There are a lot of ways to make money in Red Dead Online which is a nice change from the fact that when it was in Beta, there was only a few, but the best way to rake in some of those sweet, sweet greenbacks is still by going hunting. It's been the go-to moneymaker since day one, and even if you're riding from one point on the map to another one on the other side, killing everything you come across along the way, you're still going to make some serious bank.

But if you want to fill your pockets and weigh down your faithful nag with more skin than an episode of Game of Thrones, then you're going to need to put some time and effort into it. In this guide, we look at the essential things you must do so that each time you venture out into the wilderness, you're going to come back laden with hides.

You may think that this would be a no-brainer, after all, Eagle Eye is one of the core mechanics when it comes to hunting, but you'd be surprised at how many people only ever use it when it's dark. It's understandable to a point when you're out on the open stretches of land that make up Rockstar's huge map then you can see for miles in either direction during daylight, but if you venture into the forests, you really can't see the wood for the trees. Clicking Eagle Eye into action in these situations can be the difference between you bagging that rare animal or missing it altogether.

It's essential to become deadly with this piece of equipment because killing an animal with is liable to give you a much better quality skin than if you pump about 12 rounds into it and better quality means more money.

There are two kinds of bait in Red Dead Online that can be used to attract animals to their doom, one is for predators, and the other is for herbivores, and if you just put it down anywhere, you want then your kill will magically appear before you, pooping out rainbows. That's a load of hogwash, but it does seem to be how people perceive these items to work. What you need to do is to figure out where the animals are or are going to be before you put the bait down and with a little time and practice this is something that will become second nature to you and will stop you having a fit every time you waste bait, and nothing shows up.

Like the bait before it, you need to be careful when using cover scent lotion. Not that you're liable to burst into flames or anything if you put it on too early, but the fact that doing so is just a waste. You need to keep it for those moments when you are hunting animals that could kill you only by looking at you or are likely to freak out at just a single whiff of a human being and bolt, never to be seen again. So, yeah, there's no need to be splashing that stuff on like it's aftershave.

Unless you're really into crafting and cooking yourself up some exotic birds with seasoning, then there is no reason for you to visit a butcher to sell your wares and walk away with anything other than an empty satchel. All you need to survive in the Wild West is enough cooked venison to help replenish your cores, say about ten chunks should do it, which you should only restock on when you're nearly out. Everything else you have from your kills should be flogged to a butcher whenever you reach civilization.

Hunting can be a frustrating experience in Red Dead Online, one that can occasionally see you go for quite a while without having anything to kill and skin, but you have to be patient. There's no point going off half-cocked and throwing a hissy fit just because you haven't managed to do anything in the last 20 minutes; it's like waiting for a bus. Nothing happens then three come along at once. If you put the time and effort in then Red Dead Online becomes the perfect hunting simulator and just like in real life, sometimes that means doing nothing but twiddling your thumbs for the best part of a day.

Watch Dogs Legion is implementing a brand new way to tell its stories, and this has to lead to thought in the minds of the fans that the game could be coming with no main story at all. That's wrong, as explained in a recent interview with Spiel Times by the game design director Kent Hudson.

Despite playing with hundreds of different characters in an almost free fashion, says Hudson, the game will retain the themes that have made the franchise so popular until today and will include five main storylines we'll get to follow across the golden path.

"I know 'play as anyone' is kind of a crazy technological innovation with the simulation we’ve done, but the story is still a huge part of the game," acknowledged Hudson. "It’s a huge part of the franchise, and this game is no different."

As said, he added that "we’ve got five different storylines in the game, so it’s five main – you could call them quest lines if you want - and each one of them is tied to one of our thematic pillars." This means that you'll recognize you're in a Watch Dogs game right away.

Spiel Times was shown a storyline "about the surveillance state," where London and the entire nation have become places where the governments start "spying on the citizens." Another is about private military contractors who have "supplanted the police in the city" and has taken over it.

Hudson explained that Watch Dogs Legion has three more to these and that some deeper stuff has been taken under wraps for the release of the game, which is planned for March 6, 2020. So, rest assure that story is going to have a significant role even if you're probably be changing your protagonist a lot of times through it.

Death Stranding is one of the most popular intellectual properties that have not yet born at all around, so it's quite normal that you start seeing stuff inspired to it, or even ripping it off, on tv shows and other video games.

This time around, anyway, we've got something completely new and unexpected to deal with, as Brazilian fans on Reddit have spotted a TV commercial ripping off for some reason one of the trailers from Death Stranding.

Below, you can see a comparison between the footage in the commercial and the trailer in question, courtesy of MP1st (via GamesRadar+). In the video, you can see that the commercial - involving a perfume from a company called O Boticário - has one of those giant creatures from the next game of Hideo Kojima.

While we've yet to learn the purpose of those creatures in the game from the creator of the Metal Gear franchise, at the 0:48 mark in the video you can see them do precisely the same things in the commercial, which is slightly weird.

Furthermore, taking into account that the commercial is for a perfume, it's rather weird that those who handled the clip for O Boticário paid a homage to a video game, so - whatever that means in such a commercial - this could easily be a case of rip off, even if very, very strange.

You can check the video below to understand what's happening clearly. At the time being Sony nor Kojima Productions have reacted to the commercial, but considering how much popular it's becoming on the Internet we believe there's a chance they'll do soon.

Remedy Entertainment is now once again the owner of the intellectual property of Alan Wake, so it's free to do whatever it wants to do on the franchise going forward. What if that 'whatever' plan includes a sequel to the much-appreciated PC and Xbox 360 action-adventure game?

Sam Lake, creative director at the Finnish software house, has expressed his will to work on Alan Wake 2 multiple times and has done that one more time in an interview with IGN. Lake precised that things have to be "aligned" before that can happen, though.

"I want to make it. It's a curious thing," Lake said. "At this point, so much time has passed. I feel that the bar is higher in some ways. It needs to be done right if it's ever done. Everything needs to click into place, which is hard to make it happen."

"So many things, for these big games to be greenlit, need to be aligned. But I'm hoping that someday...," he added, which gives you an idea of how the game doesn't exist yet and development on it is still ways off. However, it also remarks that next time he has to pitch something, that 'something' could be Alan Wake 2.

It's worth noting that Lake reminded how things have changed since the release of the original Alan Wake. He said that the bar has been raised and perhaps he is referring to stuff like Death Stranding being on its way, and maybe even the incoming Control from Remedy itself, since he has recently received the visit of Hideo Kojima upon his invite.

It's clear that Remedy wants to work on a new title in the series but has two things to happen before it can start making it. It has to be greenlit at an executive level, and that's something that could be done as soon as the TV show in the works proves popular, and it has to be able to achieve the right level of quality.

Hopefully, that can happen right after Control or even after a remaster or remake of the original Alan Wake.

Hideo Kojima took to Twitter as he usually does to inform us about what he's doing and, most importantly, what he's doing on Death Stranding. In case you missed it, the game is releasing on November 8, 2019, so it's very close to launching on PS4.

The latest update from the game designer and director is that he has worked over the last few hours to wrap the Japanese voiceover up, and one particular has slipped off from his tweet about the matter that perhaps Metal Gear fans will love.

Kojima said that the scene the team at Kojima Productions has voiced over today has been very "emotional" and has seen many at the studio shed a tear for some reason. Spoiler: they didn't because of the Brazilian commercial that has ripped their game off.

At this stage, if we recall correctly, we have not been looked at particularly tearful moments in trailers, although characters always have tears going down on their faces due to the chiral allergy, a phenomenon internal to the world of Death Stranding where characters can 'feel' their enemies are close.

"We did a voice-over recording session for the Japanese version of DS today," said Kojima in one of his latest tweets, as you can see below. "It was a super emotional scene with tears. Thanks for your great performance, Kenbo, and Kikuko-san."

Hopefully, that drama will be intact in the Western version of the title, which will most certainly come with English-only dub as we've been used by previous Kojima's games and subs in local languages. As said, Death Stranding is coming November 8, 2019: are you ready?

From time to time we report on leaks and rumors although we don't know how much you can believe them to be true. When this happens, we always recommend you to read them and take them with a pinch of salt, to be sure not to be left disappointed when learning none of the things said will genuinely happen.

We did the same thing with those Red Dead Redemption rumors yesterday, reporting them only after pondering and seeing that well-known websites have reported them as well. To be more precise, the rumors we're talking about are the alien-based Red Dead Redemption 2 single-player DLC and the remake of the original Red Dead Redemption.

Well, those have turned to be utterly fake, and the 'leaker' has even explained why he has posted such things on Reddit back in the days - something unusual, one might say. He claims that he has done so to conduct a "social experiment."

"This was an experiment I have always wanted to do regarding the spreading of rumors in video game culture," he throwaway11113454, said. "I’ve been thinking about this for a while and wondering how I was going to do it; then I saw red dead online was being ignored (most likely not, but the fans are in the dust about it, including me) so this was basically a good starting point for me."

The Reddit user listed some of the biggest websites which have reported on the fake, and a couple of YouTube videos he's spotted, and then said that he "realized I was getting too many peoples hopes up, so I decided to write this post."

He said that "through this experiment, I learned that some people will believe anything that someone says if it sounds believable," so there's some lesson to be learned.

Quite honestly, I'll keep reporting things I think are interesting for you readers and telling you my opinion about them, which is the best possible way to 'educate' readers to discern what's true, possibly true, or fake. That's not something you learn by merely avoiding such rumors, in my own opinion.

The just-released book "Iwata-san" features a series of memories of the late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata shared by his colleagues and friends. These include Shigeru Miyamoto, Earthbound creator Shigesato Itoi, along with a selection of Iwata Asks transcripts, among many others.

In the book, Miyamoto opens up about the death of his friend, perhaps for the first time. That's something sacred, given how privately Japanese handle matters regarding diseases and death.

"To me, he was a friend more than anything," Miyamoto wrote in a portion of the book translated by IGN. "It never felt like he was my boss or that I was working under him. He never got angry; we never fought about anything."

In another passage of the book, the creator of Mario adds that Nintendo has been "doing just fine" without Iwata. But Miyamoto said it's difficult not having his friend around, as he grew used to having crazy ideas during the weekend and told Iwata them for a laugh.

"He left many words and structures that live on in the work of our younger employees today," Miyamoto says. "The only problem is that, if there is some good-for-nothing idea I come up with over the weekend, I have no one to share it with the next Monday. That I can no longer hear him say ‘Oh, about that thing…’ is a bit of a problem for me. It makes me sad."

Additionally, Itoi recalls a moment at the funeral where he chatted with Miyamoto about how Iwata was dealing with his health issues. Itoi, the father of Zelda, said that the late president has always believed he would be better soon as he didn't want to die.

"'He totally believed that he would become better. He didn’t have the slightest intention to die.'," Itoi reminds Miyamoto telling him. "That answer made me realize just how close Miyamoto and Iwata were, and to what extent they understood each other."

The book is currently only available in Japan.

The mysterious masked characters from the Pokemon Masters trailer finally have a name. Team Break will be the main antagonists in the upcoming mobile game, and apparently, they are famous for stealing Pokemon. 

In Pokemon Masters, which is due to release this summer for Android and iOS, you will be collecting Pokemon Trainers instead of actual Pokemon. The game is set on the island of Pasio, which hosts the Pokemon Masters League. You will need to bring together the best trainers you can to make a three-person team to take part in the League. Each Trainer will also have their best Pokemon with them, so it makes sense that Team Break would be skulking around the island.

The League features Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, and other all-stars from the world of Pokemon, and it is up to you to put together the best team of three Trainers to take part in battles. Battles take place in real-time, and your move gauge will dictate when you can act. It will be up to you to decide which Sync Pair will attack, and which moves they will use. Trainers will also be able to use moves, such as healing friendly Pokemon. You can also choose to use special Sync Moves, although these will have a limited number of uses per battle. You will also be able to use Unity Attacks, powerful moves that involve everyone on your team.

While there is no set release date yet, we do know that the game launch in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese. The game will be free, but cannot be played offline. You will need iOS 11 or higher, and Android 7.0 or above to be able to play the game.

A new video from Capcom is giving hunters their first look at the Acidic Glavenus, one of the fiercest new beasts in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Glavenus, a monster with a sword-like tail that it can sharpen for extra damage, first appeared in Monster Hunter Generations. It will appear in Iceborne, but the new video focuses on a brand-new subspecies called the Acidic Glavenus.

As the video shows, the Acidic Glavenus is no less deadly when its tail is dull. At the SDCC panel revealed several new subspecies, Capcom revealed several new subspecies, they showed that the Acidic Glavenus builds up poison on its tail that debuffs a player if they get hit. When the tail gets sharpened, it no longer causes debuffs, but it attacks much faster with more damage. The video shows some lightning-fast strikes that are sure to give hunters a real test.

In the video, a hunter is seen fighting the Acidic Glavenus in the Rotten Vale. Capcom previously revealed that about half of the storyline of Iceborne takes place on the original game’s map and half in the new Hoarfrost Reach. It’s not clear correctly how monsters will be split up between the two zones or how often players will move back and forth.

The Acidic Glavenus isn’t the only new monster to walk the world in Iceborne. The game’s SDCC panel also showed off new designs for the Fulgur Anjanath and the Ebony Odogaron, but no video of those monsters has been released publicly yet. Capcom also teased even more new subspecies for the Pukei Pukei, Paolumu, and Tobi-Kadachi.

These new subspecies join a growing list of new monsters announced for the massive expansion. Capcom has also said that hunters will be taking on Banbaro, Beotodus, Nargacuga, Shrieking Legiana, Tigrex, and the elder dragon Vekhana.

Iceborne launches on Xbox One and PS4 on September 6, with a PC release scheduled for some time this winter.

Talking to the cashier is the quickest, most accessible format to acquire chips whenever you need them. The transactions only vary on how much GTA V currency you have on your character.

You'll want to make sure to visit the cashier at least once a day when you first login as they're going to provide you with 1,000 chips for visiting them.

The Lucky Wheel

Another daily activity players can do to acquire chips is visiting the Lucky Wheel. Although this is not a guaranteed method of grabbing chips. Wolfenstein: Youngblood releases this week, and for PC players, it's available one day early. The co-op shooter’s official release date is July 26. That’s the day it’s coming out for consoles, and it’s still the release date listed on Steam and Bethesda’s online store. However, the official Bethesda Twitter account recently announced that PC users could get their hands on the game before everyone else.

Bethesda initially tweeted about the game saying it was, “launching July 26 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch,” but not mentioning PC. Another user replied to ask about the PC release, and that’s when Bethesda responded with the news.

One day early might not be a huge deal, but it’s a nice, unexpected bonus for PC players who want to start killing Nazis. As we recently learned, Youngblood breaks new ground on the digital fascist destroying frontier. Germany’s video game regulatory body approved a version of the game to depict uncensored Nazi iconography for the first time.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood’s minimum and recommended specs for PC were recently released, if you want to see whether your rig can handle it. The requirements aren’t too steep, so any reasonably modern system shouldn’t have much of a problem. The flip side of that is Youngbloodwon’t support ray-tracing at launch. The developers are planning to patch it in in the future. But if players were hoping to put a particularly powerful PC through its paces with the new Wolfenstein game, they're going to wait a little longer.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood stars the twin daughters of B.J. Blazkowicz. It’s meant to be played entirely in co-op. But if you don’t have a buddy to play with, one sister can be controlled by AI. What Is the Razorback Cipher in Warframe?

The Razorback Cipher in Warframe is a unique piece of Gear you will get during your first Razorback Armada Invasion. The Lotus will send you the Blueprint, and you will need to build it to get access to the Razorback boss fight. The Razorback Armada is slowly making its way towards one of the game's Relays, and if you don't destroy enough of the Razorback units before it gets there, the Relay will be destroyed. 

How To Build The Razorback Cipher

Cryptographic ALU

You can build the Razorback Cipher in your Foundry, but you will need the following resources to do it:

  • 1250 Credits
  • 1500 Polymer Bundle
  • 3 Galium
  • 4 Cryptographic ALU

Cryptographic ALU is a rare resource that is only available in the game during this event. You can get it from Corpus units during Archwing missions on Jupiter and Neptune. To get the Cryptographic ALU, just play through the Archwing missions, and make sure you pick up all the resources that dead enemies drop. I like to use Itzl Archwing, as its third ability Cosmic Crush is basically an Archwing version of Vacuum. 

I would also suggest the Mobile Defense Mission at Salacia, on Neptune, as the mission you grind. I generally get about eight Cryptographic ALU from each run on this level. 

What To Do With the Razorback Cipher

Once you have built the Cipher in your Foundry, you must equip it to your Gear Wheel. Also, keep in mind that you need to kill a total of three Razorbacks to get the event rewards, so be sure you farm enough resources to build three Ciphers. Now you can load into the Razorback Assassination mission through the Star Map. Just make your way through the level, and you will eventually come to a door that needs a Cipher to open. You can only load into the mission if you have a Cipher, and the Cipher will automatically be taken from your inventory, no matter who opens the door.

Step inside the room and prepare to fight the Razorback. To give a quick rundown on what to do, you need to hack the barriers at the top of the room. The Razorback is mostly immune to your damage, so you need the Bursas up top to drop down into the room. When they do, damage them until you can hack them. Once they are hacked, they will turn on the Razorback, allowing you to damage it yourself eventually. We do have a full guide on how to fight the Razorback if you need it.

The Division 2 Update 5 Patch Notes

New Main Mission: Manning National Zoo
Emeline Shaw, the leader of the Outcasts, has fallen back from her defeat on Roosevelt Island and barricaded herself deep in the Manning National Zoo. To get to her, you will need to fight through the blockades and the Outcasts who protect her to put an end to her violence.

New Main Mission: Camp White Oak

The Black Tusks and their leader have set up a strategic position close to an estate nestled deep in the woodlands, and your assignment is to take them down and capture him in the new Camp White Oak mission.

New Feature: Expeditions

      • Whenever you throw a skill, 1.25s after landing, it creates an explosion applying the infused status effect to all enemies within 6m. Enemies affected by the infused status effect take 50% more damage from your skills.
  • Heroic Bosses now drop Exotics
    • Only exotics that the player is qualified for.
      • For world drop exotics it requires that the player has the drop previously
      • For crafted exotics, it requires that the player has the blueprint
      • Eagle Bearer remains exclusive to the Operation Dark Hours Raid
    • The purpose of dropping these is to allow a chance to get GS 500 variants without upgrading, or get materials to upgrade other exotics
    • These exotics can be team shared to other players.
  • Exotic items no longer have a random range on their damage/armor roll. All exotics are set to the previous highest possible value. This also affects existing exotic items.

Skills
Developer Comments: We took a hard look at the current meta. The builds that are fun, effective and popular. We knew that skill builds, while it being something people want to play with, was nowhere near competitive. We knew there was an explosives damage build that was on the fringe of popularity, but none that actually relied on really good skill mods driven by skill power.

We analyzed the best damage builds and survivability builds out there and looked at their efficiency - how fast they kill, how fast they can clear content, how fast they can take down enemies - and mapped that to our skills. How much more power do skills need to get from 3K skill power (our current maximum requirement on skill power mods) to compensate for all the damage bonuses the player is "giving up" on gear to reach that skill power?

Then we looked at each skill and what it should be good at (burst, sustain, single target damage, survivability etc) and went to work tuning the mods to make a skill build approach the efficiency of a "red" damage build or a "blue" tank build. To that effect, here are the current changes to skill mods power levels, and in some cases base numbers, on skills.

Skill Haste

Cooldown Reduction has been replaced with skill haste. Skill haste works equivalent to speed. So 100% skill haste reduces cooldown by 50%, like a car speeding up by 100% getting to it's destination in half the time. This means that the player can invest in more than 100% Haste and still get something back. It also means there's a diminishing return to Skill Haste, as opposed to cooldown reduction where each point was actually worth more than the last one. This allows us to have a good amount of Skill Haste possible from gear, but even larger amounts granted by high skill power Skill Mods, granting skill builds more frequent access to their souped up skills.

To that effect, these are the changes to Haste (formerly Cooldown Reduction)

  • Removed the 90% Cooldown Reduction hard cap
  • Lowered the minimum Cooldown cap for all skills from 10 seconds to 3, except for the Chem Launcher which is now 8
  • Renamed all instances of Cooldown Reduction on existing gear to Skill Haste, with a 50% increase to their base values
  • Eg: +10% Cooldown Reduction will become +15% Skill Haste
  • Increased Surge talent Skill Haste bonus from +10% to +20%
  • Increased Alps Summit Armament 1-piece Skill Haste bonus from +10% to +20%
  • Increased China Light Industries Corporation 3-piece Skill Haste bonus from +10% to +30%
  • Increased Petrov Defense Group 3-piece Skill Haste bonus from +10% to +30%
  • Increased Tip of the Spear 3-piece Skill Haste bonus from +20% to +40%

Specialization Skill Mods (granted from each spec tree)

  • Removed all Skill Power requirements
  • Bonuses greatly improved to provide a strong initial boost to the skill platform

Nintendo has brought families together with their video games for decades, having those young and older share in the delight of playing family-friendly games. However, one man decided to use Mario Maker 2 to share with his family the latest addition to theirs through a level he created.

Jonathan Steele took time out of his way to make a Mario Maker 2 level and bring his entire family to watch him go through it. 

Steele made sure to share a video of his family's reaction to the big news, along with his progress in the level. You can watch both of those in the video below. There are subtitles in the video, so you can make sure you hear his entire family's commentary as he goes through it.

The level begins like the classic World 1-1 level and takes a few unique turns as Steele added his flavors to it. He spoke with NintendoLife about his time making the level, along with why he and his wife chose to make the announcement the way they did.

"We knew we wanted to do something fun and unique but were having a hard time coming up with anything we loved," Steele said to NintendoLife. "Then I remembered that I was waiting eagerly for the release of Super Mario Maker 2. I asked Lissette if she thought it would be cool to use that game somehow for the reveal. She said, 'Yeah, go for it!' Super Mario Bros. is the franchise that got me into gaming. My siblings and I grew up playing the NES together, so I knew it would mean a lot to my family."

A patch will be coming to Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! & Let's Go, Eevee!, and it will fix some bugs in the game.

Let's Go, Pikachu and Eevee are remakes of the original Pokémon Red and Blue games. Let’s Go was release on the Nintendo Switch in November 16, 2018. Though many longtime fans felt the remakes were too easy, the games received mostly positive reviews and sold extremely well. Together, both games have sold approximately 10 million copies.

The games have received several patches over the following year, with the latest patch coming to this game later this day. This new patch will bring the games up to Version 1.2. Serebii reports that the patch will mostly fix some minor bugs.

One of the bugs is a communication error that gamers with a playtime of 999:59 may receive. There is also another bug that may prevent Mystery Gift entry after 10 attempts, even after a sufficient amount of time has passed. Both bugs are expected to be fixed with the new upcoming patch, which is expected to hit the games later today.

The next major titles in the Pokémon franchise, Sword and Shield, are slated to release on the Nintendo Switch in November 15 of this year.

A new notification in Super Mario Maker 2 reveals that players are now allowed to upload double the amount of courses than they previously could.

Super Mario Maker 2 was released on June 28 and received very positive reviews. A sequel to the original Mario Maker on the Wii U, Mario Maker 2 allows players to create Mario courses using similar assets that are found in the games. You can use the same settings, enemies, and power-ups from the games to create your level.

Super Mario Maker 2 was a big success for Nintendo when it was first released, though several gamers found some of the limitations in the game disappointing. This includes the mediocre online play and the relatively low amount of courses that players can upload. You can only upload 32 courses.

However, a new notification in Super Mario Maker 2 reveals that the number of courses that gamers can upload has now doubled. Nintendo Life has a screenshot of the new notification, which reads “The maximum number of courses that you can upload has been increased from 32 to 64 courses”.

The notification also reveals that Nintendo plans to raise the course upload limit one more time.

It appears that Nintendo may offer to fix people’s Joy-Cons free of charge.

The Nintendo Switch uses special kind of controllers called Joy-Cons, which are detachable strips that are a part of the portable Switch screen. Certain Joy-Cons would cause random inputs, even when it isn’t being touched.

This issue would be nickname as the Joy-Con drift, and it received widespread attention after Kotaku published a report on it. The word “drift” comes from how the thumbstick from the controller would recognize movement and start drifting, even though the thumbstick isn’t being touched.

Some players have reported that they have spent 40 dollars to get their Joy-Cons repaired, though occasionally the Joy-Cons will end up breaking again. There’s even a class-action lawsuit against Nintendo, accusing Nintendo for selling a defected product.

Nintendo would release a statement to the Verge:

“At Nintendo, we take great pride in creating quality products and we are continuously making improvements to them. We are aware of recent reports that some Joy-Con controllers are not responding correctly. We want our consumers to have fun with Nintendo Switch, and if anything falls short of this goal we always encourage them to visit so we can help.”

Today, Vice released a memo that they received from a source that is “familiar with Nintendo's updated customer support”. Vice’s memo states that Nintendo will no longer be charging for Joy-Con repairs, and will refund any consumer who already paid for the repairs, provided if they can confirm the prior repair. Players also don’t have to provide a proof of purchase, or confirm their warranty status.

Pokemon Masters, the upcoming mobile free-to-play Pokemon game, is now up for pre-register on both the Google Play and Apple Stores. DeNA developed the game centers around building a team to take on the Pokemon Masters League. The game tasks you with collecting Trainers to make the best team and try to become the Master League Champions.

To register for Android devices, go to the Google Play Store on your and hit the pre-register button. DeNA recommends a device with at least 2G of RAM, and Android OS 7.0. They do not guarantee functionality on all such devices, however. 

To register for Apple devices, you need to visit the Apple Store and hit the pre-register button. Once again, at least 2G of RAM is recommended, along with iOS 11 or higher. The game's file size is 659MB as listed for Apple devices. 

Pokemon Masters is expected to release on August 29, and pre-registering will get an instant notification when the game becomes available to download in your region. Pre-registration is rolling out gradually, so it might take a little while for the pre-register button to show up on the relevant store in your region.

After the Team Rocket Event began this week in Pokemon GO, some players got to experience the fun of finding a Rocket Stop. There they fought a Grunt to try and catch a Shadow Pokemon. Unfortunately, lots of players had several issues. Some were unable to interact with the Rocket Stops, while others didn't find any at all.

Initially many figured out that the Rocket Stops just had a slim chance of showing up. These slim chances made them extremely hard to find in more rural areas. There have been reports from players on Reddit indicate that even in busy locations, the Rocket Stops were incredibly rare. Now, a new twist has gone into the tale with a tweet from the official Pokemon GO Twitter.

The majority of people, myself included, are merely reading this as a narrative spin on the fact that the Team Rocket Event wasn't playing out very well. Now, maybe I am wrong, and this was the plan all along? Perhaps the Grunts were living up to their name? The idea could be that Team Rocket decided to send in some bigger guns to carry out whatever plan it is they are working on at the moment.

Truthfully, I think the event had some flaws. Niantic may have pulled back, and someone had the idea of trying to explain it away as a narrative thing. This method is better than just saying the event is on hold until some of the issues they are attempting to fix. Either way, we'll be keeping on eye on any updates about the game, and when it might return.
