Former BioShock Creative Director Hopes the Newest Game Will “Cast Off the Chains of the Past”Robert WorkmanMon, 01/06/2020 - 11:32

Last month, 2K Games confirmed that a new Bioshock game was in the works under the guidance of the new team at Cloud Chamber Studios. And while it’s too soon to tell what the next chapter has in store, many have high hopes for it — including its former creative director.

In a recent conversation with journalist Samuel Horti, Jordan Thomas believes the studio could surprise players. However, it has to accomplish quite a bit to do so.

“I hope they cast off the chains of the past, that they feel as unbound as possible,” he said. “That is what I’d hope the series (is) known for: taking you to places you didn’t expect, thematically and physically.”

Thomas previously worked alongside 2K Marin on BioShock 2, which came out back in 2010. But despite being a beloved entry in the series, he believes its creative direction suffered due to interference from the publisher.

Thomas went into more detail about this in a recent interview with TechRadar. He explains how he originally wanted to put together a game that focused on what occurred in the underwater city of Rapture in the past, through the eyes of a Little Sister. 2K, however, had other plans, forcing him to “step out of the way” to follow their direction, but “with little dashes of the surrealism I so adore.”

Though eventually he helped paved the game’s way to success, he does feel its development was a “heartbreaking series of returns to reality.” So his thoughts on Cloud Chamber relieving themselves of these “chains of the past” make more sense in that regard.

While these are exciting times for BioShock fans, don’t expect information on the new game anytime soon. 2K already noted that it’ll be “years” before we see what Cloud Chamber has in store.

Henry Cavill might play Geralt in The Witcher, but "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher" is the real star of Netflix's adaptation of the series of books written by Andrzej Sapkowski. The song, performed by Joey Batey as Jaskier, has taken over the internet. As tends to happen, a lot of very talented musicians and singers have decided to record their version of the song, giving us all a reason to spend hours trawling around Youtube instead of working.

Jordan Moreau

Jordan Moreau brings us a simple acoustic version of the song. Excellent guitar work and a solid voice makes this an entertaining take on the song we all know and love/loath from the show.

Beyond The Guitar

Beyond the Guitar puts a classical guitar spin on things. With no singing in this one, the exceptional guitar playing does all the heavy lifting. This version would be right at home in your Dungeons and Dragons playlist.

Lara6683

Lara6683 has a fantastic Twitch channel. She streams herself playing the piano and will do regular streams where she learns to play fan-requested songs in a matter of minutes. A truly talented individual, her piano version gives a sense of majesty to the track. For a bit more fun, check her TossPacito to Your Witcher video.

Marty Music

While it's not a cover, this is still worthwhile. If you want to learn how to play the song yourself, then Marty Music has you covered. This tutorial assumes you already have musical knowledge, and can play the guitar. If you are starting, then it's probably best to find a more straightforward song to learn. Witchers in training are not sent to fight Griffins, after all.

IKA

Ika goes for a duel-guitar cover, slowing the tempo and adding a somewhat eerie vibe to the proceedings. It's a fun cover, and worth a listen.

Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli

Going in a completely different direction, Sonya Belousova & Giona Ostinelli put a Synthwave spin on the track. Most of grit and dreariness is gone, replaced by some day-glow 80s vibes.

Chris Cronos

This is a personal favorite. Chris Cronos gives the song a one-man metal band treatment. He even has a lute! Chris has a superb voice and some serious talent across a multitude of instruments. He turns "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher" into a rousing metal version that doesn't just get lost in noise.

The Marulina

TheMarulina once again goes for a simple version of the track, sticking with an acoustic guitar, and singing. She has a seriously impressive voice, hitting some beautifully smooth high notes during this rendition.

Travel Faster in Minecraft With a Boat than A Traditional MinecartZack PalmMon, 01/06/2020 - 11:45

You have to be creative if you want fast transportation in Minecraft, and a player discovers you can go even quicker on a boat than you could on a minecart.

For players who want to traverse their world quickly, they create a rail system where they activate it to send their minecart. It's a fast system, and certainly easier than attempting to grab a saddle from one of the random drops in the world to place on a horse. However, a player does a similar rail-like system, but instead of a minecart, they use a boat and small cubes of water.

You can check it out in the video below. There are a series of small water spots the player uses to traverse across the railing system, rowing the boat as if they were on a lake or a larger body of water. Based on how the water pieces are separated, they can quickly zip across the world at a rate significantly faster than a minecart would travel.

It's a fun way to see a player travel across Minecraft. The design itself feels to mirror that of a minecart, with torches on the side, the explicit route zipping across. The player had walls catch themselves, and there was a visible shake on the screen every time the boat slammed into it.

The technique could introduce new ways for players to explore how they travel across their world. There have been other methods in the past of players attempting to place a boat on top of a minecart to make it go faster, but we don't see any tricks here.

We'd love to see what players come up with learning this knowledge. More videos could surface on Twitch or other media websites, and if you figure out how to make one, make sure to share it with your friends.

Minecraft Player Transforms a Fireplace Into a FridgeRobert WorkmanMon, 01/06/2020 - 12:23

You can pretty much do anything in Minecraft, provided that you’re devoted enough to put time into it. But one particular player has managed to pull off a pretty good transformation act recently, turning a fireplace into a...fridge?

A Reddit user by the name of u/Ihaha07 recently showed how they were able to turn a working fireplace into a fridge in just a few basic steps. And it’s crazy enough that it might just work for other players, too.

The video is below, showing just how u/Ihaha07 was able to put this all together.

How to build a working fridge in Minecraft! from r/Minecraft

First off, they began with a fireplace that was still lit. From there, they went and stacked another fireplace on top of it, then poured a huge amount of water over both of them. This doused the flames that the fireplaces have, leaving the stained wood behind.

u/Ihaha07 then built a wooden frame around these two pieces, forming the shape of a mini-fridge. This included pieces on top, as well as front and back.

Once the frame was put in place (including the shelves instead), all that was left to do was stack the pork chops into it and shut the door.

While some players were impressed by the feat, others had suggestions, like possibly replacing the wood frame with an iron one. Another believes that it’s more like a “smokehouse” than a fridge, but “still a neat idea” nevertheless.

So if you’re in the mood to build something neat and don’t want to take the usual process, give it a shot. Just make sure you take good care of your pork chops. You don’t need them getting spoiled...

Tencent Has Put Its Own Office Building in Call of Duty: MobileJess SimmondsMon, 01/06/2020 - 10:28

A new map for Call of Duty: Mobile has been released onto the test server, and it contains an interesting nod to Tencent, the Chinese multinational conglomerate and parent company of developer TiMi Studios.

The map, called Cage, appears to be set in a city construction site, with lots of scaffolding to snipe from and tarpaulin to hide behind. Although the city is just a backdrop, one eagle-eyed player, who goes by @Pedrozkyo on Twitter, noticed that one of the skyscrapers on the map is modeled after the Tencent Binhai Mansion (yes, that’s the real name) in Shenzhen, China.

The Tencent building as it appears in COD: Mobile

The building is an extremely accurate replica of its real-life counterpart, capturing the size difference between the towers and the three sky bridges connecting them perfectly. In real life, the skyscrapers are 814 and 636 feet tall, with 50 and 41 floors respectively.

The Tencent building isn’t the only new thing that players have spotted in the preview of this map. Gameplay uploaded to Youtube shows a new Scorestreak involving a Mech suit called Goliath. According to the Patch Notes (point 1.3.1.2) , which many of the beta players have released online, the XS1 Goliath will require 900 points to activate, and can “sweep the battlefield.”

Although there is no confirmed release date for Season 3 of Call of Duty: Mobile yet, based on the length and start dates of previous seasons, we can assume it will start at some point during the week of Jan. 20.

Fan Imagines Pokémon Sword and Shield Characters in Animal Crossing: New HorizonsZack PalmMon, 01/06/2020 - 12:48

How incredible would it be to see Pokémon Sword and Shield characters in the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons game?

Russian artist Andrei Mishanin agrees, giving us a good idea of what it would look like with her latest creation. She tweeted out several notable female Sword and Shield characters reimagined as Animal Crossing residents. While none of it is official, it's a fun idea to see these two Nintendo properties cutely cross paths.

From the tweet, we see a Poké Kid dressed as Eevee, the standard Sword and Shield female trainer, professor Magnolia's granddaughter Sonia, the Fighting-type Gym leader Bea, the Water-type Gym leader Nessa, and one of the Sword and Shield rivals Marnie.

If players were to receive any form of Sword and Shield appearance items in the upcoming New Horizons game, which releases March 20, it'd be in the form of downloadable content. Because Nintendo owns both properties, it's not too far out of the realm of reality.

Nintendo has so many crossovers in their games and franchises, such as Smash Bros. and Mario Kart, and the Animal Crossing Pocket Camp mobile game has had a handful of crossover items available. The people at Nintendo like to have fun with these intermingling universes, and Mishanin's fanart proves how much the fans enjoy it too.

5 Fun Ways to Play Local Multiplayer in Pokémon Sword and Shield

5 Fun Ways to Play Local Multiplayer in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Not everyone with a Switch has Nintendo Online, but Pokémon Sword and Shield has plenty of fun ways to play local multiplayer with the friends around you.

Y-Comm local play can be conducted no matter where you are in the Galar region, while the rest take place specifically in the Wild Area.

Link Trade (Y-Comm)

Link trading is when you and a friend each choose a Pokémon to trade with the other. This is especially helpful if one person plays Sword and the other plays Shield because you can trade Pokémon that are version exclusives and finish your Pokédex. Some major exclusives are Cursola and Galarian Ponyta (Shield) and Sirfetch'd and Stonjourner (Sword).

Link Battle (Y-Comm)

Link Battling is when you and a friend each put together a team of Pokémon and have a battle against each other. You can choose between Single, Double, and Multi style battles, and also choose whether to play with your Pokémon at the levels they are, or flatten everyone out to level 50 if you and your friend’s Pokémon aren’t close enough in level.

Exploring (Wild Area)

If you and some friends are all playing Pokémon Sword and Shield at the same time, and you all go into the same part of the Wild Area, you will discover that you can see each other. There is usually at bit of lag, and sadly, it won’t show up on any of your friends’ screens if you Charizard pose, but other than that, you can freely explore the wild area together, finding berries and Pokémon.

Camping (Wild Area)

If you place your Pokémon camp down in the wild area, your friends can see it. If they stand on it and press A, they visit your camp. You can talk to/play with both your own and your friends’ Pokémon and you can make curry together. While only one player can choose the base curry ingredient, everyone can add berries, making cooking less taxing on your individual resources.

Max Raid Battle (Wild Area + Y-Comm)

All around the wild area there are Pokémon dens. Inactive dens give you 50 watts, while active dens give you 300 watts and a chance to fight the Dynamax Pokémon inside in a raid style battle. You can do this with NPCs or up to three friends to make a team of four. If you are playing with one or two friends, the rest of the raid trainers will be NPCs. If you win, everyone gets a chance to catch the raid Pokémon and a set of rewards.

Note: the raids will be in different den locations and at different levels for each player. When you find a raid, you must invite friends to battle with you via the raid menu. They can join you by opening the Y-Comm, refreshing the feed, going over to your invite and clicking “Join In”.

Bring the Boomshakalaka Home With NBA Jam Arcade Cabinet, Now With Online PlayRobert WorkmanMon, 01/06/2020 - 14:27

Arcade1up has unveiled its line-up of classic, build-your-own arcade games coming to the market over the next year at the Consumer Electronics Show, happening now in Las Vegas. Leading the charge is an NBA Jam cabinet that not only features three basketball games in one, but also a great new feature: online multiplayer.

We first saw a report from YouTuber cooltoy, who is at CES and posted a few photos of Arcade1up's offerings on his Twitter account.

The machine, which doesn’t currently have a release date, includes both the original NBA Jam and its Tournament Edition with their original rosters, along with the spin-off NBA Hangtime. According to the report, the games will allow “users to play with other Arcade1up cabinets in drop-in style games" in North America. The last time we saw NBA Jam was with EA’s On Fire revival back in 2011.

The game is available to play this week at CES, so those that are attending the show might want to stop by and get a few dunks in.

Arcade1up also announced it will try pinball for the first time, in a partnership with Zen Studios and Bally. Making authentic tables at about 3/4 the size of the original machines, these will include “titles from Bally/Williams and other yet to be announced, big names in the pinball space." A release date wasn’t available for this either, but a demo version is available on the CES show floor as well.

Rounding out Arcade1up’s new games are a sit-down Star Wars arcade cabinet; a Sega five-pack that features Golden Axe and Altered Beast; a new version of the classic Frogger; and a limited edition BurgerTime machine, which is available for pre-order now and is set to arrive in early March.

Xbox Series X’s Processor Proclaims “8K” Right On the ChipRobert WorkmanMon, 01/06/2020 - 15:19

Microsoft is no stranger to boasting about the power of its game consoles, and the Xbox Series X is no exception.

Phil Spencer, head of the company’s Xbox division, recently made a change to his Twitter avatar. Although it doesn’t quite look like his face anymore, it does feature the upcoming console’s processing chip in its place. And it appears to have something to say right off the bat.

The slightly orange-colored chip features a model number, along with the words “Project Scarlett,” which is the original name of the latest Xbox gaming hardware. But it also features the word “8K” in the corner, indicating that the console is ready for the next generation of displays.

Xbox Series X Processor

This isn’t the first time that Microsoft indicated its confidence in Xbox resolution on its chip set. Previously, the company engraved the word “4K” on its Xbox One X processor.

As for when we’ll be able to see what the chip can possibly do, it won’t be too long. According to Destructoid, AMD, the makers of the Zen 2 architecture that the Xbox Series X utilizes, will host a Consumer Electronics Show keynote from Las Vegas at 2PM PDT. During that time, consumers should get a better idea of just what the tech is capable of.

That’s not to say we’ll see any Xbox-related demos, but it’ll be an interesting show nevertheless. Those interested can watch the presentation here.

And be sure to follow this page to get the latest on the Xbox Series X as well.

This Fan-Run Website is Exposing Reported Cheaters in OverwatchShane BlackMon, 01/06/2020 - 15:23

Justice has come to Overwatch in the form of a group of players who are dedicated to finding and listing out all reported cheaters in the game.

The Overwatch Police Department, as they call themselves, has been around since April 2019, taking the time to find any known cheaters in the game and spread awareness about them among the player base. Recently, they have worked with stats5 to create a list of all these players.

As announced on the team's Twitter page, players can visit the new website to report and search for specific cheaters. All you have to do is register an account with the website and link it to your Battle.net account, and you can easily find players you are looking to report.

As is the case with so many competitive and online games, Overwatch is full of players looking to get the upper hand by any means possible. Nothing is worse than getting beat by a player who you know is cheating and not being able to do anything about it. The game has a "Report" feature, but these are easy to get lost in the sheer amount of reports that are submitted to Blizzard. With this new tool, players can feel a little better about doing their part in helping limit cheaters' abilities to keep breaking the rules.

The entire team is run by fans and has no connection to Blizzard at all; this is simply a movement by the community to keep the game as good as it can be.

Dreams Come True as Media Molecule's Ambitious Creation Game Goes GoldBryan LawverMon, 01/06/2020 - 15:46

After spending around 8 months in early access, Media Molecule’s ambitious game/creation tool Dreams has gone gold and will be launching Feb. 14.

Media Molecule’s Little Big Planet series became popular for its extensive level creation suite, and Dreams builds on that foundation by letting players design anything from music videos to entire new games.

Media Molecule announced the end of Dreams’ early access period in December, taking the game off the storefront on Dec. 7 to implement final changes, but allowing anyone who already owned it to continue playing. At the time, Media Molecule said it would focus on adding its own content to the game, and improve features like tutorials and community creation events. The developer didn’t announce a release date then, but rumors had already pegged the launch for some time in February, and the date was later confirmed during Sony’s State of Play presentation.

Now, Media Molecule has confirmed Dreams’ Feb. 14 launch in a tweet showing the very enthusiastic-looking development team gathered in the studio to celebrate. As hinted at by the tweet saying “we’re so excited to continue this adventure,” Media Molecule’s work is far from done.

Given the ongoing community nature of Dreams and the fact that it’s about to get exposed to a much wider audience than it’s had so far, the developer will likely be working for quite a while squashing bugs, adding new features, and keeping creators and players engaged.

PlayStation Worldwide Studios’ former president Shuhei Yoshida, who’s now in charge of guiding indie studios with Sony, also has high hopes for Dreams. Last year, he said that Sony has a 10-year vision for Dreams, calling it one of his favorite projects ever. That announcement has also led to speculation that Dreams could see a PlayStation 5 port somewhere down the line.

Complete Guide to the Call of Duty: Mobile Season 3 LeaksJess SimmondsMon, 01/06/2020 - 16:14

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Call of Duty: Mobile Season 3, and although no official announcements have been made, there are plenty of leaks to keep you going.

Because the Test Server for Season 3 is up already, some beta testers have been sharing their findings online with other fans, which is only growing the hype for the official start of the season. With new maps, game modes, weapons, and Scorestreaks, it looks like the developers have gone all-out for this update. The full leaked patch notes are below.

Alongside new features and adjustments, there are a number of new weapons making their way to the game at the start of Season 3. Viiper on Youtube, a test player, has found nine weapons that players can try and get their hands on during special events.

Players will be able to use the H.I.V.E gun to “launch a trap of proximity mines. When triggered, the mines will release a swarm of nano drones that kill nearby enemies.”

If you’re the type that likes to customize your gear, you won’t be disappointed by the upcoming Season. Not only are new weapon skins being released, but there a few fresh designs for grenades and vehicles too.

A whole range of new character skins have been leaked, from a stylish Valentine skin for Erin “Battery” Baker, to various new camouflage skins for several characters.

Two more skins will also be available to players as Battle Pass Rewards during Season 3: the Phantom, and FTL1.

Origin PC’s “Big O” Looks to Combine PC and Console GamingRobert WorkmanMon, 01/06/2020 - 16:17

The Consumer Electronics Show is taking place this week in Las Vegas, and Origin—the custom computer company, not to be confused with EA's gaming storefront and launcher—is wasting no time in showing its dominance on the gaming front.

The company has announced its newest PC hardware, the “Big O” 2020 Edition. This ultra-sized PC has a nice little bonus for those that want to get some extra gaming in—hardware based around one of their favorite consoles.

“Big O” comes with a Crystal Series 280X Micro-ATX chassis that includes PC components that are wide open for customization. There are different CPUs available to choose from (both AMD and Intel), along with various storage options (anywhere between 2TB and 4TB SSD).

As for that console component, you can install either the Xbox One S from Microsoft or Sony’s PlayStation 4 into the unit, utilizing Origin’s liquid-cooling system. Players can switch between console and PC with no problem.

That said, some may wonder why the next-generation of consoles, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, aren’t being implemented into the hardware. Keep in mind, however, this might be an option in the future, depending on configuration.

Origin’s “Big O” hardware also makes it easy to stream. Elgato will install a 4K60 Capture Card right into the system, so that players can set up their broadcasts with relative ease.

The trailer provides a good look at what the hardware’s all about. It’s a bit on the thick side, but probably the most convenient way to go if you want to enjoy both PC and console gaming. (There is room for both, you know.)

The “Big O” is set to start at $2,499.

Warframe's Space Mom Stepped in to Save... Cayde-6?Aidan O'BrienMon, 01/06/2020 - 16:34

One of the best things about Warframe is the Clan Dojo. These sprawling bases can house labs, gardens, trading stations, and everything else a space ninja needs to succeed in life.

They can also be home to some awe-inspiring creations. The Clan Dojo can be decorated with all kinds of different objects, and different players have found ways to arrange them and create incredible sculptures in the game.

(As a heads up, if you have never played Destiny 2, there are some story spoilers ahead.)

Cayde-6. I'm rearranging my dojo and this unfinished Cayde project is in one of the far reaching rooms and will be demolished soon ;-; from r/Warframe

One player, Redditor valtristk, decided to pay tribute to one of Destiny 2's fallen heroes, Cayde-6. They painstakingly arranged different objects that you can create in the Dojo to make a fantastic looking bust of the quick-witted Hunter. While the project is unfinished, it already looks terrific.

Unfortunately, these projects take up space and potential inventory room for other things that you might want in your Dojo. Valtriskt posted the image on Reddit for us to see, saying he would need to demolish the project soon.

That is when Rebecca Ford, Live Operations and Community Director, stepped in. Affectionately known as "Space Mom" within the community due to her voice work as the Lotus in the game, she offered a potential solution in a reply. "He may not have to be destroyed," she said. "Give me your clan name, and we will copy the Dojo to Test to preserve this masterpiece forever."

So, while Bungie couldn't save Cayde-6 from his fate, it looks like Digital Extremes might be able to stop him from perishing a second time.

Etsy Artist Creates Beautiful Medallions Based on Pokémon Sword and ShieldMisael DuranMon, 01/06/2020 - 17:13

A childhood dream that we all share is to actually be a Pokémon trainer in the real world. Unfortunately, reality prevents us from achieving that ambition. In order to fill the void, fans of the Pokémon franchise go to great lengths to get as close as they possibly can to achieving this long held desire.

Though we can’t actually go to random Gyms and challenge Gym Leaders, we can at least collect merchandise and medallions that look like the badges from the show and games. (We personally have all eight original badges from the first season of the Pokémon anime.)

Andrew Howat, who goes by the seller name Chompworks on Etsy, the e-commerce site that specializes with vintage and handmade items and jewelry, has a new product inspired by the Galar Medallion in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Chompworks is now selling a replica of that Medallion, which is printed in resin and hand painted. Customers can choose between a Sword or Shield version.

In Sword and Shield, Gym leaders will give players a single piece of a whole medallion. Each piece is based on the leaders of the Galar region. Gaining all eight pieces will complete the medallion, granting you access to the Pokémon League.

Sword and Shield each have their own medallion, as each game had two exclusive Gym Leaders. The difference is reflected on the Medallion, as two of the pieces are different based on the version of the Medallion you want.

Getting one Medallion will cost £15; getting both will be £25. Note, though, that supplies are low.

Now with this new Galar Medallion, we could all get a little bit closer to becoming real Pokémon trainers, just like in the games and show.

AMD reveals Xbox Series X Ports, includes two HDMIs & USB-C, Ethernet and Digital AudioSam O'HaraMon, 01/06/2020 - 18:08

Hardware manufacturer AMD has revealed the ports and the back panel of the upcoming next-generation Xbox from Microsoft, the Series X, and it’s going to look fairly similar to that of the current Xbox One.

The new system, which has a case that is more reminiscent of a tower used for PCs, will comprise of two HDMI ports (HDMI 2.1 to support 8K), two USB-C ports, an Ethernet socket and an S/PDIF port, more commonly referred to as an optical or digital audio port. The reveal was made during AMD’s keynote presentation, where they revealed a number of new products that they have been working on, including a new series of mobile processors with the Ryzen 4000 series, and the RX 5000 series Radeon graphics cards.

They also included some promotional information on the new consoles as the manufacturer of the hardware. While no new hard data about the power behind the console was shown, it did reveal the back of the system, which a number of eagle-eyed viewers discovered.

The reveal poses questions as to what the purpose of the second HDMI port is used on the system. The Xbox One also used two HDMI ports, with one port used as an HDMI IN that allows users who have cable boxes to play the content through their Xbox, allowing some enhanced features.

It’s unclear if the new console will support the same technology or if it will support two HDMI OUT ports for streaming, recording or even playing on two TV or monitors. It’s also unknown if Microsoft will begin support for HDMI-CEC (used for sending TV signals through the Xbox) or HDMI-ARC (for high-quality audio transfer) given the difficulty with the technology to implement.

However, it does also appear to have dropped the Infrared sensor port, which might strengthen the idea that it’s another HDMI OUT. With no markings on the promo, it’s currently impossible to tell at this time. The Series X also looks to have dropped a proprietary camera port for the system as there is nothing replacing the Kinect port.

Warframe - How To Get Hexenon

In Warframe, you will need Hexenon if you want to build some of the new weapons that were introduced in the Jovian Concord update. The Fulmin, Komorex, and Cyanex all require Hexenon to build. You will also need it to build the new Warframe, Wisp

How To Get Hexenon

Hexenon

Hexenon can be found by killing enemies, opening loot containers, and destroying extractor drones on Jupiter. It can also be earned from playing the Disruption game mode.

The best places to farm Hexenon are the Cameria and Sinai nodes on Jupiter. They have an increased resource drop rate, as they are Dark Sector missions.

Dark Sector missions will also switch the enemy type from Corpus to Infested. These are some of the easiest missions for long farming sessions, due to the lack of Nullifiers, but you still need to watch out Disruptors. Cameria is a Survival mission, so the group farming method will work well here. You can find a spot on the map with one entrance, then stay there and all the Infested will come to you. Running a team with a Nekros will allow you to use his Desecrate ability to re-roll the loot tables of dead enemies, increasing the number of Plastids you will get.

You can also run Warframes like Hydroid with Pilfering Swarm, or Khora with Pilfering Stangledome to increase your loot drops. It is a good idea to have one person bring a stealth Frame so that they can leave the room you use a base and get the life support capsules without dragging away any enemies.

For these missions, it is a good idea to farm for as long as possible. Every five-minute rotation will give you an improved percentage chance buff, and some of these affect resource drops. Plastids also have a good chance of dropping from lockers and containers, so make sure you open everything you find.

If you wish to play Disruption missions, then Hexenon will drop from Amalgam enemies that will spawn throughout the mission.

How to Get the Six Flames of Fate in Sea of Thieves

The Fort of the Damned is a massive raid in Sea of Thieves. You and a full crew are interested in tackling the most challenging fort in the game. However, you can't find it on the map and enter it. You need to do several tasks to activate it. The first thing to do is to acquire six Flames of Fate, which you can get when you die. You need to die in a specific way for each flame, though.

Obtaining The Six Flames of Fate

Each flame of fate is different. To have the flame of fate activate in the afterlife. These are the six flames:

  • Red Flame - Flame of Fire, dying to flames
  • Pink Flame - Flame of Pirates, dying to a player
  • Green Flame - Flame of Skellies, dying to skeletons
  • White Flame - Flame of Lightning, dying to a lightning strike
  • Blue Flame - Flame of Sharks, dying to sharks
  • Purple Flame - Flame of Snakes, dying to a snake

The hardest flames are the Pirate and Lightning. The other flames are pretty easy to acquire, and you may even obtain them during your travels in grabbing the two hardest flames. To earn the Flame of Pirates, you need to perish to an enemy player, and the Flame of Lightning is given to you if you die to a lightning strike. You may want to grab the lightning strike first because if it takes a while for someone on your crew to die to a lightning strike, you might lose your ship during a terrible storm. When that happens, and you have the other five flames, that could demoralize everyone pretty fast because you need to start over.

The other four, Flame of Fire, Pirates, Sharks, and Snakes, are something you can visit one of the many islands in Sea of Thieves to add to your collection. If you're having trouble locating sharks, you may want to visit any notable shipwrecks you encounter during your travels. They frequent these locations and others, such as Megalodon and naval battles. You want to avoid searching for them in calm waters, though.

Adding the Flame of Fate to Your Lantern

When you die and spawn in on the Ferry of the Damned, take your lantern out of your inventory and unlight it. Approach the Well of Fate at the center of the Ferry of the Damned and accept the Flame of Fate. Your lantern should now be the color of the task you completed. When you return to your ship, choose one of the lamps on your ship to extinguish and place your new flame there. You need your boat to carry all six Flames of Fate.

Those who grab the more difficult tasks, such as for the Pink and White flame, may choose not to do the other tasks because exchanging flames removes them from the character's lanterns. The flames remain the same color even if you put the lantern away in your inventory. You won't be able to relight them on your ship if any lamps go out. You're better off having other crew members take care of the smaller tasks.

When your ship contains all six of the Flames of Fate inside of the lamps, you're ready to go looking for the Ritual Skull.
