Where is Red in Pokémon Masters?

We know that Red will be appearing in Pokemon Masters because he was revealed on Twitter along with his Signature Pokemon Charizard. But where exactly is he?

Where Is Red In Pokemon Masters?

At the moment, Red does not appear to be in the game, so he may be coming to the new free-to-play title at some point in the future, either through story content, as part of a special event, or perhaps as part of future expansion.

We will update this guide as soon as  Red is added to the game, or discovered.

Who Is Red?

Red was the main protagonist of the first three Pokemon games, so for many players out there he was one of their first introductions to the games and a hugely important part of their history with the games. Red is known as the Champion From Pallet Town and is famous for taking out Team Rocket in Kanto. In later games he can show up as a powerful Pokemon Master, and if the final opponent in games such as Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal

Red has a complex relationship with his former best friend Blue, who Red claims was the source of his interest in Pokemon. When Red picked his first-ever Pokemon, Blue choose the Pokemon that had a type advantage over it, and on that day, their rivalry was born.

In Pokemon Masters, Red wears an outfit consisting of a black shirt, with a red vest that has white pockets. He wears dark blue jeans with a flame detail on it, and a black wristband.

The Last of Us Part II Rumored To Be At PS5 Reveal Event, Graphics DetailsPaolo SirioThu, 08/29/2019 - 07:25

According to a new supposed leak coming from Reddit, The Last of Us Part II will feature "facial expressions and polygons (...) four times complexitivity than Uncharted: The Lost Legacy," and Naughty Dog's engine has been crafted "to rule Sony's next generation."

According to this rush of information, which we can't verify, the graphics have reached a level "extremely unseen," in particular for what matters transitions. "The transition from cinematics to gameplay is extremely unseen, it is like you're still on a cutscene when it is actually gameplay," reads the leak.

Gameplay seems to have received a huge amount of effort from the developers, as the world is said to be "deep and heavy," and overall the "mechanics make the players feel the tension and the need to survive" as never (...) before."

As for the next-generation rumors, the leaker points out that "Sony will be using The Last of Us Part II to show the world the features PS5 has to offer," and this is something we have already heard about in the past, so it could mean this is true or that this is just that rumor coming back over and over again.

"The realism towards the graphics in this title is why he'll be the key Sony may be using during PS5 reveal," further adds the leak, despite stating that TLOU 2 is definitely still coming to PlayStation 4 alongside a next-gen version of sorts.

Based on the previous rumors, we learned that The Last of Us Part II should be coming early 2020, which could be everything from February to May.

Pokemon Masters - How to unlock Missions

Missions in Pokemon Masters are challenges, very similar to how challenges work in other games. Completing each one will give you rewards that can help you in the game. Rewards can include Gems, Training Machines, Level Up Manuals, Gym Leader Notes, and other important items that will help you to build the best possible teams.

How To Unlock Missions In Pokemon Masters

To unlock Missions in Pokemon Masters, you need to play to the end of Chapter 2. Once you have finished all the battles in Chapter 2, the Missions will unlock for you automatically.

There are three types of Missions:

  • General
  • Daily - these reset each day at 06: UTC. Completing all of them in one day will get you 30 Gems
  • Events - these will only be available during Events

To view available Missions, and claim your rewards, click on the bottom right of the screen, on the Poryphone icon, to go into the main menu, then click on Missions. From there you can see all available missions and can claim the reward for the ones you have already completed. You can also check the progress you have made on unfinished Missions.

Completing all the Missions in the same group will also give you a special reward. Always be sure to check how long a Mission will be available for, as some of them will only last a limited time, and should be prioritized while they are available.

GTA Online's Casino Is Being Banned By A Lot Of CountriesNeil GrayThu, 08/29/2019 - 09:18

It took nearly six long years, but on July 23, 2019, we finally got what we thought we'd wanted for quite a while when Rockstar updated GTA Online with The Diamond Casino And Resort. At first, it was a lot of fun as you could spend hours getting to grips with all the games on offer and make or lose fortunes in a blink of an eye, but after the initial razzle-dazzle wore off, cracks started to show.

GTA Online casino

GTA Online Casino Banned

To start with, a lot of people, this writer included, balked at the idea of having to cough up over $6,500,000 to buy one of Penthouse Suites and were even more insulted when they realized that if you didn't do this, you'd miss out on a whole new chunk of gameplay. But what has done even more damage to GTA Online's Casino is that a lot, and I do mean a lot of countries have just straight out banned it.

This is down to the fact that you can use real-life money to buy chips, kind of like the way you can buy Shark Cards to get ahead in-game, and certain governments see this as gambling. Whether or not this is the case, Rockstar is not going to take on these countries leadership, no matter how powerful they are as a company, so in these places, you can't buy any chips to spend in the casino.

Want to know if your country falls into the banned category? Well then, here you go.

New Resident Evil Game Project Resistance Screenshots LeakedPaolo SirioThu, 08/29/2019 - 09:28

Over the last few weeks, we've talked about tests being conducted soon on a new Resident Evil game, and now we've some official details about the title finally. The game is currently codenamed Project Resistance, as shared today by Capcom.

A website has been brought online with the moniker Project Resistance, with the R and E in the title displayed in red as to remark that, yes, this is a new Resident Evil game indeed. A teaser trailer will be revealed on September 9 at 3:00 PM UTC (8 am PT, 4 pm UK, 1 am AEST).

Moreover, the newest Resident Evil game will be shown at Tokyo Game Show, where members of the development team will provide the attendance with first official details and a first look on the next product in the franchise. Residents in Japan can register on that website for a session and will even be able to play the game, in these times of the day:

  • September 12 from 12:30 to 13:10 JST
  • September 13 from 12:00 to 12:40 JST
  • September 14 from 11:50 to 12:30 JST
  • September 15 from 15:30 to 16:30 JST

At the time being, we don't have many details on top that the website carries PS4, Xbox One and Steam logos, which could be a hint about the platforms you should expect the game to come on. It's not an exclusive, and it's aiming current-gen, so it should release in less than one year from now.

In our opinion, considering the way Capcom has been slowly revealing it with private tests first and then a showcase at TGS, it's not a new game in the mainline Resident Evil franchise nor a remake of Resident Evil 3, but possibly a spin-off, whether it's co-op or PvP. We'll see what they come up within a couple of weeks.

Update

Pokemon Masters Not Compatible With Device Error Explained

Pokemon Masters launched today, but some players are receiving an error message that tells them the game is not compatible with their device. In this guide, we will run through some of the causes of this error, and if there is anything you can do to fix it.

Pokemon Masters Not Compatible With Device Error Explained

Make sure your device is 64-bit

Pokemon Masters will only work on a 64-bit device, so this is the first thing to check. If you have a 32-bit device, you will not be able to get the game to run on your phone. You should be able to check this in the phone's Settings, and System menu. DeNA has said they are working on compatibility issues with older 32-bit phones, but it will take time.

Try reinstalling the store app

This may or may not help, but reinstalling the store app is a good idea. Sometimes apps go a bit sideways, and reinstalling them can solve the issue.

Your device may not have been tested with the game

It is difficult for developers to test every device for a game because there are so many different types of phones on the market. As such, the app store may only be telling you that your phone is not on a list of compatible phones, so is not letting you download the app. A good solution here is to download the APK independently from the store. You can do this by going to a site like APKpure and downloading the APK from there. Keep in mind, downloading files like this can be risky, and you will need to keep updating the APK as a new version comes out.

This is the most likely issue if you are getting the compatibility error, and should solve it for you. It will just be a little awkward to update it each time, as you will need to download the new APK when it comes out.

If this still doesn't solve your issue, then the app will not run on your phone, I am afraid.

Pokémon Masters Microtransactions explained

Pokémon Masters Microtransactions explained

Pokémon Masters is a pretty straightlaced mobile title when it comes to microtransactions in the game, but there are a few key points that might confuse some players.

There are three currencies in Pokémon Masters, but the main one you will be using are Gems. Gems account for two of the different currency types, with one being Gems (Non-Paid) and the other being Gems (Paid) - and this distinction is essential for when you try and get more Sync Pairs.

As the main currency in the game, Gems can be easily collected through completing Story Chapters and Missions in the campaign of Pokémon Masters. But you can also purchase Gems too through a separate menu when you go to draw Sync Pairs. This is all done using real money and can essentially be accessed as soon as the tutorial missions for the story are done.

There are the typical set amounts that are always available for the same price, but as is standard in most mobile games now, there is almost always a bundle on sale that will give players a bit more bang for their buck.

Gems Screenshot

  • 100 Gems $0.99
  • 1500 Gems $12.99
  • 400 Gems $3.99
  • 3400 Gems $29.99
  • 5200 Gems $44.99
  • 9800 Gems $79.99

There is no limit to the number of Gems you can purchase in the game, but Pokémon Masters does allow you to set notifications if you want to be warned before spending too much on the purchased Gems.

The important distinction between paid and non-paid Gems comes when using the Sync Pair Scout function to obtain new characters that you can battle with. There are a lot of characters that can be collected by just completing Story Missions, but this is just another way to get more pairs and also power up the ones you already have.

It takes 300 Gems to perform one scout, or you can exchange 3,000 at once to perform scout for 10 pairs at once. Some banners allow players to turn that 3,000 Gems into a 10 pair pull while guaranteeing at least one five-star Trainer. But for the regular banner, there is a third option that gives users who have paid Gems a bit of a discount.

There is a "Daily Discount" pull that uses only paid Gems, which gives a normal Scout for just 100 Gems. Paid Gems can also be used for normal pulls with no limit however. Either way, once a player performs a Scout they will receive three Scout Points. Once that total reaches 400, players will get to select one Scout Pair they want from a banner and instantly receive it in exchange for their Scour Points.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey - How to Heal Snake Bites

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey - How to Heal Snake Bites

Nothing pumps the breaks on evolution quite like dying, and there are lots of ways to lose members of your tribe in Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. Something you will need to familiarize yourself with early in the game is the threat of snakes and poisonous bites.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey - How to Heal Snake Bites

For the most part, you should be able to overcome snake bites, and other venoms, but simply drinking water. This will take some time however, and there is a way to get over the effects of a bit quicker.

The first thing you need to do is find some coconuts. There should be plenty of them in the starting area, and you can find them by using your sense of smell. It can be a good idea to bring some tribe members with you to get as many as you can, so you keep a stock of them with you, just in case.

Once you have the coconuts, you need to crack them open. You can do this by using a rock, or just stripping the coconut of its tough outer layer. To do this, you need to be able to switch hands, so make sure you have the right option in the Nueronal Upgrade Tree.

Once the coconut is open, then drink the sweet, sweet coconut milk inside, and this will cure you of venom. If you like, you can strip the coconut by holding it in your left hand and stripping it with the right hand, then carefully use a rock to take off the top. If you mess this up, it will destroy the coconut, but if you succeed, you will be able to eat it and gain a lot of venom protection, and also reduce your hunger.

This method becomes easier to do as you advance along the Neuronal Upgrade tree, although there is always a chance that you might destroy the coconut. As long as you have some spare coconuts, there is no reason not to try, and it can be worth practicing in the starter area due to the plentiful supply of coconuts to be found there.

Zinogre returns to the hunt in Monster Hunter World: IceborneCale MichaelThu, 08/29/2019 - 11:52

Capcom continues to bring fans what they want as the fan-favorite thunder wolf wyvern, Zinogre is making its return in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

Zinogre is a powerful beast that, despite its large size, is one of the most agile monsters in the Monster Hunter catalog. By summoning Thunderbugs from its surrounding habitat, Zinogre charges itself up and it will start dealing damage and stun based on its enhanced electric properties.

First appearing in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the Western audience, Zinogre tends to live in mountainous areas where it can freely hunt its prey. Any Hunters that trek into its territory will need to be on guard because this beast is very aggressive and will attack anything in its path on sight. Bring plenty of gear designed to absorb shock damage, because stunning arcs of lighting are going to be a common theme in a fight against Zinogre.

If you manage to beat it down until the charge disappears things will get easier, but that is easier said than done against a beast that is both strong and quick. The reveal trailer also showed off a Turf War between Zinogre and a Rathian, so there is a chance your hunt could become even more deadly.

You can even take down this returning favorite to build up its classic armor set.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne releases on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Sept. 6, with a free beta coming this week.

Pokemon Masters: How To Cure Status Effects Guide

Pokemon Masters is out now, and the three vs. three battles are heating up in terms of strategy for trainers everywhere. A notable feature in the battles is how items function, namely they're attached to a particular sync group. Because items function in such a manner, some trainers are curious about how they can go about curing status effects. Here's how you do it.

Curing Status Effects in Pokemon Masters

Much like any item you're going to use in Pokemon Masters, you need to find the right trainer who uses it in their kit. The first notable trainer players encounter who can cure status effects is Barry and his Pokemon companion, Piplup. You're going to receive these two at the end of the second chapter in the game. He's the first trainer, outside of any sync pairs you may have already acquired from the store, with access to this ability. It's the first one on the right side, called "Full Heal."

During combat, when a status effect hits a Pokemon, you need to use Barry's, "Full Heal," ability. It works the same as if you were attempting to heal a Pokemon. When you click on the skill, you're going to see a pop-up screen of all three of your Pokemon. You need to pick the one you want to apply the full heal on to, and when it's Barry's turn to attack, he's going to use the full heal item to cure your Pokemon. They should no longer suffer from the status effect.

Beyond Barry and Piplup, the other pair who can use a Full Heal are Cheren and Stoutland.

Pokemon Masters Sync Pair Roles Guide

Pokemon Masters Sync Pair Roles Guide

The trainers in Pokemon Masters come with a unique series of moves and skills when you acquire them. These skills and moves define how you're going to use them in combat. However, there's a quick, sure-fire way to see what kind of Sync Pair you have and what they're going to optimize at in a battle. You can see this in the Role portion of their stat sheet, but what do the symbols mean?

Sync Pair Roles in Pokemon Masters Guide

There are three different roles a trainer can get assigned in Pokemon Masters. There's the punching symbol, the heart, and then the exclamation point. They stand for Strike, Support, and Tech, respectively. Each one provides a different benefit and assists players during a battle. Here's what each of the roles focuses on during a battle.

  • Strike: A trainer and Pokemon with his role specialize in attack and special attack during a battle. These Pokemon focus on hitting hard, so they don't have as much defense of health.
  • Support: A trainer and Pokemon with this role have a large amount of health available to them during a battle. However, they may not have the best attacks. They're likely going to have a helpful ability that benefits the entire team.
  • Tech: A trainer and Pokemon with this role are going to have a form of attack that inflicts a status effect against an opponent.  They won't have the best health, but their attacks are going to have a lasting impact against your opponents.

Discovering the correct combination of Sync Pairs in a team is critical. You don't want to go into a fight with three Strike pairs, because they're incredibly squishy and are going to get taken down in short order. However, you also don't want three Support pairs, because while it's going to take a while for them to fall, they're not going to do too much damage.

You're going to better off having a strict combination of Sync Pairs. For example, you'll find you're going to benefit having a Support pair in the middle formation, acting as your tank. On the sides, you can choose to have a pair of Strikes to deal quick damage, or a Strike and a Tech hitting your opponents with an attack that does damage over time or slows them down.

While finding the correct combination that works for you may take some time, you want to ensure you're not focusing on a single group. Spread your Sync Pairs out, and mix and match your team to fight any opponent. Also, remember to keep the weaknesses of your opponent's Pokemon in mind, too.

Pokemon Masters - Maximum Trainer Level Guide

All of the trainers in Pokemon Masters have a series of stars associated with them. These stars determine how rare they are to add to your team and how powerful they can become. These stars also determine the Sync Pairs maximum level in the game. What are those maximum level thresholds, and how high can they go? We detail those levels for you below.

Maximum Trainer Level Guide for Pokemon Masters

The different stars on the trainer matter. These determine how high of a level the Sync Pair can reach, but you do need to upgrade them to reach each maximum level tier. Here are the maximum levels for each starred trainer, and how much they can go to before you need to upgrade them.

Three Star Trainers
  • Base Maximum Level: 30
  • First Upgrade Maximum Level: 45
  • Second Upgrade Maximum Level: 60
  • Third Upgrade Maximum Level: 75
  • Final Upgrade Maximum Level: 90
Four Star Trainers
  • Base Maximum Level: 35
  • First Upgrade Maximum Level: 50
  • Second Upgrade Maximum Level: 65
  • Third Upgrade Maximum Level: 80
  • Final Upgrade Maximum Level: 95
Five Star Trainers
  • Base Maximum Level: 40
  • First Upgrade Maximum Level: 55
  • Second Upgrade Maximum Level: 70
  • Third Upgrade Maximum Level: 85
  • Final Upgrade Maximum Level: 100

As you can see, the more stars a trainer comes with the more levels they can have at the end of the game. These levels determine the strength of the Sync Pair. The stronger the pair, the more useful they're going to be towards the end of the game.

Does Astral Chain Have Co-op?

While Astral Chain is largely a singleplayer experience, there is a co-op mode if you feel like taking on some invading bad guys with a friend. In this guide we will show you how to play co-op in Astral Chain.

How To Play Co-op in Astral Chain

Astral Chain Coop Menu

In Astral Chain, you can play co-op by having one player control the main character, while the other controls their Legion companion. You will need to carefully co-operate to get the most out of the game this way, and will need to be very much in tune while fighting.

To begin co-op, just open the main menu at any time using the minus button. Then, scroll to the co-op tab. Click on "Begin  Co-op Play", and then pair the two controllers by hitting the R and L bumpers. To quit co-op, the player controlling the main character will need to go back into the menu to turn it off. Simply select "End co-op play" from the same menu you started it from.

Remember, the highlight of Astral Chain is the nuanced combat as you control the interactions between the main character and their Legion, so be sure you focus on working together during co-op play to get the most out of the experience. You'll need to pick your targets, and let the other player know your intentions if you want to dish out the most damage possible, and not die a lot in the process.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey - How to Find the Baby Hominid

In Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, the game opens with a violent bang, killing off a clan member and leaving an orphan stranded in the jungle. From here there are two options: take the fearful orphan home to his clan, or help him hide in the brush until help arrives.

This point in the game might be called the tutorial, as it does give some brief advice on controls. Still, it’s a nerve wracking spot to be in for the new player with the added fear effects all over the screen and the confusing controls, just keeping that new primate alive is terrifying.

The first option is to guide the baby home. IGN has a brief guide on this both options, thankfully, as this one doesn’t seem to be the most obvious choice in the game. The tutorial even pushes the player to hide. Using the baby’s intelligence, find the diamond that represents home and head to it. Players will need to battle the baby’s fear the entire way, but upon returning home, will be greeted by happy adults and elders.

The second, and more obvious, option is to hide. Players that choose to hide will need to locate a square icon, identify it, and if it says it’s a hiding place, run to it. Once there, they can press a button to hide.

Finding the Baby Hominid

For players that chose to hide, they will now be tasked with finding the orphaned hominid. Playing an adult in the clan, they can make their way through the forest using their senses and intelligence to follow the sound of the frightened orphan’s cries. According to Game Revolution, when using your senses and hearing, the baby’s sounds should come up as a yellow circle. If, when sensing, you do not see the yellow circle on your screen, move further into the forest.

Where the baby actually is depends on where the player chose to hide. They could be near the clan’s settlement or very far away. Using the sense and focus abilities are key in this brief tutorial.

For some, the baby’s location is marked on the screen, leading them directly to them and making the process very simple.

Once players find the baby, they will need to soothe it and take it back to the clan. At which point, the players are free to do whatever they would like to evolve and progress.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey - How To Move To A New Settlement

In exploring the world of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, you’ll likely run into points called landmarks. A diamond often represents these while you’re using your intelligence. Landmarks have the option to become clan settlements if you happen to stumble into the right order of operations to unlock it.

Game Revolution’s guide is invaluable, especially if you stumbled into the right process by accident and didn’t know how to repeat it. First, you must discover a landmark you like. There are many in the jungle, but getting to them is quite the task, with snakes, boars, giant eagles, and saber-toothed cats. Focus on a landmark to keep it on your screen without pulling up intelligence.

Once you’ve discovered a landmark you like, make a bed near it. If you don’t know how to build a bed: gather natal grass into a pile and highlight it then select the build option. From there, choosing the bed gives you an option to settle in the new location.

Beware, however. Moving to a new settlement without your entire clan is a pain. Game Revolution warns if you decide to progress to the next generation, you lose the other clan members. The game considers those members dead. It’s not impossible to rebuild from there, should it happen, but it is difficult.

If you do not move to the next generation, you still need to get your clan. There’s no internet in this world. If you find a settlement alone, then you need to return to your tribe and lead them all there. Alternatively, if you’re looking to move, bring your entire group with you to the new location. Going it alone as a scout might be a more comfortable option overall.

Once you’ve all reached the boundaries of your settlement, congrats, you’ve officially moved to a new location and are free to progress time further.

How to unlock every Sync Pair in Pokémon Masters

At launch, Pokémon Masters has a whopping 65 Sync Pairs for players to collect and use in battle. Not all of them are going to join you the same way, and they are not all available right now.

Outside of your player character and your Pikachu, you get six characters from completing Story Missions in the game, while the other Sync Pairs come from through Scouting.

Each Scout to obtain a new Sync Pair from the Pokémon Center costs 300 Gems or 300 of the main in-game currency. There is an option to do a group Scout of 10 Sync Pairs for 3,000 Gems, or if you purchased Gems through microtransactions, you get a daily Scout for a reduced 100 Gems.

Any of these Scouts brings up a Sync Pair from whatever banner you are pulling from. If the pair is one you don’t have, it will automatically get added to your Trainer collection, and you can use that pair in your team building. If it is a repeat pair that you already pulled, then that pair get a power-up for their Sync Move, or you get a Power-Up item equal to the Sync Pair’s star level.

Here is a break down of how and where to get each of the Sync Pairs currently available in Pokémon Masters

Pokemon Masters How to Unlock Coop Mode

Pokemon Masters How to Unlock Coop Mode

A notable feature in Pokemon Masters is teaming up with your friends in an online mode to fight in the three vs. three battles. You want to call in a friend when you're having trouble with a particular battle in the game. Adding another player and their Sync Team can genuinely make a difference. Here's how you go about unlocking the coop mode in Pokemon Masters.

Unlocking Coop Mode and Multiplayer in Pokemon Masters

Unlocking and Using Coop Mode

You're going to naturally unlock the Coop mode in Pokemon Masters by playing through the game. The option does not happen until chapter 11. It's reasonably far into the game, so you're going to need to rely on your Pokemon team and their Sync Pairs to see you through each of the battles. When it does unlock, though, you're going to need to add them to your friend's list. You cannot use the Coop mode in Pokemon Masters without having someone on your friend's list.

To add someone to your friend's list, you want to give them your 16 digit ID code. You can find this in your profile, in the game. For those who already own a Nintendo Switch and synced it Pokemon Masters, you can use the same one. Anyone who joined the game without a Nintendo Switch profile got one when they made the account. You can find it in the Poryphone, on the lower right-hand section of the screen. Click on the phone, and you can find it at the top of the screen. Copy the code and send it to your friend. If they send you their code, you can go to the Friends section of the Poryphone to input the code and add them.

How to Use Pokemon Master Unity Attacks

From the start of Pokemon Masters, the game has a brand new move called the Sync Move. It's a unique ability all Pokemon can use after they perform nine different attacks during a battle. When you're in Coop made, you're going to have access to a brand new move called a Unity Attack.

To properly use a Unity Attack in the Coop Mode, all the Pokemon on your side need to have full move gauges. When those gauges are complete, they can unleash a devastating attack against your opponent, combining their strength into one strike. You're going to get excellent results from relying on this ability, primarily if you can communicate and plan a strategy with your partner. You don't want to rely too heavily on it, especially if the opponents are consistently attacking you while you're waiting for the gauge to fill up.

World of Warcraft Classic: How To Level Fast

World of Warcraft Classic: How To Level Fast

WoW: Classic is a nostalgic blast from the past for a lot of people, but there's no getting around it: it's very slow-paced compared to modern MMOs.

In some ways this is refreshing; I remember getting burnt out on trying to catch up to current content on Final Fantasy XIV after a few months. WoW: Classic's sedate pace and lack of a reason to rush for endgame is almost soothing.

Still, there are certain things you can do to speed the process up, and it's always nice to have the option when you're feeling the grind.

The first thing you need to do is keep in mind precisely what kind of timescale you're looking at. 168 hours is the average estimate for how long it's going to take you to hit 60. Unless you make WoW Classic your life, it's going to take months, and it's next to impossible to do it in less than a month.

With that in mind, don't feel the need to push yourself playing the game; for most people, that's just going to kill your interest fast, for no real benefit in the grand scheme.

Once you've made peace with the fact that you're going to take months slowly chewing your way through, here's a few quality of life methods to make the grind less frustrating.

Install a Quest Addon

World of Warcraft Classic has a plethora of addons available to smooth your experience. None will do so more than a quest tracker. Questie is a lot of people's favorite at the moment, but there are others.

Classic lacks a lot of the "hand-holding" modern RPGs tend to have, primarily things like quest and objective markers. These quest trackers add markers showing where new quests are, and where their objectives lie on the map. This add-on is one of the single most significant time savers you can employ, as Classic expects you to read quest dialogue and check out where objectives are from that.

This is often interesting and fun but can get tedious: mainly when the instructions are vague.

Play A Self-Sufficient Character

Pure DPS characters are the way to go. You kill monsters faster and don't need heals and buffs outside of dungeons, so you can blast through quests with ease.

Most other characters are fine as well; I'm playing a Troll Shaman and making good progress. Hybrid characters deal substantial damage and get some neat other options to interact with the world as well.

Healers and tanks though have a rough time. Your damage is low, making killing monsters a likewise slow process. Going this route means you want to team up with a friend, which comes with issues.

Play Together...Solo

If you're planning to level up as fast as you can, play solo. Or, at least, don't form a party under most circumstances. Creating a party splits monster experience between the party members, thus slowing your leveling.

The splitting of experience points isn't a hard and fast rule; some quests can be completed much faster with a friend (like Gathering Cactus Apples and similar quests, or quest bosses). But anything that requires you to collect monster parts or something similar is going to take forever in a party. You need to gather twice as many pieces, which is often more than twice as many monsters; quest drops have drop rates in WoW Classic.

So you're getting screwed on both experience and quest progress in a party for quests like that. Your progress is going to slow to a crawl.

Take a Break

Sometimes you're going to hit bottlenecks. Quest bosses, in particular, respawn slowly and die instantly to the mob of hungry players looking to finish their quests and move on. The reports of orderly queues to complete quests are cute and do happen sometimes. However, don't bank on it. I got stuck trying to kill Zalazane for about two hours last night as the orderly line devolved into a chaotic mess of players desperately trying to get first hit in for their party.

This option isn't for solely for your sanity; remember the glory of rested XP. If you log out in a capital city or an inn, you get 200% extra monster experience on logging back in, for a while that scales based on time played. If nothing else you can take a break, come back, and kill some monsters to level while stuck in the bottleneck.

One final piece of relevant advice, for people who want a slight, ruthless edge at low levels:

Play a Tauren

It turns out, a low level, instant cast AoE with the Tauren's stomp is an excellent way to snipe the first hit on a respawning boss, so there's that for you merciless sorts out there.

Warframe - How To Get Gauss

Warframe - How To Get Gauss

Gauss, the latest arrival to Warframe, is all about speed. He likes to barrel around at high speeds, smashing into enemies, building up charge with his passive, and then unleashing devastation on everything around him. His ultimate ability, Redline, allows him to push his battery charge to dangerous limits, supercharging his abilities and setting his Fire Rate, Attack Speed, Reload Speed and Holster Rate into overdrive.

Guass looks like an incredibly fun Warframe to play, and while people are worried that he might just replace Volt completely, I'm just curious to get my hands on him and see how he feels.

Warframe - How To Get Gauss

You can get the parts for Gauss by diving into the new Disruption Mode Expansion. You will need to head for the Senda, Kelpie node, and get busy grinding as Gauss components can be earned from finishing rounds of Disruption Mode at this location. The components will drop on Rotation C only, so prepare to grind it out. You will be taking on the Grineer, so be sure to build accordingly. Once you have all his components you will need to buy the main Blueprint from the Market for 30,000 Credits.

You will need to grind this node to get your hands on the parts for Gauss, so make sure you are bringing in a solid Warframe to take on the challenge, and building into the right damage types. Personally I like to bring Rhino, because he is an excellent utility Frame for this mode. Not only can his Iron Skin keep him alive, but he can also provide his teammates with a solid damage but, and his Stomp ability can give you safe windows to heal allies, and can also interrupt the Demolyst as it races to blow up a Conduit.

Gauss Component Build Costs

Neuroptics

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 1 Argon Crystal
  • 1600 Rubedo
  • 6200 Salvage
  • 2950 Alloy Plate

Chassis

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 3 Radian Sentirum
  • 3 Heart Nyth
  • 6 Star Crimzian
  • 55 Grokdrul

Systems

  • 15,000 Credits
  • 3 Radiant Zodian
  • 3 Marquise Thyst
  • 70 Mytocardia Spores
  • Thermal Sludge

The usual build times of 12 hours for the components and three days for the Warframe apply.
