: Buried Debts event. You will need to head out onto the Orb Vallis, and squad up to deal with some Thermia Fractures

While it is certainly possible to do this alone, it might get a bit hectic if you are a newer player, so maybe go with some friends or Clanmates.

Warframe - How To Get Diluted Thermia

Follow the below steps to get some Diluted Thermia:

  • Load into Orb Vallis on Venus
  • Head for the Temple of Profit, and find the Exploiter Orb that will be walking around the area.
  • Destroy one the Coolant Raknoids following it, then pick up the Coolant Canister they drop.
  • If there are a few of you in the squad, everyone should grab one.
  • Hit the skies in your Archwing and search for the larges jets of flame coming out of the ground.
  • Fly to one, and drop down to it.
  • Interact with it to place your Coolant Canister.
  • Defend the Canister until the timer hits 100%.
  • Do this four times in total to fill the Canister.
  • Filling a Canister will get you 1 Diluted Thermia

What Is Diluted Thermia Used For

You need Diluted Thermia to trigger the Expoliter Orb boss fight at Deck 12. You will find a console in the back of the destroyed area that looks similar to Fortuna, on a raised platform that would house the Vent Kids entrance in Fortuna.

Only one player needs to use their Diluted Thermia to start the fight, so if you are grinding this with friends or Clanmates, you can take it in turns to use the resource.

And that's it, everything you need to know about Diluted Thermia in Warframe. Best of luck, Tenno!

Monster Hunted World: Iceborne Submerged Mystery Achievement Guide | Sealord's Crestfish Location

Just like in Monster Hunter World, Iceborne has a bunch of mystery pets and fish for players to find across the map to add to their collections.

These creatures are usually rare spawns, and the one we are going to search for today is no exception. We are going to show you exactly how to get the Achievement "Submerged Mystery" which is a secret achievement that can be completed by completing the mission "Capture a mysterious creature lurking beneath the water's surface."

To do this, you need to find the Sealord's Crestfish, a large fish that can be located only at night in the Hoarfrost Reach. You can find it in the pool of area 8 at times if you are lucky and can't miss it. It is a large fish, larger than anything else you can see in the pool, with a strange shark-like fin sticking up out of the water.

Finding it when it spawns is easy, but catching it is hard. You will need to go through a series of mini-games and test your nerve not to scare it off. If you do, you will need to repeat the whole process and pray you to find it another time.

Considering it can take hours at a time to come across this fish, don't do anything stupid and be sure you are ready before you try to capture it. You only have one shot.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Golden Gleam Achievement Guide | Goldspring Macaque Location

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is filled with all sorts of things to do, and a whole lot of creatures to discover. Many of the Achievements, such as the Golden Gleam Achievement, involve finding a very rare creature.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne -  Golden Gleam Achievement Guide

The creature you need for the Golden Gleam Achievement can be found during the day, on Hoarfrost Reach. It is an extremely rare spawn, so you will need to be vigilant and patient to find it. It will spawn with other similar creatures around a hot spring in the area. You will be looking for the Goldspring Macaque.

If you have trouble finding the hot spring, it is in Area 2, just above Area 17. The hot spring itself is direct across from the number 2 on the in-game map. It is a good idea to leave your little Palico at the camp for this one, as the creature is skittish, and might get scared away by your small furry friend.

Frankly, the Golden Gleam looks like a cross between a monkey and a raccoon, and the spring is not so large that spotting him should be difficult when he spawns. Just keep a good distance and use your binoculars to check if he is there.

Because the little guy is so skittish, it is a good idea to use Ghille Mantle, and wait for him to turn away to approach. When he does, just run up and grab him.

I really cannot express enough how patient you need to be to get some of these Achievements, so don't despair if it feels like it takes forever for this guy to show up, because it might take that long. Best of luck!

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - How to Beat the Beotodus

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - How to Beat the Beotodus

Beotodus is the first new monster that stands in your way in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, and your first hint at just how tough a journey it’s going to be. You should be decked out in the best armor and weapons the base game has to offer you at this point, but don’t get cocky. This is a whole new neighborhood, and the monsters here are much tougher.

Best Items to Fight Beotodus in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

As with any Monster Hunter fight, preparation is vital when fighting Beotodus. You should bring all the healing items you can to the fight, but there’s a new item that should be standard in your pack in the Hoarfrost Reach: Hot Drinks. This will keep you from suffering stamina loss from the region’s extreme cold.

Beotodus can inflict Iceblight, which makes you use more stamina for every action, so you’ll want to bring some Nullberries to counteract its effect. Any item that boosts your stamina will also be helpful here just in case you still find yourself running low. The best item you can bring to the fight is the Iceproof Mantle, which will let you nullify Iceblight and increase your Ice resistance on a cooldown. You’ll also want to pack some Screamer Pods, which will come in handy during the fight.

Best Weapons and Armor to Fight Beotodus in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

There’s no one best armor set for fighting Beotodus, but try to prioritize Ice resistance. Either use armor that’s strong against Ice, such as the Legiana set, or something that comes with the Ice Resistance skill. If that’s entirely out of the question for you, at least try to get the highest defense you can with skills that reduce stamina usage.

As for weapons, try to take advantage of Beotodus’ elemental weakness. As you might suspect, this monster is especially weak to fire, but if you don’t have access to any good fire weapons, thunder is a good backup. Beotodus is slightly susceptible to all ailments, with blast being a little more effective.

How to Beat Beotodus in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Beotodus is a Piscine Wyvern, in the tradition of Jyuratodus and Lavasioth, and it uses similar attacks. Its most dangerous attribute is its ability to move under the snow, where it can then pop out for a quick sneak attack. You can use those Screamer Pods you brought to knock it out of the snow if you time it right, but it can be quite challenging to do. If you can’t get the hang of it, make sure to dodge well out of the way of where it emerges, because this attack can cover a lot of ground.

When it’s on solid ground, aim for the sides of Beotodus. You’ll need to knock off the ice armor that it covers itself in no matter where you attack, but that will allow you to break off its fins, preventing it from diving under the snow, and avoid its most powerful attacks, which come from the front. Keep in mind, though, that it’s still dangerous no matter where you stand. In particular, it can swat you with its tail while throwing snow, which covers a lot of ground and can be hard to avoid.

You can also try out your new Clutch Claw while fighting Beotodus. Attach to the Beotodus using the Clutch Claw, then drive it into a wall, and you should be able to knock it out pretty easily. That will give you an excellent opportunity to do some significant damage to this otherwise extremely evasive beast.

Between making itself invulnerable and forcing you to dodge its attacks, the Beotodus in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne can drag a fight out. Expect this battle to go down to the wire, and if you don’t get it the first time, go back to square one and make sure you’re properly equipped.

Gears 5 Ranking System Explained

Gears 5 Ranking System Explained

Gears 5 has arrived, and those who are actively engaged in the fight against the Swarm are eagerly awaiting their turn to jump into the online play. The Coalition is taking things seriously this time around with their Ranked game, and there are a new array of different rankings with their system. Here's how Gears 5's ranking system works for their multiplayer platform.

Gears 5 Ranking System Explained

What Games Can You Rank In?

There are currently four different multiplayer modes you can receive a ranking in, and you see these by clicking on the "Versus," tab on the main menu, and then going to the "Ranked," icon. From there, you're going to see all four displayed:

  • King of the Hill
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Escalation
  • Guardian

These modes are going to have various maps, likely shown in the Gears 5 campaign mode.

How do you Rank?

To rank in any of the previously mentioned modes, you need to have played at least five different matches of the game. These matches cannot have crashed, ended mid-way through, or have any disruption. They must happen from start to finish. When you finish the fifth match, you're going to get ranked based on your performance in that match, and from there you're going to get placed with similarly skilled players. From there, you have the opportunity to climb up your current rank, or you're going to drop down if you do poorly.

Gears 5 Ranks

There are several different tiers of ranks in Gears 5. Here they are, broken down.

  • Masters
  • Platinum
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Bronze

You're going to get thrown into one of these ranks after you complete the first five matches of your ideal Gears 5 game mode. After that, you're going to run through the different levels of that tier, to hopefully raise about your current status to make your way up the ranks. The higher you go, the harder and better-trained players you're going to find waiting for you in each match.

Finally, we can fight Team Rocket, or Team Rocket Go, on our phones as life intended. But really, Team Rocket Go isn’t the best part of the Pokémon Go update. It’s their purple aura-ed friends that we care about.

In brief, Shadow Pokémon are pumped up little ‘mons that probably suffered at the hands of Team Rocket. And we’re here to love and liberate them from those meanies. After battling Team Rocket Go agents, players can capture the Shadow Pokémon the agent used. Over time, meaning with candy and stardust, players can purify their Shadow Pokemon.

Initially, there were not many Shadow Pokémon in the game. Niantic is increasing the amount over time, slowly adding more and more Rocket themed Pokémon to the roster. Serebii has a list of Shadow Pokémon available.

Banbaro is one of the earliest and easiest monsters you’ll take on in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, but it can still put the hurt on any hunter who comes after it unprepared. It can attack for massive damage, inflict Iceblight, and move with startling speed for its size, so don’t let your guard down even when you think you have it on the ropes.

Best Items to Fight Banbaro in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

By the time you face off against the Banbaro, you should have spent enough time in the Hoarfrost Reach to know the drill when it comes to provisions. In addition to healing items, make sure you pack enough Hot Drinks and stamina restoring items to counteract the effects of the harsh climate. Since Banbaro can inflict Iceblight, you’ll also need a handful of Nullberries and, ideally, your Iceproof Mantle to nullify its effect.

One special consideration for fighting Banbaro is Crystalburst. You can gather this slinger ammo from beetles throughout the Hoarfrost Reach. Make sure you grab as many as you can before the fight starts, as it’ll prove very helpful in stopping some of Banbaro’s most powerful attacks.

Best Weapons and Armor to Fight Banbaro in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Banbaro is weak to fire, as you might expect, but it takes even more damage from dragon weapons. When it comes to ailments, Banbaro is quite weak to stun, but you’ll have to decide if chasing that weakness is worth the risk. The best way to inflict stun is by using a blunt weapon like a hammer on Banbaro’s head, but doing so will put you in danger of taking its strongest attacks. If you don’t want to go that route, consider using a slashing weapon so that you can sever Banbaro’s tail during the fight.

As for armor, there’s nothing unique about this fight for Iceborne. Load up on ice resistance and wear the strongest armor you can. You’ll need to keep your stamina up to dodge Banbaro’s attacks, so consider armor that boosts it, or go with gear that increases your stun damage if that’s the strategy you’re using.

How to Beat Banbaro in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Banbaro is an intimidating foe no matter how you look at it. It’s a massive beast that likes to charge its opponents head-on, and it can even toss massive snowballs when that’s not enough. The key to this fight will be dodging Banbaro’s most devastating attacks or disrupting them when you can.

The safest way to take on Banbaro is to focus on damaging its legs, which will make it harder for the monster to charge you while maximizing your own damage. Use the Clutch Claw to weaken the legs whenever you need to, then attack them with all you’ve got. Be wary of Banbaro’s side tackle, which it can perform at any time, and is the only major attack it can pull off when you’re at its side.

This beast won’t just stand still and let you attack it, of course. Banbaro will continuously attempt to charge you during the fight, and you’ll either need to dodge or interrupt the attack to survive. Dodging is relatively simple, be aware that Banbaro usually charges back and forth, so you’ll need to avoid multiple attacks in a row. Banbaro will usually roll up a snowball when it charges, which will inflict additional damage if it hits you. It becomes even harder when Barbaro picks up a tree, which greatly increases the attack’s range. A trickier but potentially more rewarding method is to use Crystalburst. If you hit Banbaro with one while it’s charging, you can stop it in its tracks, negating the need to dodge and potentially giving you a window to strike if you’re fast enough.

Occasionally, Banbaro will lift its head into the air then smash its antlers into the ground, either with or without a snowball. If you get caught in this attack, it’s likely lights out for you, but if you can dodge it in time, you’ll have a golden opportunity to attack its head in the few seconds after the attack lands. If you’re using the hammer, you can get massive stun damage in and possibly even break its antlers.

There are much tougher challenges ahead in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, but Banbaro is no pushover. Its combination of speed and power can be devastating, but it also provides a great opportunity to try out new weapons, since several strategies work against it. Just make sure to keep your stamina topped off, and you’ll be moving on to more formidable prey in no time.

MHW Iceborne: All camp locations in the Hoarfrost Reach

Camps are the safe havens of Monster Hunter World; small sanctuaries where hunters can recover energy, have a quick meal to boost their health and stamina, change their set up, or restock supplies. Iceborne’s new Hoarfrost Reach has come with all the hazards of aggressive monsters plus biting cold and, well, ice. The camps here are as important as the rest of the World maps.

While some camps unlock on their own, others require players to sniff them out during quests, expeditions, or while on a hunt. Finding the campsites can be a challenge, especially when the map loops back on itself or has upper levels for players to traverse.

The locations of the campsites was rumored as far back as June 2019 on Reddit. However, the detailed Iceborne campsite locations was first reported by PowerPyx. The Hoarfrost Reach in Iceborne has five total campsites. Three of which are unlocked through story progression.

Camps unlocked through story progression:

  • Southern Camp

  • Western Camp

  • Shipwreck Camp

The Southern Camp is in Area 1, part of the upper levelof the region. It’s the default starting camp of the Hoarfrost Reach.

The Western Camp is in Area 5, also in the upper level. It will unlock after players go on an expedition for the first time.

The Shipwreck Camp is in Area 12, and unlike the first two, on the bottom level. It will unlock once you reach two stars in Master Rank assignments.

Camps unlocked through quests:

  • Central Camp

  • Northeast Camp

Both camps are on the upper level. The Central Camp can be found in Area 7 as part of the “Setting Up Camp: Hoarfrost Reach I” delivery quest. The Northeast Camp is in area 15 and unlocked through the “Setting up Camp: Hoarfrost Reach II” delivery quest.

Here's a map of both levels from GameWith

Side by side maps of the two layers found in the Hoarfrost Reach

These are all the camps in Iceborne’s Hoarfrost Reach location. Good luck on your hunts and slaying monsters.

How Many Players can Play Gears 5 Campaign?

Gears 5 comes with a host of new features to the franchise. Not only is there a brand new multiplayer mode called Escape, but there are plenty of new RPG elements coming to the game's primary campaign. Many are wondering if you can play in split screen mode, and if so, how many players can you take with you into the Gears 5 campaign?

How Many Players Can Play Gears 5 Campaign?

First of all, yes, you can play Gears 5 locally with two other friends right next to you on the couch. As long as you have three other controllers that can sync to your Xbox One or PC, you're good to go. Beyond that, how many can join you to run through the game's campaign?

You can have up to three players in the campaign. So, on your couch, you can include yourself and two friends in Gears 5. This limitation includes online play. You can not add a fourth player, even if you are playing while online. While unfortunate you can't use all four controllers if you have them, the ability to play a single-player mode with two other friends is exceptionally significant. It boils down to the franchise's roots of wanting players to work together to take down a formidable threat.

Initially, Gears of War only let you bring one friend with you for the ride. This mechanic changed as the franchise went on, bringing more cast members to the fold and upping the stakes with each game. So for those interested in playing their game with a friend miles away, or right in your home, you can do so with Gears 5. You can even play them in the multiplayer modes Horde and Escape, both accepting three local online players. Horde, though, can include a total of five members.

MHW Iceborne: Best armor set

MHW Iceborne: Best armor set

Armor plays a big role in Monster Hunter World. Between raw defense and various elemental defense, players will need to plan their loadout in advance prior to a hunt. Iceborne adds new monsters and with it, new armor and new armor stats.

There are a lot of factors that go into deciding what armor set is definitively the best. Arguably it’s impossible to make that decision since all of them have their strengths. What one set lacks in raw defense it might make up for in elemental defense. Digital Trends has a list of best armor in Iceborne.

Best Total Defense: Velkhana +

After the first Elder Dragon set in World, it’s probably not surprising that Iceborne’s flagship Elder Dragon would have one of the best sets in the game. It will take some time to farm up the materials for this set, which is also not surprising. Grinding is a core feature in Monster Hunter. This full set offers a huge 771 total defense and 20 ice defense. It comes at a cost with a -15 in terms of fire defense.

Best Elemental Defense

In terms of elemental damage. This will vary depending on the armor set. Fulgur Anjanath offers some nice thunder resistance but will be very weak to ice as a result. Meanwhile Viper Kadachi has some nice water resistance but with -15 thunder and then -10 on ice, it has its own weaknesses.

One of the changes with Iceborne was with elemental damage. That is, it was buffed. Players could get away with not using elemental damage before, relying on raw damage output. While that will still be a factor, elemental damage now throws its own weight into the battle. As a result, catering your build to a monster’s element is advised.

Elemental damage changes are the reason it’s hard to give a definitive answer for the best armor set in Monster Hunter World Iceborne. Looking at raw defense alone, the Velkhana set has the highest numbers, but that doesn’t make it the best armor.
