Ghost Recon Breakpoint: How to Preload and Play Early

The Ghost Recon: Breakpoint open beta wrapped up over the weekend. Unfortunately, a handful of players may have found it a bit difficult to log-in during that time because there was a specific error going around, preventing them from logging on to play. The developers at Ubisoft were hard at work solving the issue, and for some, they were able to get in and experience the game. Those who did are eager to play more. They want to experience the adventure of the next story in the Ghost Recon franchise.

How to Preload and Play Ghost Recon Breakpoint Early

For those interested in preloading the game before it releases on Oct. 4, you better make sure you have it pre-ordered to your Ubisoft uPlay account or the one you want to play via your console. You can pre-order the game directly from the uPlay store, or you can grab it from several respective websites. You're going to want to make sure you attach it to your account. Here is the list of available retailers you can choose from:

For those who are going to visit the Amazon, Bestbuy, or GameStop store pages, make sure you verify the console you want to play. You don't want to pre-order the incorrect one and have to go through the process all over again. You're not going to enjoy having to start over when you could otherwise spend that time pre-loading the game.

Does Ghost Recon Breakpoint have Early Access?

Yes, it does. Players who pre-order the Gold or Ultimate editions for Ghost Recon Breakpoint are going to have access to the game a full three-days early. This early access means they're going to find themselves in the thick of the game on Oct. 1, starting at midnight in their respective regions. If you're interested in jumping into the game earlier than everyone else, make sure to spend the money to get in on it. Yes, you're going to find yourself spending a bit more money than the standard pre-order edition to jump into the game.

Make sure you spend time going through the game and keep your wits about you on Aurora. There are plenty of ways you can find yourself dead on the ground if you're not too careful, because this game is quite a bit like a survival game, and you're going to find yourself spending time making sure you're ready to face down any foe in your path.

Shawn Layden Departs PlayStation’s Worldwide StudiosRobert WorkmanMon, 09/30/2019 - 20:27

Some strange departures are leaving their mark in the game industry as of late. First Reggie Fils-Aime left Nintendo to work on other things. Now, it appears that another well-known executive is on his way to something new. But this time, it’s Shawn Layden.

The Worldwide Studios chairman for Sony Interactive Studios has left his position, though there’s no word as to why. The official PlayStation Twitter account broke the news a bit earlier today, with the following statement:

It is with great emotion that we announce that Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden will be departing SIE. His visionary leadership will be greatly missed. We wish him success in future endeavors and are deeply grateful for his years of service. Thanks for everything, Shawn!”

Layden has had a storied history with Sony. He joined them way back in 1987 but made waves when he was given the chairman position for Sony’s Worldwide Studios in 2014, taking over for a departing Jack Tretton. Since that time, Sony’s seen major headlines behind its hardware and software, most notably with games like God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man. And he also provided a push for The Last of Us Part II, which was finally given a release date last week.

He hasn’t said a word about where he’s heading next, and details surrounding his departure haven’t gone out. But one thing’s for sure – Sony business won’t be the same without him. Here’s a video of him revealing the return of Crash Bandicoot a few years back during E3. In his unique way, of course.

Good luck with what you do next, Shawn.

Destiny 2: Why Is the Forsaken Content Missing After the Move To Steam?Robert WorkmanMon, 09/30/2019 - 21:43

Tomorrow, Destiny 2 begins its next evolution under Bungie’s care, with the new Shadowkeep expansion set to arrive. With that, PC owners will experience a change. The developers are hard at work, moving the game over from Battle.net to Steam.  But there’s a small problem – a few players seem to be missing their content from the previously released Forsaken chapter.

A few users were rather upset when they found this content missing from their game after they linked their Steam account to the game. One even reached out on the Bungie forum, with the following complaint:

“The title says it all. I linked my steam account, confirmed that everything was ok, moved my game from bnet to steam... and it doesn't show on my library in steam.”
However, it appears that the reason for the content missing from some folks’ accounts is because it hasn’t fully completed the transition to Steam just yet. A veteran user by the name of NinjaKitteh noted, “Destiny 2 is not yet active on Steam. It will not be available on Steam until Oct 1st, and your Battle.net data has not yet been moved to Steam. The PC Move info is to prepare for when Bungie creates the massive data files that will be sent to Steam.”

So hopefully, within just a few hours, the problem will be resolved, and players will be able to enjoy their complete experience. If anything changes, however, we’ll see what Bungie has to say on the matter. But more than likely, they won’t leave players hanging.

Destiny 2 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Cube World: Does it Support Windows 7?

Cube World: Does it Support Windows 7?

Cube World is an action-adventure video game that was released on Microsoft Windows on Sept. 30. The game uses blocky-based graphics, looking somewhat similar to the highly popular Minecraft game. Cube World has you create your own character and choose your own class. You explore this cube-based world and explore many dungeons.

Cube World has been in development since 2011, and an early-in-development version of the game was initially released in 2013. The game wouldn’t be fully released until today, and one of the biggest question gamers have for the game is its availability. While it was always meant to be a Microsoft Windows game, when that early version of the game was released in 2013, it was able to run on Windows 7.

Six years later, Microsoft Windows 7 has become outdated. Whereas newer versions of Microsoft Windows can play the game fine, it didn’t seem as if there was a way to play the game on Windows 7. This has become an issue to some gamers as they initially purchased the game on their Windows 7 back in 2013. Is there a workaround?

Cube World: Does it Support Windows 7?

The short answer is technically no, but there is a temporary solution to the problem. There’s no official way to have Cube World work on Windows 7, yet one fan on Reddit seemed to have found a solution. Reddit user Andoryuuta was able to figure a way to have the game be playable on Windows 7, and shared that information through GitHub and Reddit.

Though we haven’t tried the solution ourselves, a Reddit moderator validates Andoryuuta’s and says it is safe to use. Other players on the Reddit page also confirmed that Andoryuuta’s solution has worked for their version of the game.

Here’s how GitHub lists out the solution:

  • Head over to the releases page and download the zip file.
  • Extract the .dll files to your cube world directory, next to your cubeworld.exe.

If you are willing to try, you can test the solution yourself. However, the game will still crash when you exit out of the game, so it is only a temporary solution.

Not only that, but Microsoft plans to end support for Windows 7 on Jan. 2020. What that means is that Microsoft will no longer provide technical support for any issues, software updates, and have security updates or fixes.

With Microsoft Windows 7 on its last legs, it may be simpler to update to a newer version of Microsoft Windows rather than go through the hassle to make Cube World compatible with Windows 7.

The Best Video Games Based On Tabletop RPGs

D&D 5e box art
Jeremy OwensTue, 10/01/2019 - 04:30

Tabletop gaming is one of the best experiences you can have, so it’s no surprise that people have made various attempts to translate that into video game form. A lot of these games are isometric RPGs; top-down, tactical, and cleaving as close to the tabletop mechanics as possible. However, not all are (and some of those tend to be my favorites). There is a surprising amount to sift through, many of which are not very good, due to a combination of factors.

Many haven’t aged well, like the Shadowrun game for the Super Nintendo, while others just weren’t very well put together in the first place. Some of those made this list, in part because they’re kind of important for the context of what these games are like, or they had great concepts that were executed better later by games not explicitly based on a TRPG.

The Best Video Games Based On Tabletop RPGs

In no particular order, here are my favorite video games based on tabletop RPGs:

Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition

A close up of a logo

Description automatically generated

I have a love/hate relationship with this game, based on Dungeons and Dragons’ Forgotten Realms setting (and the prominent city of Baldur’s Gate in particular). It is, without a doubt, a clunky game. The interface is obtuse (particularly if you’re trying to play a prepared spellcaster). The game is hideous even with the ‘enhanced’ visuals, and it’s designed with the idea of it just being the first part of a three-part adventure. It is because of this reason it feels a bit incomplete, especially when it comes to leveling up (a typical D&D game can go to level 20; this game is only designed to hit level 8 or so). It doesn’t help that I never actually played AD&D, so the mechanics are not as intuitive to me as other games on this list.

Still, its impact on the isometric RPG genre can’t be denied, and it does have a certain amount of charm. The breed of computer RPG that makes a one to one translation of the tabletop mechanics is a dying breed, and the companions are an eclectic bunch, if a bit shallow compared to newer RPGs (and even later games in the same series).

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Description automatically generated

Here's another isometric RPG beloved by a lot of people. Interestingly its mechanics aren’t based on any of the Star Wars RPGs, not even the closest mechanically to this game (Star Wars Saga Edition), but the rules are ripped pretty much straight from D&D 3.5.

This is one of the games that put Bioware on the map, and it’s easy to see why. It plays well, the story is good, and all the companions are unique and exciting (something the company would later become well known for). It is not my favorite Bioware RPG (that honor still goes to Dragon Age: Origins), but it’s still a close contender.

This is one of the few Star Wars properties I ever really got into; I was never the biggest fan of the movies, but the Old Republic setting feels so much different than what was the modern-day of the universe at the time. It’s kind of sad it’s no longer considered ‘canon.’

Warhammer 40k: Inquisitor - Martyr

A close up of a sign

Description automatically generated

I have minimal experience with the Warhammer 40k tabletop experience; I made a character for a Deathwatch game that never got off the ground once, and that’s about the extent of things. I do, however, have a fair bit of experience with Warhammer video games, of which there are a lot. I played the Halo knockoff Fire Warrior before I ever played actual Halo or even knew what Warhammer 40k even was, and have chewed through a fair few games based on both 40k and Warhammer Fantasy.

If it officially had the license, E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy would be my pick for best 40k game, but alas it did not. Space Hulk: Deathwing by the same company ironically did not capture the same spark as E.Y.E. despite that being a Space Hulk game with the serial numbers filed off.

With that off the table, Martyr takes the spot, being a very solid Diablo-clone. I hear it had some severe issues on release, but I never picked it up until after the vast overhaul several months back, and I had a blast playing with a couple of friends.

This is an excellent pick if you like Diablo-clones and the Warhammer 40k universe, since it faithfully applies a lot of the features of the setting, even in its mechanics (playing a Psyker can and will be a hazard to you and your friends’ health).

Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara

A picture containing text, book

Description automatically generated

I love this game. It is not an isometric RPG. It is not an RPG of any kind, it’s a side-scrolling beat ‘em up in the style of Golden Axe, and it is great fun.

It is based on the old Mystara campaign setting (pretty much defunct, these days) and is technically two games: Tower of Doom and Shadows Over Mystara, released in 1993 and 1996 respectively for arcades (and Sega Saturn).

The game holds up well, with quite a nice sprite work and surprisingly complex mechanics for this style of game, with a ton of technical elements like dashing and turning attacks, along with spells that can be cycled through for some of the playable classes.

The only thing that makes this game show its age instead of seeming like a modern “throwback” release like Shovel Knight is that it came out at a time when Dwarf and Elf were classes, the same way Fighter, Cleric, and Wizard (then ‘Magic-User’) are today.

It’s a riot playing with four friends, even if the balance issues are pretty readily apparent (as in real D&D, spellcasters rule supreme) and I wholeheartedly recommend it

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines

A person wearing a costume

Description automatically generated

This game is interesting. It is flawed in so many ways (some fixed by mods) but with the kernel of something excellent within that shines through. It scratches a pretty niche itch, or a heavy roleplay vampire focused game and scratches it better than the tabletop itself, in my opinion. I have zero love for the World of Darkness RPGs, which I find exciting setting/lore books to read but painful games to play.

Bloodlines doesn’t have that issue, despite being unfinished. There are a lot of flaws to look past, from visuals that were outdated even when it was new, to clunky combat, to options that aren’t as fleshed out as they should be, but if you can look past those it’s a unique experience. And let’s be honest; it’s not all that much more broken than Morrowind was, and people still love that game.

I’m especially looking forward to seeing how the recently-ish announced sequel follows up on the game with a larger budget. Hopefully, it keeps the soul of what made this game great.

Planescape: Torment

Pretty much everybody that played this game loves it, including me. At first, glance that might seem odd, given how much I reamed out Baldur’s Gate (Enhanced or not) for being clunky and having not aged well, but where Baldur’s Gate has a fairly generic story and companions backing up those mechanics, Torment does not.

It is an almost unique tale, with a plethora of interesting characters; no surprise since this game was cooked up by Black Isles, the studio behind the original Fallout games (and whose core staff eventually came to make up Obsidian).

It helps that the most tedious and clunky part of Baldur’s Gate (the combat) is reasonably sparse in Torment, so the mechanical flaws are papered over.

If you like a game that is mostly running around and having interesting conversations with people, Torment is a must-play.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2

A picture containing arthropod, animal, invertebrate

Description automatically generated

This is a great Left 4 Dead-style game, with a nice twist: each character has several customizable abilities and talents, as well as “ultimate” abilities with a cooldown which have some significant impact.

It’s a fun game, and more replayable than even Left 4 Dead single player was. The balance was borked a bit with its most recent DLC, but mostly on the higher difficulty levels, and I have hopes that’s some of the changes will be reverted soon to make enemies less spongey and for the more skill indexed mechanics to be re-buffed.

Other than that it’s still great fun for hours at a time, with a ton of different weapon types, a variety of enemies, and fun characters. Saltzpyre for life, though.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker

A picture containing text, book

Description automatically generated

Kingmaker is another odd one. It scratches an itch in some ways; it’s almost exactly like playing a solo campaign of Pathfinder (my most played tabletop RPG, and in some ways my favorite), with the plot of an Adventure Path people liked. The mechanics are largely familiar, and the build options are surprisingly diverse, with popular builds using options pulled from even relatively obscure Pathfinder sourcebooks.

On the other hand, it suffers from some critical flaws, mostly in the few ways it deviates from the tabletop experience. Thankfully, that’s where mods come in, elevating an okay game into quite a good one.

Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition

This game was my introduction to D&D. Ironically I did not get started on actual tabletop games with D&D proper (it was Pathfinder that drew me in), but Neverwinter Nights gave me the bug to start, even if it wouldn’t bloom for years afterward.

It is, in my opinion, a superior take on the Baldur’s Gate formula. It’s set in the same Forgotten Realms setting but flashed forward to the 3rd Edition or 3.5 era. The rulebook is over a hundred pages long and reads like a mini D&D sourcebook full of Feats, spells, classes, and prestige classes.

The game itself plays more fluidly and is a lot more fun, as is the sequel, though it is generally less well regarded.

Of special note is the community component to this game, with people able (and encouraged) to make custom dungeons and campaigns to share with other players — just a great all-around experience.

Shadowrun: Hong Kong

A close up of a sign

Description automatically generated

Shadowrun is another RPG I’ve never played the tabletop version of, though unlike Warhammer, I’ve always wanted to give it a shot. It’s had a lot of video games over the years, but few in recent memory until Harebrained Schemes brought the series back to digital form with Shadowrun Returns in 2013.

Returns was solid, as was Dragonfall, but Hong Kong by far the best, for my money. A more engaging plot, slightly refined mechanics, and interesting companions make for a fun experience.

It ends up a bit more tactical than similar entries in the isometric RPG genre, playing almost like an X-Com game but with more options. Despite (or because of) having no voice acting, it has engaging and numerous dialogue options to choose in your many interactions with other characters.

It is an excellent experience for anybody who wants to experience the weirdness of Shadowrun’s magical cyberpunk setting, or who likes in-depth RPGs.

Nintendo Switch Lite New Model Already Submitted To FCCPaolo SirioTue, 10/01/2019 - 05:00

Nintendo Switch Lite was released less than a couple weeks ago, but it looks like Nintendo is already working on a hardware revision. As reported by Digital Trends, the company has filed new documents with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for a new version of the Nintendo Switch Lite.

As you might know, registering a product to the FCC is mandatory before its release in the United States, and this could mean that the revision could be already on its way, at least for that territory. The new version has the identification number BKEHDH002, different from the currently available BKEHDH001.

Of course, we don't have information about what this new model could be bringing over, and it's rather unusual to see such a move happen so close to the release of a console.

Related: Five reasons to buy a Nintendo Switch Lite even if you own the original Switch

However, it's worth noting that the production of the original Nintendo Switch Lite has started months and months ago, so in the meantime Nintendo might have perfected some of its production solutions, improved or fixed stuff, and so on.

We're all looking at the Joy-Con drifting issue, which has not been resolved at all with the launch of the Switch Lite, even though people were expecting it to end with this model. It hasn't merely because the analogue sticks are the same as the original console.

So, could this be a revision that fixes that issue? Possible, even though we don't expect any particular announce this time around as this is something merely technical and not an improvement of sorts.

Halo Reach Xbox One PvP Flight Invitations Coming This WeekPaolo SirioTue, 10/01/2019 - 05:22

343 Industries has announced it will be sharing invitations for the first Halo Reach flight on Xbox One very soon, as early as this week.

Invitations will be deployed in a few days, but the team has been rather explicit about one simple request it has for people willing to participate: delete all the previous Halo Insider builds, otherwise the latest could have technical issues when started.

The test will be useful for the developer to understand how PvP works on this new version of the game, which is being released as part of Halo: The Master Collection Collection on the console.

"First and foremost, we are looking to test Player vs. Player (PvP) matchmaking at scale on Xbox One," said the studio in a blog post on Halo Waypoint.

"The team has spent a significant amount of time getting the backend setup and have tested it at a smaller scale for PvP, but it is time to stress-test everything further," said 343i. The studio further explained that the purpose of the test will go beyond the simple stress of the servers.

"The other key goal is to gather feedback from players on the game experience. We want to know how the game feels, plays, and what your input is on the map, mode, and offerings provided for the overall PvP experience."

It's worth noting that Halo Reach on Xbox One is going to be more a remaster of sorts rather than a simple re-offering of the game in the MCC. As it, for example, will come complete with a new progression system powered by Unreal Engine, on top of the already existing engine of the game (which had led to several technical issues, now fixed).

Nintendo Switch Firmware Update 9.0.1 Now Available, Here's What ChangesPaolo SirioTue, 10/01/2019 - 05:30

Nintendo has just deployed a brand new firmware update for Nintendo Switch, which brings the console up to the 9.0.1 release.

As you might expect, it's not introducing anything major, nor particular features on top of the existing firmware, but is working on it to polish some bugs that had popped up over the last few days.

In particular, a bug that turned to be very 'popular' on the Internet at the release of the Nintendo Switch Lite was the one that prompts a tutorial screen on the initial setup of the console to remove Joy-Cons even though it doesn't come with the detachable controllers.

Also, we learn thanks to the changelog that Nintendo has "resolved an issue that may have triggered errors during gameplay," even though this is not very specific so we don't know what the "issue" in question might be.

We've reported about the possibility that Nintendo might be already working on a hardware revision for the Nintendo Switch Lite. We know nothing about it, but could be leading to a major fix to drifting, the issue that is currently present in all the console of the Switch line and has not been fixed yet despite the release of two new models in the last few weeks.

Cheap Indie Game Sells PSN Avatar At €99,99Paolo SirioTue, 10/01/2019 - 05:45

We're quite used at people making games just for the sake of making money because they think nowadays it's straightforward to do so, for some reason.

This could be one of those cases if you consider that you can now purchase a PSN Avatar for €99,99 (around $99) on the EU PlayStation Store for PS4.

The item is called the State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem - Golden Prince Avatar and depicts, well, a golden prince, I guess.

Of course, this could be a pricing error if you look at all the prices of the other avatars for this game. However, this is a well-known practice that trash indie titles apply, selling the core game for just a couple dollars and then trying to capitalize on avatars and cosmetic stuff like that on PSN.

Someone on the forums also claims it's a marketing stunt for the core game, State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem, which is an indie shooter with top-down visuals that has a PSN description translated with Google Translate in my Italian client. If you want to check it out, it's available for €8,99 (less than one-tenth of the price of that avatar).

Sure enough, there's a chance that now you do know something about this game when a few minutes ago you didn't have any idea about that. I don't know whether this will be positive publicity or not, but at least you know it now.

How To Play Call Of Duty Mobile Battle Royale

Call of Duty Mobile is launching across the globe today. The game brings Call of Duty's signature visceral multiplayer action to your mobile device. As well as multiplayer gameplay like Frontline, Domination, and TDM, the game also includes a Battle Royale mode. You won't be able to play this from the start, however, but it is not very difficult to unlock.

How To Play Call of Duty Mobile Battle Royale

Call of Duty Mobile Main Menu

To play Call of Duty Mobile's Battle Royale mode, you need to reach player Level 7. You can see your player rank in the top left-hand corner of the screen. You level up; you need to play games of multiplayer and earn experience. The better you perform, the more experience you will earn. As you level up, you will also unlock new weapons, perks, and equipment to use in your multiplayer games. You will also need to play through a couple of shot tutorials, as everyone's favorite soldier Ghost leads you through the controls of the game. Once you reach Level 7, the option to play Battle Royale will open on the right side of the screen.

    Battle Royale Loadout

To start, you can click on the Battle Royale icon, and it will take you to the start screen. Before you do this, you should go into Loadouts, then click the Battle Royale symbol to make sure you have your loadout set correctly for the mode.

While you cannot choose a starting weapon, you can choose skins for the various equipment and vehicles you will get access to during the game, as long as you have them unlocked.

When you are all set, go back to the main screen, click on Battle Royale, and then the start button to get launched into a game.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint PC Crashes Fix

For those jumping into early access for Ghost Recon Breakpoint, you're ready to go, and you want to jump into the game immediately. There's plenty to do, and with Ubisoft making it easier than ever to get going on the game, launch day is going to a grand time. However, some players are PC experiencing a reoccurring crashing error whenever they try to log into the game. Luckily, there's a distinct workaround.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint PC Crashes Fix

If you played the Open Beta Ubisoft ran from Sept. 26 to the 29, you might find yourself experiencing this issue. Others who chose not to partake in the event likely are not having a problem with it on their PC, and can freely ignore it. However, if you did, it appears Ubisoft may have accidentally left a particular file in your game to cause the crashes, and now you have to find it.

Related: How to Change your Class in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Wherever you have the game stored on your PC, you want to locate it. You need to find it in your main directory, and you should see the massive installation folder under "Ghost Recon Breakpoint." When you find it, click on it. You're going to see a long line of text files. These are all of the files the game is using to run on your select desktop. Thankfully, you only need to locate the single file.

You're looking for the one labeled: DataPC_TGT_WorldMap.forge.

When you find it, click on it, and hit, "Delete." It should go away from the main files. Closeout of the folder, and you proceed to try logging into the game. Instead of crashing, you're going to find yourself continuing to the loading screen, and you're back in the game.

Hopefully, this solves your problem. If you're experiencing another issue with the game, you're going to want to reach out to Ubisoft on their main website and describe the issue to their support staff. The more information you provide them, the faster they're going to be able to assist you with the problem.

Mortal Kombat 11 Officially Reveals Terminator GameplayRebekah McPhersonTue, 10/01/2019 - 09:51

Once Mortal Kombat (2011) revealed Freddy Krueger as a DLC guest, Netherrealm Studios continued the trend of featuring iconic pop culture characters from movie or video game franchises in their iconic fighting games including Injustice. When Predator became DLC in Mortal Kombat X, fans have been speculating if the Terminator will be one alongside him. While it wasn't the case despite adding DLC costumes for Johnny Cage and Jax, Mortal Kombat 11 finally brings Terminator into the Mortal Kombat world.

Unfortunately, the voice is not provided by the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger, but the impersonation does a great job of capturing his voice. The motion capture might be Arnold as it looks super accurate, though with how advanced video games are with graphics, that might not be the case.

The gameplay is stellar in staying true to the Terminator's character and provide one of the most outlandish but awesome fatalities so far. Netherrealm Studios knows how to make them over-the-top but amazing to watch with its cinematic approach. As for intros and outros, we can expect funny and nostalgic throwback lines and give a ton of fanservice to fans of the franchise. Early access for the Terminator will be released on October 8 for all platforms.

Alongside the gameplay trailer, there will be more costumes in a pack titled Double Feature, and to coincide with Joker, who is unreleased at the moment, a Cassie Quinn costume. Who else is ready to play the iconic 80s movie character next week?

Call of Duty Mobile - How To Open Battle Crates

Call of Duty Mobile is out today and can be downloaded for iOS and Android. The game brings all the excitement of Call of Duty's signature multiplayer to your mobile device, but it can be a little challenging to figure out at first. You can, if you wish, choose to buy Battle Crates of various types in the Store by using COD Points, the game's premium currency.

Battle Crates is a reward you can earn from a level up, finishing certain challenges, and other activities in the game, but where do you go to open them?

Call of Duty Mobile - How To Open Battle Crates

    Call of Duty Mobile Loadout

To open Battle Crates, you must first go into your Loadout. In the top left of the screen, you will see four icons. The icon further on the right is your Inventory. Click on it to open the Inventory screen.

    Inventory Screen

From here, you can see all the items that you have in your Inventory, including your Battle Crates. From here, you tap on your Battle Crates to open them. Rewards can include gear, cosmetics, XP Cards, or Credits.

If you choose to buy Battle Crates from the Store, they should automatically open at the time of purchase, but Battle Crates that you win through achievement, challenges, and leveling up will need to be opened from the Inventory screen as shown above.

A quick note on the XP Cards, these are not used from the Inventory screen, and can instead be used to add XP to a weapon of your choice from that weapon's screen in your loadout. Just click on the weapon, then click on Upgrade in the bottom right corner, select the XP Cards you wish to use, and it will add the experience to the weapon, unlocking new attachments.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: How To Read Gear Levels

For those who are jumping into Ghost Recon Breakpoint, you're going to find some things that have changed about the game that is going to show up in the initial few missions. The most significant change is the introduction to gear levels. When you're exploring the world and taking out bad guys on Auroa, you're going to have the chance to loot some of their stuff. You're going to see your overall gear level on the upper left portion of your screen in your loadout menu.

How To Read Gear Level in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

A character's gear level does not directly reflect the total amount of all of the gear slots available to your game. Instead, they're going to be the average of the overall total. So, one particular item could offset it considerably and increase it, but it may not match the weapon or gear piece's total level if it's significantly higher. You're going to use this gear level to get an idea of how fierce the combatants are in the game.

Related: Ghost Recon Breakpoint PC Crashes Fix

For example, the first time you see this mechanic is during the initial mission of the game when you land. One of the final helicopter crashes is going to feature the enemies, Wolves, patrolling it and protecting it. When you first see these Wolves, they're going to have a level of 150 above their head. This number means you're going to want to fight them with a gear level of 150.

Overall, though, the best way to increase your gear level is to continually play the game and continue to acquire new gear pieces for each of your slots. Your weapons are essential, but your gear is going to assist you and add modifiers to your character's stats.

A handful of missions in the game are going to have gear levels associated with them, too. The two big ones are going to have gear levels 150 next to them, meaning you have a ways to go before you're taking on the main baddies in the game and getting revenge for your fallen squadmates. Feel free to explore Auroa to find what you need, and continually run through missions.

However, the exact contents of this album haven't been completely known until now.

According to a PlayStation Blog post, each artist wrote about some theme from Death Stranding, such as love, loss, or connection. The full tracklist for the album is below:

If you haven't pre-ordered yet, all three editions are still currently available for pre-order. For everyone else, the album will be released on November 8, alongside the game. It will be available on various music streaming services, and there will even be physical copies for purchase.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: How To Change Items in your Inventory

You're going to discover the gear you carry on your character in Ghost Recon Breakpoint is going to determine how you handle particular encounters. Do you have mines covering you? You might want to lead your enemies in an ambush, blowing a good chunk of them up. Are you about to fight a particularly tough enemy? Pull out a quick buff in the middle of the fight. You can't carry everything with you into a battle, but your items are going to change while you play the game.

How to Change Items in your Inventory in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

You can spend time modifying your inventory whenever you have a free moment. You don't have to wait until you're hanging out at a bivouac. All you need to do is open up your menu and look for the "Loadout," tab. You should be able to locate it by finding the backpack icon on the upper portion of your list.

Related: How to Read Gear Levels in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Click on it, and you're going to see your gear with all of your weapons and equipment. At the bottom of your screen, you're going to see a backpack with six already filled slots. These slots are going to make up all of the items you can freely pull out in the middle of combat and on the fly without having to pause your game. You don't want to click on the backpack to open it up. You want to remain on the loadout screen. Click any of the six items, and you're going to see a smaller menu with the list of available items you can replace it with pop up. Pick any you want to swap it out for, and you're going to be able to pull out this item in your radial menu during combat.

If you want a full view of your inventory, click on the backpack and you're going to go to a separate menu. You're going to see all of the available items on your person at that time, along with any resources you may have acquired along the way. Resources are essential to Breakpoint because they're going to allow you to craft items while you're hanging out at a bivouac.

Make sure to change out your items regularly depending on your overall playstyle and how to make sure you're ready for any situation. You don't want to find yourself in the middle of a tough fight, and you don't have any healing items.

Warframe - How To Farm Atlas Prime Relics

Atlas Prime, he who controls boulders and the earth, is getting his Prime version today. If you want to get your hands on him, you need to farm the following Atlas Prime Relics. I can see this Warframe having a strong fashion game, and the Atlas Prime model marks a dramatic increase in visual appeal over the standard Atlas.

    Atlas Prime Relics

The critical thing about farming for Primes is knowing which relics to look for while playing the game. The following Relics contain the various components you need to build Atlas Prime and the rarity of the component.

    • Blueprint - Common - Lith D1
    • Chassis - Uncommon - Meso E3
    • Neuroptics - Rare - Axi A6
    • Systems - Uncommon - Neo A3

    Atlas Prime Relic Farming

You can earn various Relic types by doing different activities. These are some of the best activities, in my opinion, to earn each type of Relic.

    • Lith - Hepit in the Void. A quick Capture practically guaranteed a Lith Relic upon completion. You spend a short amount of time in this mission.
    • Meso - Io on Jupiter. A Defense mission, the A rotation has a very high chance of dropping a Meso Relic. Do ten waves, then leave and repeat for Meso farming.
    • Neo - Xini on Eris. An interception mission. The A rotation is a guaranteed Neo Relic.
    • Axi - Xini on Eris. The B and C rotations on this Interception will drop an Axi Relic. This area allows you to farm Neo and Axi relics at the same time.

There you go Tenno, now should have no problem farming those Atlas Prime Relics. Best of luck.

Warframe - How To Farm Deathcube Prime Relics

Dethcube Prime has arrived and ascends to his Prime version. The offensive Sentinel has been in the game for quite a long time now but has gotten no Prime love until today. He comes with the Prime Deth Machine Rifle, so expect to see a lot of people running around with this fancy looking friend after they unlock him. Dethecube is still a stun lock machine and is useful for dealing with high-rank enemies in endgame activities.
