New Pokémon's mysterious tail potentially teased in 24 hour Sword and Shield live streamRebekah McPhersonFri, 10/04/2019 - 09:58

Pokémon Sword and Shield currently has a stream going on that will last for 24 hours. Professor Magnolia's assistant Sonia has placed her Galar region camera into a new location called Glimwood Tangle. It might sound quiet and uneventful, but if you listen carefully, you can hear some Pokémon cries, whether new or old. This is a big game of hide and seek, and it will take a lot of analyzing to figure out who is new, who is coming back, and who won't be in Sword and Shield at the moment.

At the time of this article's release, Pikachu, Morelull, Shiinotic, Swirlix, and Phantump are confirmed to return from previous regions. Around 15 minutes into the stream, an entirely new Pokémon has appeared.

Pokemon Sword And Shield Mysterious Pokemon

If you zoom in around the middle of the image, you will see a light blue Pokémon appearing. It looks to be shaking its tail and then disappear after a few seconds of appearing. Twitch clips of the new Pokémon have been spreading on Twitter, The name is currently unknown, but its name will be revealed sometime in the future.

As of right now, there is nothing new confirmed. However, there will be more revealed in the live stream, so when you have some time to stop by, be prepared to encounter new and old Pokémon! Grab some popcorn and bring some friends over to witness new discoveries!

Who are you hoping to encounter for returning Pokémon? What kind of new Pokémon will you be expecting in the Galar region?

When Does The New Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Raid Release?

Destiny 2: New Light has been out for most of this week. There were some hiccups along the way, given Bungie released Shadowkeep on the same day and moved their product over to Steam. They had a handful of errors and several issues when it released, but it looks like things have calmed down. The servers are steadily up, and players have been zipping through the latest pieces of content. With players starting to get a stronger light level, they want to know when they can try their hand at the first raid.

When Does The New Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Raid Release?

While we don't know too many details about the Shadowkeep's raid, Garden of Salvation, we do know it's going to release on Oct. 5. Players won't have to wait too long to try their hand at taking down the several challenges awaiting them behind the tremendously terrifying gate. It's going to release on Oct. 5 at 10 am PST. When it goes live, players from all over the world are going to be rushing towards it to see if they can succeed in any way and make a dent in it to be the first to make to complete.

Do you think you're ready? Bungie believes players need to be at least light level 920 before they can enter it. Having played a handful of Bungie's raids, this level is going to be a decent mark, but you're going to want to aim higher. Realistically, you're going to want to try for light level 930 or 935 to keep your head above water. However, if your teammates are willing to go into it with you at 920, there's no stopping them.

What are the rewards for doing it? Well, Destiny 2 is all about loot. The latest raid is going to be another exclusive chance for players to get their hands on the new armor and weapons available in the game. Check out the respective armors for each class below.

Shadowkeep Raid Gear

At this time, beyond knowing the Vex are involved, and you can see the armor looks vaguely Vex-like, we don't know too much. When the gates open on Oct. 5 at 10 am PST, you can expect plenty of players are going to jump in and trying their hand at it. The race is going to go live then, and we'll find out who's going to be the first to complete it sometime soon. It could take the whole weekend.

Check out the trailer for the raid below, and good luck in Destiny 2's expansion, Shadowkeep, Guardians.

Red Dead Redemption II Confirmed For PC, Releasing On November 5Robert WorkmanFri, 10/04/2019 - 10:47

After striking gold on the console front last year with millions of copies sold, Red Dead Redemption II is finally ready to head into the Wild West of PC in just a matter of weeks.

Rockstar Games confirmed on its official page today that the sequel would make its way to PC starting on November 5. Pre-purchases for the game will open up starting on October 9, exclusively through the company’s Rockstar Games Launcher.

In addition, it’ll also be available for pre-order through the Epic Games store, Greenman Gaming, the Humble Store, GameStop and other retailers starting October 23. A Steam release will also follow, but won’t happen until sometime in December.

Red Dead Redemption II

This marks the first time Red Dead will see a release on the PC front, as the original never arrived on the platform. And Rockstar is going all out to give it the visual treatment it deserves, with a “range of graphical and technical enhancements for increased immersion along with new Bounty Hunter Missions, Gang Hideouts, Weapons and more.”

Red Dead Online will be a part of the package, with all of its updates already included. This means that Frontier Pursuits, along with a number of roles within the game, will be available right off the bat.

You may recall that Rockstar announced its Launcher last month, giving away Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. That promotion is still ongoing for anyone that downloads ut and orders the game by October 8. It’s a good way to get prepped for the onslaught of cowboy shoot-em-up action.

But you can actually get more with this promotion. For those that pre-purchase the game between October 8 and October 22 through the Launcher, there will be two additional games available for free. They include Andreas, along with Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Bully: Scholarship Edition, L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition and Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition. Otherwise, it'll be available on those other sales platforms soon enough.

A number of free in-game upgrades will also be available, including the following:

  • Outlaw Survival Kit for Story Mode
  • War Horse for Story Mode
  • Treasure Map for Story Mode
  • Cash Bonus for Story Mode
  • 50 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online

So for those that have always wanted to tame this masterpiece on PC, you’re about to get your chance!

Ghost Recon Breakpoint Servers Went Down Down for the MomentZack PalmFri, 10/04/2019 - 10:52

Update: Ubisoft has responded with a small comment regarding the issue. They are aware of it and are attempting to fix it. You can read their comment here.

Original Story:

It looks for the time being Ghost Recon Breakpoint's servers are down as of right now. Given that this is the day the game launched and players are jumping into it with excitement, it's going to make sense.

If you were expecting the servers to be perfect when the game launches, you might not have been around when Destiny 2 launcher earlier this week. For big, blockbuster games around this time of year, it's going to happen, and the development team is hard at work doing their best to resolve the situation.

It doesn't look like the development team has posted it on their Twitter page right now, but you can expect this to change as players reach out regarding it.

Those who have been playing Breakpoint all week, it may serve as an excellent break to try something else or figure the location of that one particular blueprint you've been looking for since you started.

Overall, Breakpoint has had a relatively quiet and comfortable to handle the game launch. The development team had a handful of errors pop-up when players tried to log in, but several of them were tied to players not having access to the Breakpoint game before it released. There were some issues on the matter regarding how the editions worked, and some players were not able to get into the game due to the Uplay subscription not working. The Ubisoft team has been hard at work, ensuring the launch went smoothly.

Most players are dealing with the SILENT-50001 error right now. We have a brief guide breaking down what it means.

If you're interested in checking out Breakpoint, make sure to check out our review of the game, which I wrote. I thought the game was excellent and I had a great time with it. I highly recommend it to anyone who can get a few friends together to coordinate online.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint launched today, and with the servers down, you can expect Ubisoft is jumping on it immediately to get things handled and taken care of before players riot.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: What Does the Silent-50001 Error Code Mean?

Are you getting the SILENT-50001 error code when you attempt to log into Ghost Recon Breakpoint? You're not the only one getting this code. At this time, plenty of players are getting this when they attempt to log into the game.

What Does the Silent-50001 Error Code Mean in Ghost Recon Breakpoint?

The SILENT-50001 error code means the servers are having issues processing all of the login attempts with the game. Right now, players from all over the world are attempting to jump into the game at the same time. While Ubisoft has had the game out for the better part of the week, it doesn't mean the servers were ready to handle this many requests. If you see this error code, chances are you're among the large majority of players attempting to log in, and your request to get in on the servers is getting blocked.

At this time, there's no clear solution to this issue. The issue is on Ubisoft's side, so there's little to nothing you can do about fixing it. The best thing all players can do is reach out to Ubisoft's support team and let them know about the issue. Chances are you're not going to be the only person hitting them up about the problem, but it's a good thing for them to know, and they're going to want details about it. Unfortunately, it's a waiting game at this point, and players are going to need to remain patient while the Ubisoft team attempts to get everything together.

The servers are likely going to be down for part of the morning while the Ubisoft team attempts to get their issues taken care of. You should make sure to follow their official Breakpoint Twitter page to hear more about when the issues are going to get resolved and if they have any updates for their player base.

Check out our review while you're waiting and see what we had to say about Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

Wendy's Debuts Its Own Tabletop RPG, Feast of LegendsRobert WorkmanFri, 10/04/2019 - 11:05

Hot on the heels of Kentucky Fried Chicken releasing a free Steam game where you can attempt to seduce a young Colonel Sanders, Wendy’s has decided to try its hand at gaming. But this time, it’s a tabletop role-playing game where beef is the name of the game.

The restaurant chain has launched Feast of Legends, a free downloadable adventure where you attempt to “rise from the deep freeze.” The game is available here and looks to be a real treat – even if you don’t like hamburgers for some reason.

“The nation of Freshtovia has been the lone beacon of hope in the land of Beef’s Keep for decades,” the description reads. “However, the Ice Jester and his rogues gallery of frozen fiends threaten Queen Wendy’s reign of prosperity. Prepare your heroes for adventure.”

The page breaks down details for those that may be newcomers. “Using the book, you can create a character and choose every aspect of who they are. The players will interact with the story that one person, your Game Master, leads you through.

“This is a game where you become the character you create and act out the adventure. Get your friends together, and that one guy from work that will explain the intimate details of every graphic novel he reads, and dive into the game!”

Once again, it’s on the house, and probably an ideal game to dig into when you’ve got those delicious Spicy Nuggets on hand. Oh, and there’s one point where you can fight against Ronald McDonald! (Well, okay, not actually Ronald McDonald, but a fantasy-themed lookalike.)

Roll the dice and enjoy the game today!

Resident Evil's Leon And Claire Join Monster Hunter World: Iceborne In NovemberMisael DuranFri, 10/04/2019 - 11:35

Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield from the Resident Evil II Remake become new skins in Monster Hunter: World - Iceborne.

Monster Hunter is an action-adventure, video game franchise centered on players hunting and killing rare mythical animals in a fantastical land. The most recent entry in the series, Monster Hunter: World, released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows in Jan. 2018. The game received positive reviews from critics. Last September, World released a new expansion called Iceborne.

Today on the Monster Hunter Twitter account, a new video was released. The footage revealed original skins based on Resident Evil are coming to the game. The skins are Leon and Claire from the Resident Evil II Remake.

The video also showed there a new gathering hub based on Resident Evil, specifically the Spencer Mansion from the first Resident Evil game. Zombie-based enemies are also coming to the game; in the video, they haunt the new mansion area.

There is a scene in the video showing the zombies being playable, as a group of zombies is shown attacking a monster using the standard Monster Hunter tools. It is unknown if this means they will also be skins, or if this will be a new game mode. Later in the video, they are shown dancing, which is possibly a reference to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Mr. X, one of the primary antagonists from the Resident Evil II Remake, will also be a skin.

Probably the most shocking news is of a tofu-based weapon coming with the Resident Evil update in Iceborne. The tofu is a reference to the fact that you can play as giant tofu in the extra features in Resident Evil II.

We don't know if the Resident Evil content is coming as a free update or paid DLC. The video ends slating that the content will be available in Monster Hunter: World - Iceborne in November.

New Ghost Horse Pokémon teased in 24-hour Pokémon Sword Shield Live StreamZack PalmFri, 10/04/2019 - 11:52

A new Pokémon got spotted during the 24-hour live stream event going on right now. You can check out right now. Nintendo attempts to get a wildlife-like program going showing off old, and new, Pokémon from the upcoming Galar region.

The Horse-like Pokémon galloped across the screen for a few seconds. If you check out the picture above, you can briefly catch part of its body hidden behind the bushes. It looks like a ghost pegasus with a wavey, spooky hair trailing along its body.

The perfect Pokémon to get shown during this time of the year, given we're in October, and we're getting closer to Halloween, which hints at the background we see here with the dozens of mushrooms and eerie forest.

We've already seen other a few other Pokémon today pop up across the screen. You can expect to see more as the day goes by with Nintendo wanting to get people pumped up for the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Make sure you're checking out the stream throughout the day, catching any new and rare Pokémon are going to trail through the camera. Hopefully, we get new moments like these with GameFreak to get new locations, such as the new areas in the new Galar region.

At this time, we do not know the name or the Pokémon-type of this ghost horse creature, but we're going to learn more details in the future. We might not know further details until the developers are ready to disclose them. For now, they're going to keep their secrets, and we're going to wait to hear the answer eagerly.

Destiny 2 - What To Do With Small Rice Cakes

Destiny 2's secrets and unusual activities don't always make sense, but I am not sure a game about a fearless circle and evil triangles really can make sense. While you have been exploring the Moon in the new Shadowkeep expansion, you may have come across some Small Rice Cakes. I don't know what they are doing on the Moon, but you can find them there. In this guide, we will show you what to do with them.

Destiny 2 - What To Do With Small Rice Cakes

Destiny 2 Jade Rabbits

You may notice some small rabbits hidden around the moon as well. If you are curious as to what they look like, you can find one directly under Eris Morn. Dropdown onto the platform that she is facing, and head in the door. If you give those statues a Small Rice Cake, you will get some Phantasmal Fragments in return, and there is almost certainly some secret behind giving each one a Small Rice Cake.

If you walk up to them without the Small Rice Cake, you will get a message telling you you lack something. If you have one in your inventory, you will be able to interact with the Jade Rabbit and give it the lunar treat.

You can use Phantasmal Fragments at the Lectern of Enchantment to give yourself another shot at getting some beautiful armor, or those sweet Moon weapons with different roles.

We don't know yet how many of them you can get in a week, but you more than likely won't be having them falling out of your Inventory, that is not the Destiny 2 way. I would expect them to be quite rare. So there you go, Guardian, now you know what to do with the Small Rice Cakes in Destiny 2.

Where Is Xur Today, And What Is He Selling In Destiny 2? - October 4, 2019

Xur shows up in Destiny 2 every Friday. He does this to try and sell us the latest Exotic wares he has found in the void, and also to remind us that he only works on weekends. What he does during the week, nobody knows, but we assume it involves trying to figure out what he should try to sell us the following week.

Xur no longer gets a map icon in the game, so it is up to us to hunt him down and find out where he is. To save you time, this guide will tell you where he is hiding and what he is selling, so you can decide if you want to part with some of your Legendary Shards or not.

Where Is Xur

This week you can find Xur on Nessus, chilling on the Imperial Barge at the Watcher's Grave.

What Is Xur Selling

This week Xur is selling the following Exotic items. As always, he is selling one Exotic weapon and a piece of Exotic armor for each class.

This week Xur is selling the following items:

  • The Wardcliff Coil - Exotic Rocket Launcher
  • ACD/0 Feedback Fence - Titan Gauntlets
  • Nezarec's Sin - Warlock Helmet
  • The Sixth Coyote - Hunter Chest Armor

What Should You Buy From Xur This Week

Dammit, Xur! It's the first week of Shadowkeep, and the man is bringing these old items as if we should be impressed! It's not all bad news though, especially if you are new to the game.

The Wardcliff Coil is a super Rocket Launcher and is not a bad weapon to get from Xur under any circumstances. It takes a little getting used to, but once you figure it out you will melt enemies with ease. If you are new to the game you probably want to pick up your class armor piece as well.

For everyone else, it's Armor 2.0, so there are no roles to talk about, so it might be a good idea to replace your old items unless they have particular strong perks, and you don't have any decent Mods at the moment.

So there you go, Guardian. I hope you are all enjoying Shadowkeep.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: Server Status is Back OnlineZack PalmFri, 10/04/2019 - 13:24

The Ghost Recon Breakpoint servers are back online as of this writing. You can jump into the game right now and catch up on what you've been missing out on. They were previously down, and players were encountering the critical error of Silent-50001. The error code essentially meant the servers were struggling to support the numerous attempts of players wanting to jump into the game.

What was the Silent-50001 code? Check it out over here, where we describe what it meant and how the developers were dealing with the situation. Don't be surprised if you encounter this error a few more times over the weekend. Unfortunately, despite the strength of the servers, players are likely going to break a few things while they're playing the game.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint officially launches today. However, players who were interested in jumping in on the game had the chance to purchase the Gold, Ultimate, Collector's edition, or to jump on Ubisoft's Uplay subscription service to gain access to the game.

Despite providing multiple ways of players to leap into the game a few days early, the servers were still no match for the popular title. Regardless, the Ubisoft team was ready, and they handled the problem within a few hours. Players who were at work are likely going to jump into the game later tonight without too much issue.

I had a great time while I play Breakpoint. While I see it as an excellent multiplayer game, it's a substantial, fun single-player experience with plenty to do. You're going to get a little overwhelming, but you're going to stick around for the game in the long run. Check out the full review here.

Hopefully, the servers remain stable for the remainder of the day. But no one should act surprised if they go down again. Breakpoint is a stable notch in the Ghost Recon franchise.

Pokemon Go: Should You Choose Vileplume or Bellossom?

Pokemon Go: Should You Choose Vileplume or Bellossom?

The latest shiny Pokemon to come to Pokemon Go is Oddish. Players are going to be running around for the better part of a week, adding this new Pokemon to their collection. While it's a big swing towards their next roster pick, players are also curious about how they should evolve Oddish and what route they should take them. They have a choice between Vileplume and Bellossom, and both are excellent choices.

Should You Choose Vileplume or Bellossom in Pokemon Go?

Vileplume

Vileplume is the classic Oddish evolution. It first showed up during the first generation. In Pokemon Go, you're going to find this creature has a maximum attack power of 202, with a defense of 167. Its overall stamina can reach 181, with a Max CP of 2559. It's a Grass and Poison-type, meaning it's going to rely on having resistances against poison to give it a one-up boost from Bellossom, which is purely a Grass-type.

The best moves you're going to find for this creature are the Razor Leaf and Sludge Bomb moves. Overall, it's going to have a higher attack, but lower defense. It's also significantly larger.

Bellossom

When generation two came out, trainers had to option to evolve their Gloom into a Bellossom, a prettier Grass-type Pokemon than the flower-headed Vileplume. In Pokemon Go, you need to know this Pokemon's maximum attack reaches 169, has a defense of 186, and stamina of 181. It can reach a maximum CP of 2281. It's a pure Grass-type, meaning it's going to take more damage from poison attacks, unlike Vileplume.

Despite being a pure Grass-type, Bellossom can learn Acid, which is useful. It can also learn Leaf Blade, which is one of its better moves. Overall, it has a higher defense than Vileplume, with a lower attack and overall CP. When Bellossom is in Sunny weather, it's going to a receive a boost

Which Do You Choose?

Overall, more trainers are likely going to choose Bellossom over Vileplume. While Vileplume may have a higher attack, Bellossom's potential movesets are going to benefit it the most. You can get it to learn Acid, Leaf Blade, Razor Leaf, Petal Blizzard, or Dazzling Gleam. Depending on what you're going for, you can choose how to best mix and match these choices. Some of the better ones damage-wise are going to Acid with Leaf Blade, and Razor Leaf with Leaf Blade.

You can always choose to go both, though, if you catch two shiny Oddish in Pokemon Go. You may want to select Bellossom for your first choice, especially if you're starting to run out of room in your backpack.

Humble Bundle Offering Spyro, Crash Bandicoot and Call of Duty In Its Latest Monthly BundleRobert WorkmanFri, 10/04/2019 - 15:12

Usually, Humble Bundle’s subscription-based Humble Monthly package has some good games to its credit. But this month is downright phenomenal, especially for fans of Activision’s games.

For the latest Humble Monthly, the company has three different AAA hits up for grabs – including a game that just came out! Spyro Reignited Trilogy is in it, complete with all three remastered games in HD glory. And considering it released over the summer, the fact you can get it at this price is ridiculous.

That’s not all, though. The $12 bundle includes Call of Duty: WWII, without its respective DLC. But there’s still a lot to discover with this first-person shooter, which is a fine piece of work.

And if Spyro doesn’t offer up enough nostalgia, it also includes Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and the three games in it. That gives you a total of seven games in a bundle, all of which are playable today. Several other “mystery games” are set to be added as of Nov. 1 as well, with at least four open slots.

The bundle is redeemable through Steam and can be purchased here. It’s only $12, which is a fantastic deal considering what all you’re getting. And you still have time to sign up – the sale expires on Nov. 1. Spyro is worth it alone, but Spyro, Crash, and a reputable Call of Duty game? That’s nuts.

Check out more details here!

Stern Pinball's Star Wars Table Getting Beautiful Comic Book RedesignRobert WorkmanFri, 10/04/2019 - 15:21

The team at Stern Pinball has been on a roll lately with its pinball designs, but one standout is Star Wars. It pays homage to the film trilogy that started it all for the franchise. And now, just in time for New York Comic-Con, Stern has a new redesign of the table, using classic comic book art.

Put together by Randy Martinez, who’s worked on several cartoons and Star Wars Kids Magazine over the years. He provided vital art for the table, which you can view in the images below. As fans can see, this includes both a neat new backglass design, along with a redesigned table and side art layouts.

Star Wars Pinball

“Fans of both pinball and Star Wars will be impressed by this hand-drawn comic artwork.  It is stunning and captures everything a true Star Wars fan could ever want in their pinball machine,” said Gary Stern, Chairman, and CEO of Stern Pinball, Inc.

The game still includes the same table design as the original game, but this is something put together with comic devotees in mind. And it does provide a neat little flair for the game, though some may prefer the classic Star Wars live-action set-up. No matter which way you go, this is a fun pinball to play either at home or in your local arcade.

Star Wars Pinball

There are both Pro and Premium tables available for purchase, starting at $7,599. Sure, they may not be cheap, but to Star Wars fans, they’re just the, ahem, Force they need for their game room.

Learn more about the pinball, and where to order it, on the official Stern Pinball page.

Ponyta's cry heard in Pokémon Sword Shield 24 hour livestream, likely pointing towards Galarian PonytaMisael DuranFri, 10/04/2019 - 15:27

The Pokémon Company launched a live stream for the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield early this morning, starting at 6:30am Pacific time. Despite the stream already going for 6 hours long at this point, not much new information has come out. The stream has focused on a single location of the same image with rarely any Pokémon coming into view of the camera.

Most of the Pokémon shown on the live stream had brief appearances; they come and go in a blink of an eye. However, most of the Pokémon shown in the live stream are not new and are Pokémon we've already seen in the game. One of the exceptions is Impidimp, but that Pokémon got spotted in a demo of the game in an earlier event.

With that said, a new ghostly horse figure showed up in the bushes on the right. At first, it was difficult to determine what kind of Pokémon it was. We reported about this Pokemon in this piece here, but now there appears to be new evidence suggesting it may be a Galarian Ponyta.

Our own Adam Newell pointed out how the image of the horse Pokémon seems to have similar features to that of a typical Ponyta. He pointed out the eyes and ears of a Ponyta on the mysterious horse Pokémon.

Galarian Horse

For those that don't know, Ponyta is the fire horse Pokémon. It is essentially an average horse, on fire. We initially didn't realize this was Ponyta because of its different colors. When Adam figured out how similar the two Pokémon look like, it makes so much sense.

Recently on the stream, the cries of Ponyta were heard, as well as galloping noises.

Twitter user, The Ruin Maniac Files, was able to make a gif of the mysterious horse Pokémon galloping on-screen during its brief moment on the live stream. The gif makes it more apparent that the strange horse looks just like Ponyta.

If it is a Ponyta, it is most likely a Galarian form of Ponyta. It will probably have a different typing, though the question is, what kind of typing? We at Gamepur think it could either be electric type. The live stream has had several bright flashes on the screen, or a ghost type since it looks pretty ghastly.

The Pokémon Sword and Shield live stream continues; if you want to check it out, head over to the Official Pokémon Twitch or YouTube accounts.

Pokemon Go: Raid Bosses for October 2019

Pokemon Go is going several raid bosses for October. Trainers can expect to encounter several powerful Pokemon this month, and they're going to have the opportunity to face them down and potentially catch them. Even if the trainers can't catch them, there are still plenty of rewards in store for those everyone who participate in the fun. You better bring in your best Pokemon because Niantic is not going to easy on any trainer who hops into the ring.

Pokemon Go Raid Bosses for October 2019

What is a Pokemon Go Raid? These are special events that happen in Pokemon Go gyms. You're going to know when a raid is about to happen when an egg appears on the gym. Trainers who want to participate are going to need to be level five, at least. After that, they're going to need stronger Pokemon to take on these creatures because any Pokemon who shows up as a raid boss is significantly stronger than their traditional type.

If you're interested in getting involved in the raids, you're going to need a Raid Pass and a premier ball to capture the Pokemon. You can get a Raid Pass by going to Gyms and spinning the icon. You're going to receive one, and trainers can only hold one raid pass at a time. All trainers who participate in a raid are going to receive a premier ball. The number of premier balls a trainer can carry varies on how well you did during the raid and if your Pokemon Go faction controlled the gym before it became a raid. Here's the effective break down for premier balls:

  • Did your faction control the gym before it popped? Get two.
  • Did you raid with friends? You're going to get one to four premier balls.
  • Receive five after beating the Pokemon Go Raid boss
  • Receive up to three based on how much damage you did to the Raid boss

Stay involved as much as you can during the event, and make sure you bring your friends. Unfortunately, the faction control is up in the air, but if you and your friends regularly patrol your immediate area to protect their gyms, one of these is likely going to pop up with a raid boss.

There are five different tiers of Pokemon Go Raid bosses. With five different tiers, here are the Pokemon you can potentially encounter this month:

Tier 1

  • Drifloon: CP 791 to 855
  • Klink: 628 to 684
  • Patrat: CP 515 to 565
  • Shinx: CP 572 to 625

Tier 2

  • Alolan Exeggutor: CP 2,055 to 2,153
  • Mawile: CP 1,096 to 1,167
  • Misdreavus: CP 1,296 to 1,376
  • Sableye: CP 986 to 1,054
  • Sneasel: CP 1,384 to 1,465

Tier 3

  • Alolan Raichu: 1,548 to 1,633
  • Gengar: CP 1,958 to 2,055
  • Granbull: CP 1,732 to 1,823
  • Machamp: CP 2,084 to 2,183
  • Piloswine: CP 1,589 to 1,675

Tier 4

  • Absol: CP 1,712 to 1,805
  • Alolan Marowak: CP 1,235 to 1,311
  • Dragonite: CP 2,599 to 2,709
  • Houndoom: CP 1,790 - 1,882
  • Togetic: CP 1,147 to 1,220

Tier 5

  • Deoxys (Speed Forme): 1,960 to 2,056
  • Giratina (Altred Forme): CP 2,310 to 2,414

Of the group, tier five is among the hardest to fight. All of them are going to require a group, especially if you're closer to their level. You have the chance to encounter the selected tiers throughout the month. However, tier five have select times, which are going to vary. There's a dedicated time every Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm your local time where raids are going to be happening far more frequently. We wrote about this previously in the week.

If you want to get into the raids and have a couple of friends eager to join you, make sure you get them ready every Wednesday at these set times. You have the opportunity to get the drop on these powerful enemies, but make sure you're running around and prepared to face them. None of them are going to make it easy for you.

Pokemon Go: How to Fight Giratina and Its Weaknesses

The big raid boss coming to Pokemon Go this month is Giratina (Altered Forme), and trainers are going to need to bring their best Pokemon to face it. It's a massive creature, intent on taking you and your team down. You're going to need to team up with friends to take down this legendary Pokemon, so get ready to bring your A-game. While you can fight it with your strongest Pokemon, you want to make sure you're bringing in the best choices. Here's what you need to know about Giratina.

Giratina Weaknesses and How to Fight it in Pokemon Go

Giratina is a giant ghost and Dragon-type Pokemon. You're going to want to bring a dark, dragon, fairy, ghost, or ice-type Pokemon with you into the fray. Given the specifics of this Pokemon, you might be hard-pressed to find a full roster of these types. You're not able to use the traditional fire, water, grass, or air types. These are generally the easiest to find, whereas the particular types require events or getting lucky with a specific Pokemon egg you hatched.

Regardless, it's better to have this knowledge than not know what you're going into in the first place. What are your choices for each type?

Dark

  • Absol
  • Houndoom
  • Tyrantiar
  • Umbreon
  • Sneasel
  • Shiftry
  • Cacturne
  • Sharpedo
  • Crawdaunt

Dragon

  • Rayquaza
  • Latios
  • Dragonite
  • Salamence
  • Latias
  • Flygon
  • Kingdra
  • Shelgon
  • Altaria

Fairy

  • Gardevoir
  • Granbull
  • Clefable

Ghost

  • Gengar
  • Banette
  • Misdraevus
  • Dusclops

Ice

  • Regice
  • Articuno
  • Walrein
  • Lapras
  • Jynx
  • Cloyster
  • Piloswine
  • Glalie
  • Sneasel

These are not your only choices for all of the types. But you're going to want to pick from these candidates. These are among the strongest in their type categories, so if you have any of them, make sure they're in line your line up to fight Giratina. Ghost and Fairy-types are going to be the most difficult to come by for your roster. Genger is undoubtedly a solid choice, and Gardevoir is another one, especially since they had a Ralts event quite recently. Several trainers are likely going to have a Gardevoir in their roster. You have plenty of time to train them up and make them stronger before bringing them out.

Ice, Dark, and Dragon-types are likely your best option. Unfortunately, the dragons might be the most difficult to locate, since many of them are limited to legendary events or are difficult to come. The Dark and Ice are likely going to be the most frequently used, so boost your roster with these options to get ready for the fight.

If you're out of luck and have none of these options, don't get discouraged. These raids are all about working with teammates to take down a big boss. Talk to your friends and let them know how else they can best help. They might even have a couple of spare Pokemon they can work with you to use to make your team even more useful. Talking with your teammates is better than choosing to sit out in general.

Six different Ex Pokemon Go raid times are happening in October. You have two more chances to catch Giratina this month, on Oct. 9 and the 16. They're going to happen from 6 pm to 7 pm during your local time, so make sure to get off work as quickly as you can, eat some food, and jump outside with your friends to start raiding. Giratina is not going to wait for you forever.

New Goat-Like Pokemon Spotted At Pokemon Sword And Shield LivestreamMisael DuranFri, 10/04/2019 - 17:04

At 6:30 a.m., the Pokémon Company launched a livestream for the upcoming Sword and Shield video games. The livestream will be a full 24-hours stream that’ll last until 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. The livestream is in-game footage of a specific area in the Galar region, the brand new Pokémon region.

For the most part, the livestream has been stuck on one location. It is a forest area with plenty of big mushrooms, but hardly any Pokémon walk by. Any Pokémon that does walk by are only on screen for a brief second, and most of the Pokémon that walk are not even new Pokémon. Not much is revealed for the most of the stream, other than the fact that there was horse Pokémon that is probably a Galarian form of Ponyta.

At around 2 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, a brand new Pokémon was spotted in the background. However before we could get a better look at the Pokémon, an Impidimp walked in and covered the Pokémon.

This new Pokémon was walking in the distance, and before we could get a full view of it, the Impidimp walked up to the camera and blocked our view. We only get a good look of its head, and what looks like its tail in the back. It has goat-like features; it has something on its head that could be some short of horns.

There isn’t a lot of information on this Pokémon other than what we saw. We can’t tell what type it is, or really what animal it is supposed to be based on.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint: Can you Holster Weapons?

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is here. You can start playing it right now, and some of you may have been playing it for the majority of the week right now. There's plenty to do in the game. Some of it can feel overwhelming, but once you get your feet and you dive into the game, you're going to have a blast fighting the Wolves and taking back Auroa island.

However, not every person on the island is out to get you. When you approach NPCs, you may want to put your weapons away to show you're not hostile. But can you put your weapons away?

Can You Holster Your Weapon in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Unfortunately, players are not going to be able to holster their character's weapons while they're running around Auroa. Your weapons are always going to be out and in your hands. The one time you can put them down is when using an item from your quick access inventory, such as a grenade, mine, or to heal yourself. Other than that, your character is going to be holding one of their three weapons in their arms.

Previously, players could holster their weapon in Wildlands. When they did so, the locals activated positively to this reaction. Additionally, it gave players a wider field of view to look around the area they were in and take in the surroundings. It was an excellent way to take a look around the gorgeous views, or sneak up on an enemy and get a better view of what was around them.

This feature may have gotten removed due to the hostile nature of Auroa. Almost everyone on the island is out to take the players down, except for a handful of civilians still operating out of necessary Skrell facilities or centers.

If you were hoping to gain some influence with the locals, this is not going to happen. You can talk to NPCs you find in the world because some of them have critical information to share with you. However, you can only speak to them out of combat. If you're in a fight, take out any enemies and then return to them when you're finished.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is out right now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC.
