Dragon Quest XI: Definitive Edition Tops Japanese Sales ChartsRobert WorkmanWed, 10/02/2019 - 12:01

It’s only been out for a few days, but Square Enix’s Dragon Quest XI: Definitive Edition is already taking over the world.

Months after it released for PC, the game came out for Nintendo Switch last week, complete with a new retro mode that lets players enjoy it in a classic old-school style. And that seemed to be enough of a draw to make the game the number one seller last week, based on Japanese sales numbers.

The game managed to sell over 303,000 copies in its debut, which is a huge number for the series. That puts the game in the running for one of the best game launches in Japan for the year. And, on top of that, it pushed sales for Dragon Quest XI in all over four million, between physical and digital releases!

Here’s how the top ten fares in general for the week:

  1. Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition- 303,204
  2. Code Vein (PlayStation 4)- 60,843
  3. Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout (PlayStation 4)- 53,428
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening (Nintendo Switch)- 45,775
  5. Y’s IX: Monstrum Nox (PlayStation 4)- 45,378
  6. FIFA 20 (PlayStation 4)- 43, 751
  7. World War Z (PlayStation 4)- 27,872
  8. Monster Hunter: World Iceborne Master Edition (PlayStation 4)- 26,324
  9. Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout (Nintendo Switch)- 25,538
  10. Super Mario Maker 2 (Nintendo Switch)- 14,731

Dragon Quest XI also helped push Nintendo Switch sales to new heights for the week. The base model sold just over 115,000 units in the past week, pushing overall sales to 9.1 million for the region. Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch Lite is also doing well, with over 80,000 units sold, and 258,000 systems out the door since launch.

This should lead to a very strong holiday season for the Switch and its games. The only real question here is how much they’ll take off once the new Pokémon games arrive next month.

Meanwhile, congrats to Square Enix and Nintendo on a successful launch! We’ll let you know when worldwide sales numbers for the game become available!

Sierra, Cliff, And Arlo Are The New Team Go Rocket Members In Pokemon GoMisael DuranWed, 10/02/2019 - 12:22

New images and the names of the recently revealed Team Go Rocket members in Pokémon Go have been released.

A few days ago, the official Pokémon Go Twitter account tweeted out some distorted images. The images were found by Professor Willow, who discovered them in a corrupted file. The distorted images were linked to Team Go Rocket, the evil Pokémon Organization that is based on Team Rocket from the games. Each image had the Team Rocket logo and three mysterious people.

We would get a clearer image of the mysterious people in a newer imaged released by Niantic yesterday. The new image showed a trainer confronting the three new characters on a staircase, while Giovanni stands on top. Thanks to the new image, we finally get to the see that the three mysterious people are an older woman in a white suit, a buff man in a black uniform, and a younger person who is wearing some eye protection and a black uniform. They are all members of Team Go Rocket, and their uniforms contain the official logo of Team Rocket.

Early today, the Pokémon Go Twitter account released three new images on these new characters. These brand new images appear to be clean out versions of the distorted photos that Willow initially discovered. We get a much clearer look at the new Team Go Rocket members, and each picture has a title. The titles are probably the names of the members.

The image of the muscular man holding a Poké Ball is labeled "Cliff." The photo with the younger person with the glasses is titled "Arlo." Finally, the picture with the woman in the white suit is called "Sierra."

"Cliff," "Arlo," and "Sierra" are most likely the admins for Team Go Rocket. Admins are like lieutenants for evil organizations in the mainline Pokémon games. While they are never as strong as the leaders of the organization like Giovanni, they are much more powerful than the average grunt.

Destiny 2 - Captive Cord Location - Lunar Battlegrounds Location Guide

The Essence of Failure needs the Captive Coil to be cleansed. Eris Morn isn't the best with directions, or remembering where discarded parts of unusual weapons are, so in this guide we will show you how to get to the Lunar Battlegrounds, and where to find the Captive Coil.

Destiny 2 - Captive Cord Location - Lunar Battlegrounds Location

Essence of Failure

To get your hands on the Arc Logic, you will need to complete the Essence of Failure. To do this, you will need to complete the following steps:

  • Complete Patrols, Public Events and Lost Sectors on the Moon
  • Auto Rifle Kills
  • Captive Cord found

The Captive Cord is a piece of a weapon that can be found on the Lunar Battlegrounds. To get to the Lunar Battlegrounds, spawn in at Sorrow's Harbor on the Moon. Jump on your Sparrow, then follow the road but keep to the right side of the area. You will come to a red bridge on the right. Cross it and follow the tunnel all the way through, then cross the next bridge and jump off the end.

Swing to the right for a short distance, but watch for an opening in the cliff face to your left. Move through it to get to the area you need. The Captive Coil will be located on a building to your right. When you enter the area, a waypoint should appear on top of it that will lead you right to it.

If you would like a video that will show you the route to take from the Sorrow's Harbor spawn to the Captive Coil, just click the embedded video above. Once you grab the Captive Coil and finish up the other parts of the challenge, you will be able to get the Arc Logic weapon.

Rebekah McPhersonWed, 10/02/2019 - 12:45

The idea of a video game remake can either be the best thing or the most dreadful thing to imagine. There are questions like, “Why remake something that’s already great?” Sometimes, remakes can bring a bigger audience that hasn’t been exposed to the original game.

And while Final Fantasy VII Remake is looking to be a groundbreaking one, it is a bit too early to be on this list. Consider it an honorable mention at the moment. With that out of the way, here are 10 of the best video game remakes!

10 Best Video Game Remakes

Image result for super mario 64 ds

Super Mario 64 DS

Super Mario 64 is one of the revolutionary games and has been the basis for future Super Mario games. A remake for the Nintendo DS is enough to enjoy the classic game with enhanced graphics and additional features such as being able to play as Luigi, Yoshi, and Wario. It might not be strong for multiplayer, but the single-player campaign is just as faithful and fun to play again.

Image result for crash bandicoot n sane trilogy

Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a remaster that grabbed the attention of fans who have played the original games in the 90s. This is also a nice gateway to get into the Crash Bandicoot games as it’s very faithful while improving the game’s visuals, audio, and manual/autosaves.

Image result for halo the master chief collection

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Similar to the previous entry, Halo: The Master Chief Collection does its job well with enhancing graphics and audio. New content also helped make the collection not just be a simple remaster. Multiplayer struggled at first but eventually got fixed, eventually making the collection a gem for Halo fans to play for years to come.

Image result for ocarina of time 3ds

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

Ocarina of Time was a perfect game at its time, and arguably still is. Nintendo capitalized the game’s legacy by releasing an HD remake for the Nintendo 3DS and it has been critically acclaimed as one of the greatest remasters ever. Those with a 3DS will either return to the nostalgic journey or start blind in this beautifully crafted game.

Image result for doom 2016

Doom (2016)

It is surprising that Bethesda’s fourth entry for the Doom franchise would be a remake, but boy does it excel to its original counterpart. While revamping the graphics, sound, and gameplay, Doom (2016) also added a level creation tool, making the game more expansive and challengingly fun. With Doom Eternal coming in November, it will be a title that will have replay value for the time being.

Image result for tomb raider anniversary

Tomb Raider Anniversary

Tomb Raider became an insanely popular game, and we wouldn’t be surprised if it was because of the iconic Lara Croft. To celebrate Tomb Raider, Anniversary remade the first game and it shows how much it improved from 1996 polygons to 2008 detailed graphics. It is a love letter to fans since the 1996 game and we can hope for future remakes.

Image result for shadow of the colossus ps4

Shadow of The Colossus

The original PlayStation 2 game was critically acclaimed for having an innovative story and engaging gameplay. Once a remake was announced, fans were overjoyed to play it again. As a remake, Shadow of The Colossus evolves in scope and just about everything a remake does. For a heartbreaking game, this is the one that gamers do not mind getting sentimental over, whether it is the first time playing or not.

Image result for shadows of valentia

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia

Fire Emblem has its share of remakes, starting with the third entry Mystery of the Emblem, Shadows of Valentia is without a doubt the best remake Fire Emblem has done to date. While its drawback is the not-so-great map designs, the visuals, music, and combat have improved significantly. The story even added additional characters to make the story improved and it certainly did not disappoint.

Image result for resident evil 2

Resident Evil 2

Capcom has been doing great for Resident Evil remakes, and with the recent Resident Evil 2, it was quite a trip. Fan-favorite Leon Kennedy just looks so great in his HD debut, and Claire looks as gorgeous as ever. It definitely has increased in the terrifying meter, but that is a good thing for a beloved horror game series.

Image result for pokemon heart gold soul silver

Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver

Pokémon has also had its fair share of remakes, but HeartGold and SoulSilver are the best remakes without question. The idea of remaking the two Game Boy Color while implementing elements from Crystal is one of Game Freak’s ingenious ideas. It felt new, but similar, improved, but the same. Fans of the second generation games can unanimously agree that HeartGold and SoulSilver are just perfect.

When Can You Grab Untitled Goose Game on PS4 and Xbox One?Robert WorkmanWed, 10/02/2019 - 12:56

House House has done extraordinary work on its Nintendo Switch/PC release Untitled Goose Game, allowing everyone to be the jerkiest goose they can be across several scenarios.

The team recently talked about their success with ABC Australia, explaining that it originally started as a joke – but has now blossomed into a full-blown success.

That said, the question has arisen as to whether the Goose will make his way to other platforms. Well, the team addressed that during the interview, which we’ll break down below.

So When’s It Coming To Other Platforms?

While discussing the game’s success – and its continuing sales past the 100,000 unit mark, which it already reached – they talked about the idea of bringing the game to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Though a release date wasn’t given, that appears to be a confirmation, provided that the game can see a successful port.

The team noted it “hopes” to bring the game to those platforms. While that’s not a full-on confirmation, it sounds like this would be a great idea, expanding the idea of being a bothersome goose to a new audience and pushing the game’s sales even further. Now it’s just a matter of if they can get their resources together to get the job done. At the very least, we probably wouldn’t see the game until sometime in 2020, maybe even beyond.

The Success of the Goose

Porting the game to other platforms makes sense, mainly because of the diversity they’re going for with Untitled Goose Game. “We’re trying to capture a non-gamer audience,” co-creator Stuart Gillespie-Cook explained during the interview. “That's what is exciting to us when these people from outside the gaming sphere seem to be talking about it."

It’s been a social media darling since its release, and, again, with over 100,000 units sold over the past few days alone – and a number one spot on the Australian Nintendo eShop – that success is likely to, ahem, ruffle some feathers.

We’ll keep you informed when the team has a release date available for other platforms. But, for now, the game is available for download on Nintendo Switch and Epic Games Store. And it’s well worth it, considering all the honking fun you could have. Check out the trailer below to see it in action!

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: How to Open Locked Doors

You're not going to have access to every room or building you encounter in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The game puts you in the middle of hostile terrority, and these hostiles know how to protect their homestead. They're going to try and prevent you from getting to their secrets at any point they can do so. A method they've done is locking doors behind select buildings, forcing you to find out how to get through them.

How To Unlock Locked Doors in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

These doors are not going to have a lock; you can pick using an ability or a particular tool kit. Instead, the game is going to force you to get a little more creative. The enemies of the game are innovative in how they prevent players from gaining access to select locations with electronic access panels. The only way is to know the code or have the small chip attached to enemies.

How do you get past these doors if there's no skill or toolkit available? You ask an enemy to help you out. Unfortunately, they're not likely not going to help you out too much, so you're going to have to make them a bit more willing to help you by taking them out. Take out a nearby enemy, and then sneakily approach them and start carrying them.

With them over your back, bring them to the locked door access panel, and the door should recognize the enemy's electronic code, opening it up. Yup, you don't have to do anything else other taking out an enemy and gaining access to the building.

When you get inside the building, you're going to find plenty of valuable items and equipment you can take with you. Don't hesitate to go out of your way to find these doors and take out enemies to open them up. Because there's no skill or toolkit attached to the doors, it makes this content available to everyone playing the game from the start.

Mario Kart Tour - How to Collect a total of 100 coins using a baby driver

Mario Kart Tour - How to Collect a total of 100 coins using a baby driver

To keep the mobile game alive, Mario Kart Tour has challenges the player can complete to earn either coins or rubies. Some are easy, some are time-consuming. Then there are challenges that require specific needs, such as this one.

Mario Kart Tour - Collect a total of 100 coins using a baby driver

As stated, the challenge to collect 100 coins using a baby driver is simple enough. How to do it exactly requires RNG or saving up coins at the shop. It might not sound like a good use of coins, but for a challenge, it will help with getting more rubies. Characters that will help with the challenge are the following:

Baby Mario

Baby Peach

Baby Daisy

Now to collect the 100 coins, it seems daunting to think that you need to gain 100 coins in a single match, but that is actually not true. For example, you can pick 3DS Daisy Hills T with Baby Daisy as your character and just play as you usually do. However many coins you get will stack up until you get to 100 coins total.

Other courses you can do are:

Cheep Cheep Lagoon, Daisy Hills R with Baby Peach

Mario Circuit 1 T with Baby Mario

These courses will give you three items per Item Box, meaning a better chance of getting more coins. If you happen to get three coins from an Item Box, then you can go into a frenzy and tap as many times as you can to earn more coins and land yourself in first place.

This is not likely to happen, but it is possible and will unlock the challenge faster. Bonus coins you get depending on your score will not count, so even if you get more coins, it won't be added to the challenge progression.

Even if you aren't lucky with getting a ton of coins, the challenge is still possible but will take a bit longer. Do it in your own time before the challenge expires and you will eventually be rewarded!

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: How to Find More Blueprints

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: How to Find More Blueprints

Much like The Division 2, players are going to find they need to discover weapon and attachment blueprints while they're playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint. These blueprints are useful because they're going to give players access to weapons they can crat with their quartermaster, Maria. She's going to craft them at different values, making them stronger as the game goes on and players unlock them. Here's the best way to find them.

How to Find Blueprints in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Intel

The best method of discovering new weapon blueprints is learning about them in enemy locations. When you're in the middle of an enemy base or sneaking through their buildings, you might find a phone or folder full of information. You'll see a list of options available to you to locate a blueprint in the region, popping up on your main menu.

You can choose to head to this location, but be warned. There are plenty of enemies guarding these locations, and they are eager to take you out. You can choose to avoid them as much as possible, grabbing the blueprint and then leaving. However, it's never that easy. You're likely going to get into a gunfight or three trying to get it. Along the way, you're probably going to find another folder full of information to gain access to a new blueprint or find some new gear off of the enemies you take out.

Talk to Civilians

You want to avoid the locals whenever you're in a combat encounter because killing them is a big red flag. However, when the shooting stops and you're the last person standing, walk up to them and talk to them real quick to learn about what they know. Some of them are going to give you access to additional faction missions, but they may also know about blueprint locations.

Make sure to spend time looking around an area to find a piece of intel or to speak to a local to learn more about the island. You'd be surprised what you find in the area. The more blueprints you have, the more weapons you have to choose from before going out in the field.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: Weapon Stats and What They Mean

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: Weapon Stats and What They Mean

Understanding weapon statistics is vital in any game. You need to know how to modify your weapon and figure out what gun you like to use for your character. This answer is going to vary based on a player's playstyle and the type of class they're playing. For Ghost Recon Breakpoint, you're going to want to review the more in-depth stats before committing to a weapon type. Not every weapon is going to work for all four classes in the game because some of them specialize in particular ones more than the others.

Weapons Stats and What They Mean in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

You have five weapons statistics you need to become familiar with when playing the game. They are Accuracy, Handling, Range, Mobility, and Recoil. You can read all of these by opening up the Gunsmith tab by highlighting this weapon in your inventory screen and then holding down "T."

Accuracy

The higher accuracy you have, the more likely the weapon is going to hit exactly where it says it's going to hit. For example, sniper rifles are going to have some of the best accuracies of the game because they are precise weapons. They can also shoot at extremely long distances, but another statistic exclusively determines that.

Handling

After you've fired a shot, how much is your weapon going to sway from its original target? Handling doesn't determine this, but it helps it remain on point. A majority of weapons are going to have decent to mediocre handling. However, the powerful sniper rifles and LMGs are going to have some of the worst. Snipers have bad handling because they're usually one shot and then you have to readjust, making it challenging to remain on the single target. When it comes to LMGs, they fire so many shots at once; it's difficult for your character to hold the weapon in place.

Range

How far can your weapon fire its bullet without it become compromise? Typically, weapons with incredible accuracy are going to have a decent range, too. Weapons like shotguns, LMGs, and SMGs are going to have terrible range because they're designed to get handled at closer proximity. If you want to keep your range from your opponents, make sure your weapon has a decent range to assist with it.

Mobility

How difficult is the weapon going to be to carry and make your character's life harder to move around? The lower mobility score your weapon has on its stats, the heftier it is to carry around. You're going to notice it because your character is going to move around with it, running back and forth. If you want your character to remain fast and agile, you'll want a higher mobility weapon.

Recoil

Much like handling, after you've fired a shot the weapon is going to move around, and it's going to sway from its original target. The more recoil your weapon has, the harder it is to remain on target while you continue firing. The handling makes it a bit better to stay on point, but the recoil is eventually going to force you to stay on target.

Keep these statistics in mind when you're viewing the guns in the game. Not all of them are going to function perfectly for every class of character. You also want to make sure the weapon with a higher gear level is going to truly benefit you, besides raising your gear level in general.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: How to Drink Water and Refill Your Canteen

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: How to Drink Water and Refill Your Canteen

Survival is something you have to think about critically whenever you're running around in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. You're not only trying to survive the endless onslaught of enemies in the game, but you have to keep your body in check. A critical thing you can do to help battle fatigue is by drinking water. It's a straightforward task. However, the game doesn't cover it too well. You might find yourself getting more tired and unable to do things before it talks to you about this survival technique.

How to Drink and Refill Your Canteen in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

The first thing you're going to need to drink any water is to equip your canteen to your quick item access menu. To do this, you need to open up your main menu and pull it up on the lower half of the six slots. If one of the bottom slots are open, you can freely place it into the slot. However, if you have an item in the slot, you need to take it out and exchange it with the canteen.

When you have it equipped, switch to it in the quick item access menu and click "G," or whichever button it is for your respective console. It's going to take your character a few seconds to perform the animation, but when they finish it, they should have no more fatigue on their stamina bar.

You only get a handful of uses for the item. When you run out, you need to locate a freshwater stream to refill it. You're going to need to find one that's not inside of a swamp or near the ocean. You're going to want to find one nearby a mountain. When you approach the water, you can stand in it and, if you have your canteen in your quick access menu, you can freely refill your item and have all of your uses returned to you. Eventually, you can gain a water filter to grab water from a swamp or a saltwater source and treat it like a freshwater stream.

Are Zombies Coming to Call of Duty: Mobile?

Are Zombies Coming to Call of Duty: Mobile?

Call of Duty: Mobile is finally out, and while it doesn’t have everything you’d get from a full console title in the long-running franchise, there’s still plenty to do. At launch, Call of Duty: Mobile has several multiplayer game modes, including Battle Royale and a traditional team-based mode, which plays out across popular maps from earlier titles in the Call of Duty series. One question that a lot of players are still left asking is, does Call of Duty: Mobile have a Zombies mode?

Unfortunately, the answer at launch is no. Call of Duty: Mobile doesn’t have a Zombies mode yet, so you’re left just fighting other human soldiers for the time being. That doesn’t mean that the iconic game mode won’t be making an appearance at all, though. Zombies is one of the most popular game modes in Call of Duty, so even if we didn’t have as much evidence of its existence as we do, it would be safe to assume that it would eventually make its way into the game. We’re not just going on speculation here, though. While Activision hasn’t officially announced a release date, all signs point to Call of Duty: Mobile getting a Zombies mode soon.

Related: How To Play Call Of Duty Mobile Battle Royale

Throughout development, Call of Duty: Mobile’s developers have been clear that the game will be getting a Zombies mode at some point. Pre-launch gameplay footage — like the video below from TheGamingRevolution — showed the popular game mode in action, and it seemed like Zombies would be active at launch, but apparently the mode needed a little more work before it made its way to the public.

In the Call of Duty: Mobile app itself, you can see the grayed out logo for a third game mode that clearly looks like an icon for Zombies with the words “coming soon.” Barring some major setback, Zombies will be coming to Call of Duty: Mobile, and given how far along the mode seemed to be in preview footage, it likely won’t be too long of a wait before it arrives.

Related: Can You Play CoD Mobile Offline?

Based on preview footage of Call of Duty: Mobile, its version of Zombies mode will be pretty different from how the mode worked before if nothing is changed for the final release. Rather than the wave-based rounds that previous Zombies modes used, Call of Duty: Mobile’s Zombies mode will feature short missions capped off with bosses. Zombies can be played solo or co-op with a four-player team.

Destiny 2 - Necromatic Strand Location - Hall of Wisdom Location

For the Essence of Brutality in Destiny 2 you will need to find the Necromatic Strand. It is located in the Hall of Wisdom on the Moon. In this guide we will show you where to get it.

Destiny 2 - Necromatic Strand Location - Hall of Wisdom Location

The Essence of Brutality will give you three challenges that you need to complete to clean the Essence.

  • Complete Patrols, Public Events and Lost Sectors on the Moon.
  • Hand Cannon kills.
  • Necromatic Strand Found

To find the Necromatic Strand you need to make your way to Archer's Line. Just spawn in at Eris Morn, then go left on your Sparrow and follow the route until you reach the broken transport line that cross the map.

Jump the ravine and head for the two large metal doors on the far side, and make your way down the pathway. Be careful at the end, as there are enemies, so either kill them or avoid them and head inside the door way.

Drop all the way down into the tunnel below, and just follow it along until you get to the Hall of Wisdom. Thankfully this is a pretty easy place to find, without much running around involved.

When you get there, run deeper into the Hall until you reach the area with the Wizard, there will be a large bulwark jutting out of the ground, and you will find the Necromatic Strand there. It should generate a waypoint when you get fairly close to it, making it pretty easy to find the exact location.

Once you have it, you can finish up the rest of the Challenges and then go back to Eris to cleanse the essence and collect your new weapon!

Destiny 2 - Trove Guardian Guide

Destiny 2's Shadowkeep expansion launched yesterday, taking us all to the Moon for some lunar adventures. While exploring the patrol areas you may have come across an enemy called the Trove Guardian. These powerful yellowbar, or Major, enemies are tough to kill, but they do hide a secret that is revealed when they die.

Destiny 2 - Trove Guardian Guide

Trove Guardians are very tough to kill, so if you are new to the game you might want to have some friends along if you plan on fighting him below about 780 Power. They hit hard, and take a lot of damage, but are melee only so are pretty easy to kite. Once you have killed one, you will see a message appear on screen that says "The Trove Guardian has fallen, a new pathway has opened".

Now, search around the area you found the Trove Guardian in, and you should see a strange stone platform suddenly morph into existence. Jump onto the platform and run to the end of it, and another platform should spawn in ahead of you. Repeat this patter until you reach the end of the path way, and you will find a chest. Open the chest to get your hands on some loot.

I am unsure how many Trove Guardians are in the game at this moment, but I will add the location to the list below as I find more of them.

Trove Guardian 1 Location

Trove Guardian One Location

I will continue to update this guide with Trove Guardian locations as they are discovered.

Pokemon Go: New Price Listing Called "Ticket" Found At In-App Purchases On iTunesMisael DuranWed, 10/02/2019 - 16:44

A new price listing has been spotted on Pokémon Go at iTunes.

In Pokémon Go, players can use real world money to purchase PokéCoins. PokéCoins are in-game currencies that players can use to get more supplies like Poké Balls and potions. You can also use coins to buy customization for your gamer profile.

Joe Merrick from Serebii shared on Twitter that a new price listing has been found for the game on iTunes. The image that Merrick shares has a listing of all possible in-app purchases for Pokémon Go on iTunes. The list includes all the PokéCoins bundles that players can purchase, as well as special trainer boxes.

However the last thing on the list is completely new. Simple called the Ticket; it is listed at £7.99, which is around 10 dollars in the USA. Nothing is official, but according to Merrick the datamines for the game seemed to suggest that the Ticket may be related to a possible future special event that will be time sensitive.

Up till now, Pokémon Go hasn’t had any events locked behind a pay wall. While certain events required players to accomplish challenging conditions, they were always free to any player who is willing to put the time and effort. It is possible that this potential upcoming event that requires the Ticket to gain access may still be free, as long as players are able to reach the necessary requirements in-game. The Ticket listing on iTunes may simply be for players who are willing to use real-world money to skip the necessary conditions, and automatically get access to the event.

Merrick feels really conflicted on the possibility of players being able to purchase tickets for events. He feels that the Ticket will gate people out of playing the game, forcing people to use real-world money to keep up with everything in the game. With the recent controversy with the microtransactions in Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo’s mobile games have been pushing microtransactions in directions that most fans find unfavorably.

Pokémon Galar Jerseys Revealed, and It’s Time To Represent Your TeamRobert WorkmanWed, 10/02/2019 - 16:46

Remember when Pokémon GO first came out, and everyone was all talking about what teams they were on, but some players would forget because there were so many loyalties to go around? Well, it looks like there will be a way to represent that in the future.

Over on Twitter, Pokeshopper confirmed a number of new Pokémon center Galar Jerseys, featuring Grookey, Sobble and Scorbunny from the Pokémon universe.

All three jerseys are featured in the tweet below. As you can see, each one comes with a fine color, with Scorbunny defined in red colors; Grookey in mixed greens; and Sobble in a hue of blue. Each jersey also comes with the Pokémon name on the back, along with the official emblems on the sleeves.

The jerseys should be available over on the Pokémon Center page soon. Though it’s sold out, but you can read more about the Sobble edition here; the Scorbunny one is in stock and available here; and Grookey, though sold out, has a detailed page here. They appear to be going for $55 apiece, plus shipping. Hopefully, we’ll see the others in stock soon.

Hopefully this will be just the beginning for Pokémon related jerseys, and we’ll soon see ones with team representation. And, for that matter, there’s a golden opportunity here to feature new ones with Pokémon Sword and Shield set to release next month. Time to represent Sirfetch’d!

We’ll let you know once purchase details are available. In the meantime, start deciding which team you want to represent now. Many of you might choose Scorbunny, but you don’t want to leave Sobble out in the cold, do you? Do you?!

Destiny 2 - Ethereal Charms Location - Temple of Crota Location

For the Essence of Greed you will need to find the Ethereal Charms at the Temple of Crota. The Temple of Crota is one of the "off the map" locations on the Moon, so it can be awkward to find. In this guide we will show you a quick and easy route to it.

Destiny 2 - Ethereal Charms Location - Temple of Crota Location

For the Essence of Greed you will need to complete the following steps:

  • Complete Patrols, Public Events and Lost Sectors on the Moon.
  • Machine Gun Kills
  • Ethereal Charms found.

You can find the Ethereal Charms in the Temple of Crota. To get to the Temple of Crota, spawn in at Eris Morn and then head for the Anchor Of Light area. Just hope on your Sparrow and head right as you are facing Eris, then continue straight through the next crossroads and you will come to the Anchor of Light. You will be able to see a small pathway that leads away from the Anchor of Light.

Follow it to the end, but be careful of the enemies that are there. Head through the door, and just follow the path the whole way down until you come to a strange metal structure hanging at a dangerous  looking angle. Run through the center of it, then turn to the left and follow the steps down.

This will bring you to the Temple of Crota area. Run all the way to the back of the room where you will find the Ethereal Charms on a pile of debris close to the wall.

When you get close to them, a waypoint should appear on the screen, making them very easy to track down.

Overwatch Director: Nintendo Can Add Any of Our Characters To Super Smash Bros. UltimateRobert WorkmanWed, 10/02/2019 - 16:55

With Overwatch set to release on the Nintendo Switch in a couple of weeks, it seems that Blizzard’s relationship with the publisher is continuing to blossom. With that, the director of the game, Jeff Kaplan, is open to the idea of his beloved characters going over to their other franchises – namely, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Speaking with IGN, Kaplan confirmed that the company is free to add “whatever character” from Overwatch they like to the roster, though nothing has been confirmed just yet.

When asked who he wants to see Kaplan was open at first. "To the Smash Brothers team, whatever character you want, we love them all. They’re all our babies, you can have any single one of them. We have 31 to choose from,” he said.

But…if he had to choose just one, Kaplan seems open to the idea of Tracer. "Tracer's our girl, Tracer's our mascot. She'd be my first choice," he said. "There's a lot of great runners up. I think a lot of people can immediately see Doomfist gameplay applying to Smash, but if it were up to me, I'd like to see Tracer."

To add to that, Wes Yanagi, the game producer of the Switch version, echoed that Tracer would be a good choice. But he also wouldn’t mind seeing Winston make the cut. Now that’d be an interesting run-in, between him and Donkey Kong. Place your bets?

The Smash team hasn’t confirmed any of these yet. At the moment, the only official name coming to the game debuts next month, with Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard joining the party. But there’s still an open slot with the current season, with the promise of more DLC fighters sometime in 2020.

Overwatch arrives on October 15 for Nintendo Switch. It’s currently available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Does Ghost Recon Breakpoint Have Splitscreen?

Playing video games with your friends is what the experience is all about, and this rings true in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The enemies in this game are not going to take it easy on the players. If you want some of the best loot, you have to engage them, and they have an army. You're not going to find an easy pickup game here, so you need to play things out. If you want to take on the biggest challenges, you're going to need to do it with friends.

Does Ghost Recon Breakpoint have Splitscreen?

The game does have online play. You can jump into a game, invite your friends, and run around Auroa shooting all of the enemies, or set traps for them to pick up their loot when they fall. The game encourages you to play with your friends online and to jump with them into a game.

Unfortunately, if your friends want to jump into the game with you, they're going to need to purchase a copy for themselves. You cannot play the game on a local co-op or have a splitscreen feature going for a single game. For those hoping to play it side by side with a friend, you may want to create a Discord channel together, or find out which console the pair of you want to play it on because it's available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Uplay store.

Given how much information and what's going on with the screen, it makes sense. Players are going to need to concentrate and focus on the game heavily while they run through the title. There's not going to be too much room for a second player to experience the game from the same platform. However, the multiplayer aspect of the game is seamless. You can create a four-player group with your friends and experience the entire game together from start to finish. Groups are encouraged due to Breakpoint having the first raid available near the end of the game for players itching for some cooperative action.

Not too many modern shooting games feature splitscreen or local co-op anymore.

Pokemon Sword And Shield: Dynamaxing Is A Projection

Pokemon Sword And Shield: Dynamaxing Is A ProjectionMisael DuranWed, 10/02/2019 - 17:37

In recent interview by Game Informer, it may have been possibly revealed that Dynamaxing in Pokémon Sword and Shield may just be projections.

Earlier today, Game Informer released a video interview with Pokémon Sword and Shield's director Shigeru Ohmori and producer Junichi Masuda. The video is very lighthearted and a little tongue-in-cheek. Ben Hanson from Game Informer would ask a series of silly questions, which include asking personal questions like which Pokémon they would get rid of and if they are sports fans.

There wasn’t much of interview in terms of new information. Ohmori and Masuda would either reiterate things that have already been revealed, or say no comment. Despite that, the interview is a fun watch. You get more insight of Ohmori and Masuda as game developers, and everyone in the video seemed like they were having a good time. They would occasionally laugh at Hanson’s questions, and they will even laugh at some Ohmori’s and Masuda’s answers.

While the interview didn’t contain plenty of new information, there was one thing that Ohmori and Masuda revealed that wasn’t in the previous trailers for Sword and Shield. Joe Merrick pointed this out on his Twitter; according to Ohmori and Masuda, Dynamaxing are projections.

Dynamaxing, along with Gigantamax, are a new gameplay mechanic that will be introduced in Sword and Shield. They allow Pokémon to grow in giant size during battle. In the Game Informer interview, Ohmori and Masuda talk about how Dynamaxing works. Hanson asks if Pokémon physically become huge while Dynamaxing, or if it is just a projection. Ohmori says that Dynamaxing is a visual projection, and they are inside that projection.

This explanation has caused some confusion from fans on the internet. How can a projection cause harm if it is just a projection? It is possible the way the question was asked and how the subtitles chose to translate Ohmori’s response may have confused things, but Dynamaxing being projections may not actually be the most accurate description of what they are.

If they are projections, they are probably psychical projections, similar to how personas work in the Persona series. In the Persona franchise, protagonist can call in their personas to fight with them in battle. It is possible that Dynamaxing is when Pokémon summons a giant version of themselves, which is similar to a projection. They enter the giant version of themselves like a pilot enter a giant robot, and becomes one with the projection.

This speculation on my part though; until more clarification is revealed, all we know now is that Ohmori considers Dynamax a projection.

Mario Kart Tour Reaches 90 Million Downloads, Makes Over $12 MillionRobert WorkmanWed, 10/02/2019 - 22:17

Last week, we were talking about how Mario Kart Tour did extremely well for its first day of release. But after just under a week in release on the mobile front, it’s gone on to smash even more records. Like, every record.

Sensor Tower recently noted that the game has reached a phenomenal 90.1 million downloads since its release. That’s 15 million players a day over the past six days. That easily eclipses the previous record by Nintendo’s own Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, which reached 14.3 million in that time frame. And keep in mind this number only keeps track of certain markets – it could be even higher than that.

Mario Kart Tour

Not only that, but Mario Kart Tour has also made a ton of money for Nintendo in its first few days. It’s banked $12.7 million based on its microtransactions. Though this is lower than the $16.1 million that Super Mario Run made (and Fire Emblem Heroes’ $28.2 million), it’s still a notable success for the company.

Out of what platform players prefer for Tour, Android seems to be the most popular, with 53.5 million downloads compared to 36.5 million downloads on the iOS front. It’s a little lopsided there, but added together, it’s good news for Nintendo.

And the United States has the most downloads, with about under 15 percent of installs overall. It’s also the home for the most spending on the game, around $5.8 million (45 percent).

Can Mario Kart Tour keep up this kind of momentum? Based on content being added and other options, it’s a possibility. But we’ll have to wait and see.

Mario Kart Tour is available now for iOS and Android devices.
