Luigi Is Coming To Mario Kart Tour; Halloween Tour Also AnnouncedMisael DuranSat, 10/19/2019 - 01:16

Everyone’s second favorite Mario brother is finally making his way to Mario Kart Tour. Luigi and his death stare are coming to the mobile Mario Kart game.

Mario Kart Tour is a mobile game that is a part of the Mario Kart franchise. The franchise is a racing game series that primarily stars the cast of the Mario game. Tour received much criticism since launch, especially for how much it price certain things in the game.

One of the oddest things about Tour is the fact Luigi was not part of the playable racers. Luigi is arguably the second most iconic character in the Mario franchise, and we even point out his absence in this piece right here.

Related: Mario Kart Tour Microtransactions Explained

Luigi has been featured in the advertising, yet he was nowhere to be found. Some fans speculated that Nintendo was withholding him until Halloween as a cross-promotion with the upcoming Luigi Mansion 3 game.

It turns out that theory wasn’t far off. Today on the official Mario Kart Twitter account, it was announced that the game will be having a special Halloween tour that will begin on Oct. 22, and end on Nov. 5. The picture shows the mansion from the original Luigi Mansion game.

Not long after they announced the Halloween tour, the Twitter account also tweeted out that Luigi is finally in the game. The tweet doesn’t directly state that Luigi and the Halloween tour are connected, though it does seem likely that is the case. Fittingly the Tweet used a photo of Luigi with his iconic death stare; the death stare is an intense facial expression of Luigi that became a viral meme.

The Tweet said that Luigi lost his keys, and then got lost, which explains his initial absence. It’s currently unknown if Luigi is available at this moment, or if there will be an update coming very soon that will add him in the game.

Warframe's Super Hungry Grendel Gets A Profile Trailer, Will Arrive In The Old Blood UpdateAidan O'BrienSat, 10/19/2019 - 05:30

Grendel will be arriving in Warframe with the upcoming The New Blood update. Due for release over the next few weeks, but without a specific release date yet, Grendel likes to devour his enemies, and can even spit them back up for added benefits.

Each consumed enemy gives Grendel bonus armor, while his Feast ability allows him to devour enemies whole and store them in his rotund stomach. It costs energy to keep them there, but they can all be vomited back out, covered in toxic bile. Nourish allows you to fully consume them, giving a radial buff to you and your allies, while Regurgitate will expel an enemy at high velocity, turning them into a toxic projectile. Finally, Pulverize will see Grendel turn into a ball, smashing through enemies with ease.

Grendel won't be the only thing arriving in The Old Blood. Vauban and Ember are both getting reworks; the dreaded Kuva Lich enemy will be unleashed into the game. Kuva Lich is an immortal enemy; when you strike them down, they rise back up again, growing in power and influence through the system.

We will also be getting the Phase 2 melee changes, expanding on the first stage of Melee 2.0. This includes changes to heavy attacks, mid-air strikes, combos, and a full rebalance for melee weapons! The Old Blood looks like yet another stacked update to the game, setting the groundwork for upcoming expansion that will hopefully arrive before the end of the year.

Warframe's Melee Rework Phase 2 Dev Workshop Is A Must Read For All TennoAidan O'BrienSat, 10/19/2019 - 05:49

Huge changes are coming to Warframe's melee system, as Phase 2 of the melee rework will arrive with The Old Blood update. Phase 1 can be viewed as just a minor rework in light of all the changes that are coming in Phase 2. To help ease us all into it, Digital Extremes have posted a detailed Dev Workshop to the official forums for us to read.

There are definitely a few highlights of the rework that I want to run through here, but you should certainly read the full post over on the forums. First up, manual blocking is back! I'm very happy about this one, and I am sure a lot of other players will be too. You can once again manually equip a weapon, and manually block with it, giving you full control of your defensive actions again. Blocking will now stop 100% of incoming damage, but all weapons will have a blocking angle that provides different degrees of coverage.

We are also getting dodge canceling, allowing up to break melee combos with a dodge roll, another thing I am really looking forward to. Dodges during combos won't be full dodges, but will instead be shorter, tactical dodges, so as not to break up the flow of combat. Stances and Combos are also getting reworked, in an effort to make them much smoother.

Channeling is out, replaced with Heavy Attacks instead, which means a full mod rework for anything that used to give Channeling stats. There will also be a complete rework to all melee weapons within the game, stats wise, so your old favorites that have fallen by the wayside might just become your new favorites again.

Mastery Rank, base damage, and base range will all be getting juggled, for all weapons. Mastery Rank to make sure that all weapons properly fall in line with the power spikes a player will need for the Star Map and progression, while base range and damage will basically be buffed for everything.

I could keep going, but needless to say these are substantial changes that are coming, and they will take some getting used to when they arrive! I strongly advise you read through the full Dev Workshop for all the details. The Old Blood update does not have a release date just yet, but we will keep you updated when we learn more!

Fortnite Chapter 2 - All Upgrade Bench Locations

Upgrade Benches are a new addition to Fortnite Chapter 2. These useful benches will allow you to upgrade your weapons to the next tier, as long as you have the resources to do it. The benches will let you exchange wood, stone, and metal building materials for upgrading your weapon. As long as you have enough materials, you can bump any weapon you are carrying up a tier, giving you a better chance of winning your next gunfight.

Fortnite Chapter 2 - All Upgrade Bench Locations

Upgrade Bench Locations

The above map shows all the Upgrade Bench locations that have been discovered on the map so far, although we will add any new ones that are found or added in the future. The Upgrade Benches tend to appear inside buildings like sheds, workshops, and industrial buildings rather than residential ones.

When you find one, walk up to it, and it will give you the option to upgrade the gun you are holding at the time. It will display the materials cost to upgrade it to the next Tier, and if you don't have all the materials you need, you will not be able to upgrade your weapon at all.

How many materials it costs will depend on the rarity that you are upgrading to. For example, to get from a grey to green will cost 50 of each material. To get from green to blue, you will need 150 of each material. This means you can drop in on the map, grab a weapon, the farm materials, and potentially work your way to a purple rarity weapon without much issue, then focus more on traveling around the map and getting into those gunfights.

I'm inquisitive to see what new tactics people develop now that there are so many Upgrade Bench locations dotted around the map!

Fortnite Chapter 2 - The Best Place To Search Seven Ammo Crates In One Game

Fortnite Chapter 2 is filled with all kinds of challenges, some of them a little easier than others. While searching seven ammo crates in a single match doesn't seem too hard, it really is all about finding the right place to search for them. Land in the right spot, and this one will be finished up in no time at all.

Fortnite Chapter 2 - The Best Place To Search Seven Ammo Crates In One Game

Named Locations In Fortnite

The best place to head for to do this challenge quickly is Sweaty Shores. You can see it on the map above, located in a bay to the north west. As you drop in, you should notice a very tall apartment building on the east side of the town.

Sweaty Sands Apartment Building

Land on the roof, then grab whatever loot is up there, and work your way down, apartment by apartment. This building is absolutely stacked with ammo crates, and you should be able to wrap it up before you reach the ground floor. It also doesn't seem to be a very busy area, so you should have plenty of peace while you try to grab them all.

If you reach the bottom, and there were not enough ammo crates, or you missed some, just check the surrounding buildings. They all contain some ammo crates, and you will have this challenge wrapped up just a couple of minutes after landing. If you do run into any enemies, there are plenty of spots to hide in, if you want to just let them pass and focus on the challenge. You can, of course, just take them out, then go back to hunting the ammo crates.

And there you go, an easy location to finish up the "search seven ammo crates in one match" quickly, and easily! Best of luck with the rest of your challenges! If you need some help, we have plenty of guides, like how to find the Hidden O, and how to hide inside of hideouts, to help you with those challenges as well.

Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 2

Fortnite: Battle Royale's has entered Chapter 2, which means a whole new map, new locations, and new potential drop locations for you to choose from. Where and when you drop is pretty important in Fortnite, but first you need to decide if you want to farm, or fight. Different locations will offer different things, with some popular spots getting your straight into the fight. You might prefer to land somewhere quiet, farm up, use an upgrade bench to get your weapons into good shape, then set out towards the next circle.

We've got some tips on where to land for the best loot, the most action, and even if you want to avoid an early game confrontation.

Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 2

Fortnite Locations

Slurpy Swamp

This is a solid place to land, but it is growing more popular by the day, so seems to be turning into a place to go if you want to start fighting early in the game. Plenty of weapons and shields are up for grabs, and there are lots of upgrade benches dotted around the area as well, with one located right in the middle of the factory.

Sweaty Sands

Sweaty Sands has plenty of buildings, so lots of chances at loot. There is also a boat to be found here, and the river in the bay will give you easy access to the rest of the map.

Craggy Cliffs

This will be a great spot for a quiet start to the game when there are no challenges located here. Decent chances for loot if you are the only person around, an upgrade bench to get the weapons you find up a tier or two, and a boat down near the water make it a good spot to farm up, then head for the hot spot.

Lazy Lake

Head if you pretty want to ensure you get in early fights. It seems to be a popular spot, with lots of loot potential if you get there early. It is raised up and surrounded by hills, so expect a lot of elevated fighting to go down if you do drop here.

Misty Meadows

Good loot potential, lots of wood, and boats, this is another place that will probably offer you a quiet farm before heading to a busier spot.

Frenzy Farms

Every time I have gone here it has been a death zone, so definitely thread carefully. Good loot and a lot of sneaky places to hide have made this landing spot a complete roll of the dice when it comes to making it out alive.

Retail Row

If you are willing to bet it all on winning early guns fights, Retail Row offers great loot potential, but you will have to fight for it. Popularity might drop off over time, as I think many people drop here due to it being a familiar spot from before the Black Hole got up to its shenanigans.

Mario Kart Tour: How to Beat Mega Dry Bowser

Mario Kart Tour: How to Beat Mega Dry Bowser

Mario Kart Tour's Mega Dry Bowser isn't exactly the most helpful guy. He is rude, mean, and tough to beat, to the point where lots of people out there think the race is designed to be unbeatable. You can do it, however. In this guide, we will run through some essential things that will help you out, but make no mistake, this is all about grinding and practice.

Mario Kart Tour: How to Beat Mega Dry Bowser

First, and most importantly, you need to practice. You need to learn the race inside and out. The race plays out in a very similar way most of the time, and that last straight is always going to be a hellscape of items that you need to deal with. Item timings and how you use them fall into a couple of simple patterns, so learn them and then adapt your tactics accordingly.

Next, consider the types of items that will benefit you and pick your driver accordingly. People who have won this race seem to be big fans of Peach or Ludwig for the race. Peach has Red Shell Frenzy, while Ludwig has Bob-omb Frenzy, both of which are extremely useful in all races, not just this one.

You also want to be smart with your item usage. That last corner and straight is a nightmare, so saving an item for that point is a must. It is almost certain Mega Dry Bowser will be in first place going into that last section, so you will need something to hit him with and interrupt his item spam so that you can make it over the finish line first.

This race is beatable, but all reports from the internet imply it will take a lot of practice and a little luck to do it. All you can do is grind the race until you learn the nuance of it, and eventually, you will get that first-place finish.

Sims 4 University Expansion Leaked From Xbox One's Store

Sims 4 University Expansion Leaked From Xbox One's StoreZack PalmSun, 10/20/2019 - 12:42

Those who have been enjoying EA's Sims 4 are in for a treat later this year. It looks like the university expansion has gotten leaked online from Xbox One's Microsoft Store over this weekend. Some players were able to see the store slot for the expansion, but not everyone. Those who did see it were able to capture an image of it, which you view below.

Rumors have circulated this particular expansion for a little bit of time. Previously, players had assumed it was going to release on Nov. 15. However, from the image, we can tell the release date is scheduled for Dec. 17. At this time, EA has not confirmed the release date for this expansion, so we're left in the dark about the exact date until we get confirmation from the company.

In one of the other images attached to the tweet, you can get a look at the description of the expansion. Here's a better look at it, for those who are curious. The expansion is going to have students attending classes like they would a traditional school, with ways to direct a particular sim's career before it's begun. Players are going to have two schools to choose from, the "historical University of Britechester or modern Foxbury Institute."

It comes with all of the traditional college tropes, such as ping-pong games, pranks, skipping class, choosing to be on time, and the critical effort of time management. There's even mention of a secret society a player can try to get their sim to join, so that should lead to quite a bit of fun.

At this time, we don't have any confirmation for when the university expansion is coming to Sims 4. We can likely guess sometime before the end of the year as a holiday release, or during the beginning of 2020.

You can get the Sims 4 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC right now.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Pre-order Guide

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is going to release in a little less than on a month on Nov. 15. For the better part of a week, early viewers of the final game have come back giving the title plenty of praise. There's a lot we can expect from this upcoming single-player game, and for those who are eager to make sure they reserve their copy of the game, have the opportunity to do so here. There are plenty of options to choose from in this pre-order list, so we're going to break down each option to make sure players find the right copy for them to purchase.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Pre-order Guide

Standard

Are you looking for the straight-forward approach to their gaming experience without any fancy attached to it, you're going to want to pick-up this version. There are a handful of pre-order bonuses from each retailer. Some have exclusive options for them, and others are universal. None of the pre-order options are going to modify a player's experience. They are cosmetic, so it's up to the player to choose what version they want to learn into, where they want to purchase the game from, and the type of platform they have. You can expect to pay roughly around $60 for many of these.

Whoever pre-orders a standard edition for Jedi: Fallen Order before it releases is going to receive:

  • BEE-D-1 Skin
  • Mygeeto Campaign Hilt
  • Orange Lightsaber Color Crystal
  • Umbaran Campaign Hilt

We have the exclusive item listed next to the retailer in each category:

Deluxe Edition

Now, you're looking to get a bit more out of the game than someone who merely wants to play the title. You're going to expect to pay nearly $70 for any of the Deluxe Edition versions. However, you're going to receive a bit more for this option. You're going to get:

  • Crimson BEE-D-1 Skin
  • Crimson Mantis Skin
  • Digital Art Book
  • "Director's Cut" Behind the Scenes Videos

If you're a fan who likes to see how things get made and you're a fan of Star Wars, you'll want to check those out. However, if you're patient, you can likely wait for them to show up YouTube after the game releases. But you won't get the sick BEE-D-1 or Mantis skins when you're playing the game. You can expect to get all of the above and exclusive items from each retailer:

GameStop Exclusive - Black Series Figures

GameStop has an exclusive offer for anyone who wants to get a figure of a character from the game. At this time, GameStop has not shown off what Black Series Figure is going to come with the game, but players can expect to learn more details soon. It's a six-inch figure. We don't know what character from the game it's going to be, but we can imagine it's going to be the main character and his little droid companion. It does cost more than the Deluxe Edition, but it comes with everything it comes with that one, plus the figure.

Typically, the figures cost around $25 to $35, so for another ten dollars, it's perfect for any Star Wars fan.

Jedi: Fallen Order releases on Nov. 15 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on Origin.

Terminator: Resistance New Footage Shows Off Stealth Elements

Terminator: Resistance New Footage Shows Off Stealth ElementsZack PalmSun, 10/20/2019 - 13:46

During a PlayStation Access live stream at EGX, the presenters gave their audience members a better look at the upcoming Terminator: Resistance game that's coming out next month. Did you forget about that announcement? It was sudden and out of nowhere. However, it's still happening. It's going to release on Nov. 15, and Teyon is developing it.

You can check out the footage at the bottom of this article. There are a solid 30 minutes of footage, so take your time and enjoy it. During the first portion of the video, we see the main character use a lockpick to open up an ambulance. Inside, they gather up a series of drugs. The representative at the live stream pointed out that this was a side mission for one of the characters back at the player's home base. They had requested these drugs.

Had the player missed them, there would have been consequences for missing this side mission, so players are going to need to complete them, rather than focusing on the main mission. Depending on how this affects the overall story, this game option could go either way. The player did level up during this portion and gained a few skill points, which gives us a small idea of available skill points to customize a player's gameplay experience based on how they like to play.

We also got a glimpse at the sneaking mechanics in the game. The presenter turned on the game's ultravision, they called it, which allows the player to see nearby enemies. A player can scan them the enemy outlines to see how much health they have and if they have armor or not. Players can outright attack these enemy turrets, or they can choose to sneak by them. A player does not get immediately spotted. Instead, there's a vision meter at the top that makes the enemies go on alert if it gets full. By hiding, a player can quickly remove it and try again.

When the live stream gets past the turrets they enter a hospital area where there at T-800s roaming the halls. Again, players can choose to sneak past them or fight them out. It looks like it might be a better option to sneak past them, so we can expect there to be sneaking skills or abilities players will want to put points into to make it easier to slip past enemies.

You can expect to learn more about the game for the next few weeks before Terminator: Resistance releases for the Xbox One and the PC on Nov. 15.

Outer Worlds PC System Requirements

Outer Worlds comes out soon, and players are eager to get their hands on the next title by Obsidian Entertainment. Those who have already tried out the science fiction game are reporting it feels like what people wanted from a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas, Obsidian's entry in the Fallout franchise. With that in mind, many cannot wait to jump in. However, those playing on a PC are going to want to know if they can run it with their current set up. Here's what the requirements look like if you're going to make sure you're going to be ready when it releases.

Outer Worlds PC System Requirements

For those worried about struggling with the Outer World's graphics, you don't have much to fear. The minimum requirements are not going to strain even a medium-range set up, and the recommended choices reveal a hardware setup with a GTX 1060 is going to do fine.

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 (SP1) 64bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-3225 or AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
  • RAM: 4GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti or AMD HD 7850
  • HDD Space: 40GB

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K  or Ryzen 5 1600
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or Radeon RX 470
  • HDD Space: 40GB

Regardless of how good of set-up you have, players are going to want to make sure they have at least 40GB available on their hard drive. There's likely going to be a day-one patch with the game, so you may want to have a bit more available, such as 50GB to 60GB, to prepare for any pushes the development team adds to the game.

Obsidian Entertainment is making it pretty easy for most medium-range PC rigs to take part in the game. Even a decent laptop could have the chance to use it if the player did not mind slightly lower graphical settings.

Outer Worlds is going to release on Oct. 25 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and to the PC via the Epic Games Store.

Rumor: Blizzard Going To Announce Diablo 2 Remaster and Diablo 4 at BlizzCon 2019Zack PalmSun, 10/20/2019 - 16:15

We're getting a few rumors about some upcoming announcements Blizzard could be making at this year's BlizzCon 2019. Supposedly, the company is going to come out and share details about a Diablo 2 remaster version, and then they're going to share about Diablo 4.

The rumor is coming from Metro on Twitter, which you can check out below.

Metro is an Overwatch streamer who has been sharing additional details about the upcoming Overwatch 2 set to come out in the future, too. The move to share about future Diablo titles is likely going to happen, given last year's BlizzCon in 2018. Many fans walked away from it hurt and confused, due to the Blizzard sharing their announcement for a Diablo game set to release as a mobile game. It was not supposed to be a replacement for Diablo 4, but the company had said they did not want to share details too early. BlizzCon 2019 might be the right time.

Because of the recent stance the company has had about their streamers vocalizing support for Freeing Hong Kong and the treatment of the Chinese government, many are looking at Blizzard with a profoundly cynical eye. The Diablo announcements could help lighten the mood, but it may not be enough.

We're going to see what Blizzard does. BlizzCon 2019 starts on Nov. 1 and goes until Nov. 2. It's a brief weekend in Anaheim, but fans are going to get their fair share of announcements. They might be getting some new details about an Overwatch 2, among other titles coming out in the next few years.

We'll learn more details in the next few weeks. We won't be able to confirm anything, nor do we have any forthcoming information on either release. Make sure to check out Gamepur for more details when BlizzCon 2019 kicks off on Nov. 1.

Fortnite Dementor Bug Causes Players to Launch Into the Air when Hiding in a DumpsterZack PalmSun, 10/20/2019 - 17:21

Have you checked out the latest additions to Fortnite during their Chapter 2 update? You're going to see plenty of new mechanics and strategies over the next few weeks. Because stuff is pretty new, you're also bound to encounter a handful of bugs. There's a particular one that launches players into the air if they hide in a dumpster.

You can check out how this works through this brief video below. Reddit user Bigdog-475 took it.

So hiding in a dumpster turned me into a dementor? from r/FortNiteBR

When the character jumps into the dumpster, they're pretty hidden. They hop out, and everything goes off perfectly. However, when the next person goes into the dumpster, and then the second person follows, the second person gets launched into the air when they jump out. They disappear into a ghostly figure and float away. Eventually, they change back to their physical form, but then they fall to the ground. If a player is playing by themselves, they die on impact. If they're in a group, they could get a revive from a partner, but it's still going to waste a good chunk of time.

Related: Fortnite Chapter 2 - All Upgrade Bench Locations

Regardless, a player turning into the ghostly figure, playfully referred to as "Dementor" bug from the Harry Potter series, is not what's supposed to happen. Thankfully, a developer from the Fortnite stepped into the Reddit thread to confirm they had members of their team already working on the issue.

Players are likely going to have to deal with the issue for a few more days. It should get sorted out in a new hotfix. Until then, if you and your friends want to hop into a game to get the bug to happen to see for yourself, you should be able to do it. The person who wants to be the ghostly figure needs to be the second person to jump into the dumpster.

There's a lot to do in the latest update, so hopefully, you're enjoying Fortnite's Chapter 2.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville -- How To Find the Golden Invoices

With its release, fans of Plants vs. Zombies are discovering a bountiful amount of goodies hidden within the world of Battle for Neighborville. These include a few Diamond Gnomes, as well as some hidden areas that offer some huge payoffs.

Also, there are invoices. Six golden invoices hidden in all, mind you. They're a great way to reward you with even more coins and bonus items to equip your teams with. But, as expected, it’ll take a little bit of work to track these down and dig them up.

Fortunately, we’ve come up with the location of all six of these invoices. But keep in mind that before you find them, you’ll need to track down a telescope so you can pinpoint their location and dig them up. Follow the directions below, however, and you should have no problem doing so!

The First Three Invoices

First, check out the map below. With the red markers, you’ll be able to find the telescope reasonably straightforward and then the invoices right after. But more specific instructions are also included.

Plants Map

Invoice #1

The first one will come right at the end of a twisting road leaping into Up-Down-Uptown. When you get there, find a pier near a waterfall. On it, you’ll see the telescope. Look through it, and you should be able to spot the invoice. Then go around and find the dirt pile that was marked, get to digging, and you’re on your way.

Invoice #2

The next one is in the midst of the town closest to Sundrop Hills, as marked on the lower-left corner of the map. You’ll find a house with a wooden platform. Make your way up top, and you’ll find the telescope. Look through it, find the dirt pile, head over and get to digging!

Invoice #3

Now, you’ll need to go into the heart of Up-Down-Uptown, on the western side of the suburban area. Find the race track and look for the red and green train carts. The red one will have the telescope on top of it, Peer through it, spot your dirt pile and get the invoice!

The Final Three Invoices

Invoice #4

The fourth invoice is in the northern part of Up-Down-Uptown. Find the revolving yellow taco sign (it’s easy to spot) and locate the building standing next to it. Go to its roof, and you’ll find a telescope, which links you to the following location of the invoice!

Invoice #5

Now you’ll go to the upper eastern part of the city. Find both the white lighthouse and the hut and shacks nearby, and you’ll know you’re on the right trail. Check out a platform that’s sitting by the beach, and you should spot the telescope on it. Look through it, and you’ll have the location of the fifth invoice, ready to dig up!

Invoice #6

Last but not least, the sixth invoice is on the far eastern edge of the city. Look for a cave area near the old ruins, and you should be able to see the telescope right by an entrance that overlooks the nearby pool. Check it out, and you’ll know where the final invoice is at.

Collect all six and earn some sweet rewards in the process. It pays to be a prospector.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Does Outer Worlds have Coop or Multiplayer?

Later this week, we're going to get the chance to launch into Outer Worlds, Obsidian Entertainment's next RPG experience. It's a science-fiction take on what they did for their entry in the Fallout series, which was Fallout: New Vegas. Fans are excited to check it out. When it does launch, are players going to get the chance to run through the game with their friends or to check out some multiplayer features?

Does Outer Worlds have Coop or Multiplayer?

For many who have been keeping up with the game since it first got announced, chances are you were expecting the type of answer Obsidian is going to have for Outer Worlds. At this time, it does not look like it's going to feature any form of Coop or multiplayer in their game. You won't be able to compare any leaderboards or to see who has the highest score in a mission or anything like that. Outer Worlds is going to focus solely on the single-player experience and the RPG elements of the game.

However, players are going to get their chance to take a few companions with them they encounter along the way. Players are going to have to complete missions for them in the game, and when they do, gaining enough influence with them at the same time, they'll choose to join in on the fun. They are customizable, so a character can use them to fit a particular role they're missing out on during the campaign. A player can also bring more than one companion with them, granting the opportunity to pick and choose useful abilities.

Each companion has a series of perks associated with them, and up to three different skills and abilities. They even level up similar to a player, meaning if there's a particular companion that works with a character, they're going to stick around and help out quite a bit more. Luckily, they cannot wholly leave a player's party unless prompted to do so, but they can stop fighting if they disprove of a particular action or choice.

We only know of three companions so far: Ellie, Felix, and Parvati. You cannot romance them because Obsidian felt they would limiting the variety of choices a player would want to go if they included a romantic option.

The Outer Worlds releases extremely soon on Oct. 25 for the Xbox One, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and the PC through the Epic Games Store.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood Heavy Metal Reveal Trailer Shows off New Action-RPG by BigbenZack PalmSun, 10/20/2019 - 19:42

Were you hoping for another game to give you your heavy-metal music drive while you run around being an absolute monster? Sometime in 2020, you're going to get that chance with Bigben's next title Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood. There's a brand new trailer for the title.

You can check out the video below. It's a little over a minute long and doesn't provide too many details other than a basic premise. Shortly before you start the trailer, though, heavy-metal music plays out welcoming you int the right kind of Apocalypse. We do know this game takes place in the World of Darkness, which is the same world Vampire: The Masquerade takes place in, so if you're a fan of those games, you may want to make sure you pick up this title.

Again, there's not too many mechanics, details, or more information we can provide you. All we have right now is in the reveal trailer, but you can expect additional details to come out over the next couple of weeks. If anything, the development studio, Bigben, following the coattails of Paradox's Vampire: The Masquerade game release, which is going to come out sometime in March 2020. This release date is only secure if Paradox doesn't push anything back, but they usually have a decent track record for their game releases.

We're likely going to see the Werewolf game release sometime in the summer of 2020, or next holiday season. It could do exceptionally well given the reception of Paradox's Vampire game. Given the franchise's history, it's likely going to be an action-RPG game, and if the music tells us anything, it's going to have plenty of high-octane, adrenaline-racing adventure.

Hopefully, we get more music like this when the game releases.

It's going to have an exciting new story mode, with plenty of things for players to check out in the multiplayer portion of the title. For those eager to jump in, here are the time windows for when you can launch it and start playing.

When Does CoD: Modern Warfare Release?

For those expecting to get the chance to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare earlier than everyone else, you're in for a little bit of sour luck. At this time, we know for sure the game is going to release on Oct. 24 at 9 pm EST and 6 pm PST. It's going to come out on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Blizzard launcher, Battle.net. Check out which time it unlocks in your timezone, below.

Call of Duty: Release Schedule by Time Zone

Because there's no better way to help get players in immediately, the best thing everything should do is start pre-loading Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as quickly as they can. Those who have the game pre-ordered for digital release to their PlayStation 4 or Xbox One can preload the game right now. It's a hefty download, too. At first, many players thought they were going to have to download up to 175GB for the game, but this later got changed to say all of the content for the game was going to add up to it. Not the first part of it. Regardless, it's a large download.

PC players do not have access to the pre-load, at this time. They're going to gain access to it on Tuesday. When that happens, everyone playing on their mouse and keyboard can hop over to their Battle.net application and start the process. Hopefully, it won't take as long.

With the times available for everyone to see, it's only a few more days until Call of Duty: Modern Warfare returns to the limelight. Players are going to reunite with Captain Price and join him in a new adventure, with plenty of multiplayer action to jump in on when they're done. There are no loot crates for the game this time around, but there's a seasonal battle pass full of free and premium content.

You can pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare here. The game releases worldwide on Oct. 25 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Blizzard's Battle.net.

Diablo IV Leaks On Amazon GermanyPaolo SirioMon, 10/21/2019 - 05:00

Over the last few hours, we've reported about a new Diablo IV rumor, which was based on a tip from an insider who had revealed some practical information from Blizzard, such as the reveal of Overwatch heroes.

That looked somewhat reliable, also if you consider that, after the Diablo Immortal backlash, the company has never made a secret of being working on a new Diablo game for leading platforms. The reveal could happen at the incoming BlizzCon.

Now, we do have one more clue that is seemingly pointing at the incoming BlizzCon being the right place and event for such a big reveal. Amazon Germany has indeed inserted into its listings a brand new artbook, called The Art of Diablo, which mentions the latest game in the franchise (via VG247).

The book is said to be "featuring over 500 artworks from Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III, and Diablo IV," and is releasing in the days of the BlizzCon. Diablo IV has yet to be announced, and the book is releasing right in the days of BlizzCon, so you can do the math.

As said, Blizzard has somehow to get back in touch with its community, which has been alienated due to the Blitzchung affair and, even further in the past, by the infamous Diablo Immortal announcement, that has put the company in a bad position in regards of its original PC userbase.

BlizzCon is planned for November 1-3, 2019, so we'll soon see if things are really about to change for the studio.

Death Stranding Title Screen Leaks

Death Stranding Title Screen LeaksPaolo SirioMon, 10/21/2019 - 05:39

As you might have heard, impressions and reviews for Death Stranding are under a strict embargo and will stay so up until November 1, 2019. Anyway, from time to time, some brave members of the press allow us to get some anonymous leak we can grab info from and generously spread across the Internet.

This time, we get to learn about the title screen for the game, which shows a few voices you can select from, such new game, load game, and so on, and in the background a scene from the original trailer, the beach with all those stranded whales. That scene has also been part of the trailer where Amelie is briefly shown in one of the latest trailers.

While we do believe that location will be that important to be included in the title screen, there's a chance that, similarly to other PlayStation exclusives, the title screen background could change according to the point in the story you'll have reached.

From the title screen, which has leaked over Reddit, we also learn two more things. First, there's that "Open Source Licenses" which looks a bit out of place there, even though we don't know what it includes precisely; on top of that, the menu also points out that Sony Interactive Entertainment owns the IP, and that not all the goods featured in the game are meant to be product placements.

You might recall the Monster cans that were shown aplenty in the latest gameplay from Tokyo Game Show, and that's one of those cases. Also, Norman Reedus' Ride was featured in that gameplay, and that could be one more of those.

Death Stranding is releasing on November 8, 2019, for PlayStation 4.

God of War Director Impressed By The Witcher 3 Switch PortPaolo SirioMon, 10/21/2019 - 05:50

You might have heard about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch, and that the game has been through a lot of compromises to run on the latest console from the Japanese platform owner.

That was a given if you consider that the game had also been through a lot of those compromises on Xbox One and PS4, which are hugely more powerful than Nintendo Switch, so it didn't come as a surprise to many fans of the series.

Those knew about that and knew that the 'magic' would have truly happened on handheld mode, where you'd been able to play one of the biggest action RPG of the generations on the go thanks to the Nintendo Switch also being a portable console.

God of War 2018's creative director Cory Barlog seems to know that well, and he is indeed surprised and even amazed at the outcome of the work done by CD Projekt RED and Saber Interactive to make the title run 'so well' on handheld mode.

"I absolutely LOVE being able to play Witcher III on my Switch Lite," he said in one tweet, poking some fun at the name 'Switcher', which has been adopted by the community to dub the latest port in the franchise for Switch.

"It is a portable version of a game that is like 3x the size of ALL the games I have ever made combined!" he added in admiration. "It is some kind of dark sorcery that did to get it run on the Switch, so I am more than cool with the graphical tradeoffs required to realize this glorious feat of dev magic."

You can play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Editionfor Nintendo Switch right now, and that would be something that Cory Barlog would 100% suggest you do if you could talk to him, that's granted.
