Sony Hosting Month-Long Experience PlayStation Event In New YorkRobert WorkmanMon, 01/13/2020 - 22:36

Although Sony isn’t attending E3 this year, it has its own events moving right along into 2020. And it begins with a month-long one kicking off this month in New York City.

“Experience PlayStation” is set to take place in the Sony Square space. During this time, attendees will be able to stop by between 12:00PM and 7:00PM EDT each day to experience events revolving around “25 Years of Play” for the PlayStation brand.

Though the company didn’t reveal any schedule with the event, seen below, it does include “a collection of titles on PS4 and PSVR.” More than likely, it’s an anniversary style event with games that are already out, as there’s no mention of new content from 2020 releases like The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima.

PlayStation Event

The details — and the image — come from Sony’s page, which notes that the event is, for the most part, a way to pay tribute to PlayStation’s legacy. But there’s one thing to take note of — when it ends.

Experience PlayStation (not to be confused with PlayStation Experience, by the way), is set to end around Feb. 14. And there have been rumors that Sony would host a presentation for the PlayStation 5 sometime in February. Nothing’s confirmed, but keep in mind that the company hosted an event for the PlayStation 4 back in February 2013 — in New York City. Check out the replay below if you’re feeling nostalgic.

For now, those interested in attending and seeing what Sony has to offer definitely make some time to stop by Sony Square. Check out this link for directions on how to stop by.

Phil Spencer: Fans Are Amazing Part of E3, Respecting and Talking With Them Is a Special Part of the ShowRobert WorkmanTue, 01/14/2020 - 01:34

There’s been a lot of news today surrounding Sony’s departure from the Electronic Entertainment Expo for the second year in a row. As a result, some industry specialists and fans consider it a death knell for the show since the company behind the PlayStation 5 won’t be present. However, Phil Spencer doesn’t believe this is the case.

The head of Xbox came out in defense of the show today on Twitter, stating there was still something special about this year’s event.

In his first tweet, Spencer noted, “Our team is hard at work on E3, we look forward to sharing with all who love to play what's ahead for us. Our artform has consistently been propelled by the cross-section of creativity and technical progress. 2020 is a milestone year in that journey for Team Xbox. #XboxE3 #E32020”

After a fan named Timdog thanked Spencer and the Xbox brand over “caring for the fans,” Spencer spoke a little further, taking a slight shot at Sony in the process.

“The fans are an amazing part of E3 every year for me and the team,” he added. “Respecting and talking with the fans is such special part of the show each year.”

Now the real question is to what capacity Microsoft will take part in the event. Last year, it held an event off-site at the Microsoft Theater, where it showcased its Xbox One games and held its press conference. It did have a presence on the show floor with its Mixer booth, but that was really about it.

Spencer didn’t elaborate on the company’s plans for this year’s event, but he’s bound to have details lined up closer to when it happens.

Now all that’s left to hear is what Nintendo has in store. But considering it supported E3 after Sony backed out in 2019, it’ll more than likely return with its live Treehouse broadcasts and a handful of Nintendo Switch demos.

E3 2020 is set to take place from June 9-11 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Escape from Tarkov PC System Requirements

Escape from Tarkov is all the rage right now in the gaming world, garnering tons of new players each day. The looter shooter by Battlestate Games is a refreshing new take on the FPS genre and is grabbing many player's attention.

As with any PC title, new players want to know if their rig has the right hardware to run Escape from Tarkov properly. The game isn't featured on Steam or Epic Games, so the system requirements aren't as accessible as other titles.

However, we happen to have the PC system requirements for Escape from Tarkov. So let's go over the minimum and recommended hardware, and you can figure out if your PC is fit to run the game.

Minimum system requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo, i3 2.4 GHz | AMD Athlon, Phenom II 2.6 GHz
  • RAM: 6 GB RAM
  • HDD: 8 GB available space
  • GPU: DX9 compatible graphics card with 1 GB memory
  • OS: Windows 7 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 10 64 Bit
  • Screen Resolution: 800×600 or better
  • Network: Permanent Broadband Internet connection

Recommended system requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core i5/ i7 3.2 GHz | AMD Athlon/Phenom II 3.6 GHz
  • RAM: 6 GB RAM
  • HDD: 8 GB available space
  • GPU: DX11 compatible graphics card with 2 GB or more of memory

EFT

For the similarities of both lists, the OS, Screen Resolution, and Network settings are the same. You also need at least 8 GB of space on your hard drive/solid-state drive to download Escape from Tarkov

In terms of the minimum requirements, this is the absolute bottom of the barrel. If you have the minimum hardware, you can run Escape from Tarkov, but you'll need to turn down every setting to its lowest value.

As for the recommended requirements, the listed pieces of hardware seem a little lower than what is needed to run the game smoothly. Some of the dense areas in Escape from Tarkov put a strain on top-notch rigs.

With that said, if you want to run Escape from Tarkov on high settings with a smooth 60 FPS, you'll need some better hardware than what's indicated for the recommended requirements. We suggest having at least 8 GB of RAM, preferably 16 GB, and a video card with over 4 GB of VRAM. While it might not give you over 100 FPS consistently, you won't see your frames dip below 40-45 too often.

Sony Reportedly Skipping E3 2020 Due to "Disagreement" and "Conflict" with ESAPaolo SirioTue, 01/14/2020 - 05:39

ESA has issued an official statement about Sony skipping E3 2020, missing one of the biggest video games trade shows for the second year in a row.

The Entertainment Software Association, responsible for the organization of the Electronic Entertainment Expo, has shared a note where it remarks its plans for making E3 2020 "an exciting, high-energy show featuring new experiences, partners, exhibitor spaces, activations, and programming."

Curiously, it never mentions Sony nor PlayStation directly. However, the Japanese platform owner has made E3 and ESA's names in its statement, where it underlined that it has "great respect" for both the event and the organization, which it still is a part.

"E3 is a signature event celebrating the video game industry and showcasing the people, brands, and innovations redefining entertainment loved by billions of people around the world," said ESA. "E3 2020 will be an exciting, high-energy show featuring new experiences, partners, exhibitor spaces, activations, and programming that will entertain new and veteran attendees alike."

Members of the press, in particular, Kotaku's Jason Schreier, have pointed out over the last few hours that the event has lost interest every year. ESA reiterates that "exhibitor interest in our new activations is gaining the attention of brands that view E3 as a key opportunity to connect with video game fans worldwide."

Schreier also reported some "tidbits" he heard of about last year's reveal that Sony would not attend E3, which he thinks are still relevant for the 2020 edition.

"One juicy tidbit I heard last year was that Sony's main reason for skipping E3 was disagreement/tension/conflict with the ESA, which is likely the driving factor here as well."

If you look at the numbers, this position is not hard to comprehend. E3 2019 only managed to attract around 66,000 entries while other similar shows around the world are more significant. Gamescom had approximately 373,000 attendees last year, and Tokyo Game Show 2019 was 262,000 entries strong, as per data gathered by analyst Daniel Ahmad.

Microsoft didn't miss the opportunity to state, a few hours after Sony's announcement that it would be skipping the event, that it is still fully committed to E3 2020. They look forward to attending it with its usual press conference, which will serve as the occasion for revealing more details about next-gen Xbox Series X.

PlayStation's strategy for the full reveal of PS5 has yet to be determined, instead, as rumors hint at a February private event that, similarly to 2013's PlayStation Meeting for PS4, should disclose details like the design of the console and DualShock 5.

Halo TV Series First Image Reveals Master Chief "Looks Fantastic"Paolo SirioTue, 01/14/2020 - 05:56

Showtime has revealed the first image of Master Chief as depicted in the incoming Halo TV series. Unfortunately, the image has not been made public as it was shared as a part of the Television Critics Association winter press tour, IGN reports.

Despite this image being behind-closed-doors exclusive, we do have some details shared by those who attended the press tour. First, impressions about Pablo Schreiber's Master Chief and his iconic armor are said to be positive.

Showtime's President of Entertainment Gary Levine has "assured everyone that Schreiber was indeed the man behind the Chief's helmet in the costume rather than a stuntman," which is still likely to happen during filming, however.

As for the photo, attendees could see Master Chief "seated alone on a ship." Fans of Microsoft's saga will be happy to learn that "everything from Schreiber's detailed costume to the inside of the vessel feels very authentic" to the source material, and that Chief himself "looks fantastic."

The protagonist is described as "Earth's most advanced warrior in the 26th century, and the only hope of salvation for a civilization pushed to the brink of destruction by the Covenant." Still, we shouldn't see him in action before the first quarter of 2021. The production is currently "well underway" in Budapest, Hungary.

Schreiber, who is known for his roles in American Gods and Orange is the New Black, has been appointed in early 2019 for the job, and other iconic characters like Cortana have already found actors and actresses who will be portraying them on the screen.

At the time being, we do not have any information about when or if this image will be made public, nor if there is any chance that a trailer could drop anytime soon.

A new game in the franchise, Halo Infinite, has been announced at E3 2018. It received a second trailer, called "Discover Hope," at E3 last year.

The game is scheduled for a Holiday 2020 release date, which will make it an Xbox Series X launch title.

A Danish retailer may have leaked the release date of Xenoblade Chronicles on SwitchAidan O'BrienTue, 01/14/2020 - 06:15

Danish retailer Cool Shop may have just leaked the release date for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch. A listing for the game appeared on the website with a release date of May 29.

Nothing has been officially announced by Nintendo, and it is expected that further information about the game will be coming at the next Nintendo Direct.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Listing

Xenoblade Chronicles initially released for the Wii in 2010, but didn't make its way to North America until 2012. The remastered Switch version was announced last year, which instantly got fans interested. Xenoblade Chronicles was a huge success for developers Monolith Games and was followed up with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for the Switch in 2017.

It should be noted, dates for unreleased games appear online in this manner all the time and may not necessarily be accurate. The date may change in the future, or the date used by the retailer may have just been a filler, not based on any official information from the developers or publishers.

A date of May 29 would make some sense, though, as it would avoid clashing with the release of the much-anticipated Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which is due out March 20.

While the date would help the game to avoid some very stacked looking release windows in March and April, it would still end up competing with titles like The Last of Us 2, Marvel's Avengers, and New World that all release in May.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Day One Updates Weighing In at Over 11GBPaolo SirioTue, 01/14/2020 - 06:31

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will reportedly release complete with two patches to be downloaded upon day one, as shared by Twisted Voxel

The game is coming with updates 1.01 and 1.02, which are set to introduce gameplay content and improvements that will help players have a better experience. We also have changelogs for both the patches, so we can look more deeply into them:

Version 1.01

  • System features related to bonuses

Version 1.02

  • Improved loading times
  • Made it possible to travel directly to Korin Tower Summit and Capsule Corporation from the World Map
  • Added sub stories
  • Adjusted the entry fee of the Time Attacks (advanced)
  • Made other adjustments

Among the improvements, we can find better loading times compared with the previous versions, adjusted entry fee of the Time Attacks (advanced), and a fix for fast travel, while newly added content feature unprecise "sub-stories."

While improvements are always welcome, users will perhaps be a bit disappointed at learning how big these patches will be. Downloading them will require over 11GB on PlayStation 4, around one fourth the size of the full game - according to Microsoft Store, it's 38.44GB on Xbox One.

As for the size of the full game, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be rather significant compared with other video games inspired by the appreciated manga and anime franchise. It's an open-world RPG, and also featuring stories not told in the source material.

Should you be interested in purchasing the game, you're still in time to pre-order it as the launch date is slated for Jan. 17, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Today is your last chance to get your hands on an exclusive Gigantamax Meowth in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

The special Pokémon is a reward for players who pre-ordered the game, or who purchased the game between the game's release and Jan. 15. With just one day left to go, you will need to need to buy into the game before tomorrow to get it.

If you have already purchased the game but haven't claimed your Gigantamax Meowth yet, getting it is straightforward. To get this Meowth via Mystery Gift, you’ll have to be connected to the internet and select "Mystery Gift" from the game’s pause menu. Mystery Gift should become accessible from the pause menu shortly after you get through the Slumbering Weald section near the beginning of the game.

Once you have access to Mystery Gift, you should be able to receive Gigantamax Meowth via the internet. For a more in-depth look on how Mystery Gift works, check out our guide here. Your game should receive the special Meowth that can Gigantamax, which can immediately be placed either in your party or a box.

While Gigantamax Meowth might not be a Pokémon that you use for long, it can be very useful in the early game and could be your only Pokémon capable of using the Gigantamax feature for a while.

If you have played Let's Go Pikachu or Let's Go Eevee, you will also be able to get Gigantamax versions of those Pokémon in the early game as well. You'll then be able to swap them in and out of your party and level them up as you see fit.

A lucky CDPR employee is getting a Cyberpunk 2077 guitar signed by Keanu ReevesAidan O'BrienTue, 01/14/2020 - 07:10

CD Projekt Red likes to celebrate milestone anniversaries for its staff, and for some, that means swag in the form of a guitar signed by Johnny Silverhand himself, Keanu Reeves.

The developer of The Witcher series and the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 took to Twitter to show off the presents it will be giving to staff members who are hitting 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years with the company. Twenty-five years—essentially dedicating your working life to one company—is a long time, so you better believe the gift for that one is very special.

The studio showed off pictures of two guitars, a fantastic looking custom jacket, and a black case that says "Killing it since 2009." The custom jacket bears the logo for the fictional band Samurai, fronted by Keanu Reeve's character Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. For 25 years with the company, a lucky employee will get a replica of Johnny Silverhand's guitar, signed by Reeves.

Such gifts and distractions will be a welcome break for employees at the company, as they approach the release of Cyberpunk 2077 on Apr. 16. The game will be the company's first major release since the enormous success of The Witcher 3 in 2015. The anticipation for the game, which is based on Mike Pondsmith's tabletop RPG, is considerable, and it is easily the biggest release of the year.

Keanu Reeves got a taste of the hype when he took to the stage at E3 2019 to announce his involvement with the game and reveal that he is playing the character of Johnny Silverhand in the game. Hopefully, a guitar signed by the man himself can sooth any troubles a certain long-serving employee might be feeling in the run-up to a make-or-break moment for the studio.

New Temtem trailer shows off co-op, multiplayer features, hints at endgameAidan O'BrienTue, 01/14/2020 - 08:14

Temtem, the upcoming collect-em-all game from Crema Games, has gotten a new trailer on the Humble Bundle YouTube channel. The trailer highlights the soon-to-be early access game's cooperative, multiplayer, and social features.

You can play through the entire campaign with a friend in co-op mode, which is excellent news for people who have always wanted to do this in similar games. You will also be able to play sessions with random players you meet in the world, so if you keep seeing the same person in town, you might as well ask them to join you for a while.

Temtem are tradable with other players, so if you are having trouble finding an illusive Temtem, the community can help you out. You will be able to battle with other players, set up clubs, and complete weekly challenges to help defeat Clan Belsoda, the game's antagonists.

As you explore the world and open up new Islands to journey to, you will also be able to earn new cosmetics that are exclusive to those islands.

The trailer also hints at endgame challenges that will be arriving in a future update, but there were no real hints about what those might be. For now, we can assume there will be some kind of Raid mechanic coming to the game in the future.

Temtem will enter early access on Steam on Jan. 21.

Taiwanese game rating board listing suggests Bioshock: The Collection could come to SwitchSam O'HaraTue, 01/14/2020 - 08:41

The Bioshock trilogy, in the form of Bioshock: The Collection, has received a rating from the Taiwanese game rating board for a Nintendo Switch release, meaning we could be about to experience Big Daddy slaying on the go.

The entry with the board, which was expanded upon by Twitter gaming reporter Nibel, shows entries for the game’s previous releases, as well as new entries that have been handed to the Switch version. The game for Switch, like the rest of the releases in the series, has received an R rating. No release date was listed.

The remastered set, which includes the upgraded versions of Bioshock and Bioshock: Infinite from creator Irrational Games, along with Bioshock 2 from 2K Marin, was released for the current generation of consoles in 2016. While the upgrades were minor, mainly to allow modern systems to play them at a more pleasing frame rate and resolution, the three games themselves are still fantastic, and each one is worth playing in its own right.

Fitting all three games onto one Switch cartridge would be a tall order. The digital version of the game on PS4 is about 60GB in size, so it could be a similar situation to L.A. Noire, where an SD card is going to be required to play.

Metro Redux for Switch listed for February release by French retailerSam O'HaraTue, 01/14/2020 - 09:06

French retailer World Trade & Technologies has listed a Switch version of A4 Games Russian survival horror Metro in the form of Metro Redux for sale shortly, with a release date and recommended retail price included.

The listing states that the game is due on Feb. 28, and with a retail price on the release of €49.99, which would convert to approximately $55. The listing also includes information on the releases, including reworked graphics, improved AI, and enhanced combat.

The Metro Redux set includes copies of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, with the former based off Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky's book of the same name. Metro 2033 Redux also comes with several engine upgrades that weren’t present on the original release to bring its fidelity on par with its sequel in Last Light. The games are excellent, atmospheric adventures that rely on being smart with your resources.

The games' success led to a further sequel that released last year with Metro Exodus. It caught some attention from the PC gaming community after it was announced that the game would be an Epic Game Store exclusive despite already opening up the game to Steam pre-orders

However, the first two games were somewhat notorious for their poor optimisation, which led to low frame rates in most situations. While the Redux release of the two games improved some of the technical issues, the lessened power of the Switch could make playing the game at a stable frame rate challenging to achieve.

While there have previously been rumors of a Switch release for the two games, no official word has been given by publisher Koch Media.

Marvel's Avengers game release pushed to Sept. 4, citing further polish and fine-tuningZack PalmTue, 01/14/2020 - 09:14

Marvel's Avengers, the action-adventure game developed by Crystal Dynamics, is being delayed until Sept. 4. The game was originally set to release May 15.

The announcement came in a statement this morning by Crystal Dynamics' co-heads Scot Amos and Ron Rosenberg. "When we set out to bring you our vision for Marvel’s Avengers, we committed to delivering an original story-driven campaign, engaging co-op, and compelling content for years to come," the statement read. "To that end, we will spend this additional development time focusing on fine tuning and polishing the game to the high standards our fans expect and deserve."

The game was first announced in through Marvel Entertainment's YouTube channel in January 2017, but it gave no specifics on what was being worked on. After 2 years, Square stepped forward during E3 2019 and shared more details about the game. They showed off an in-game trailer detailing the current story, and then featured 14 minutes of early gameplay that included some of the customization, abilities, multiplayer, and the characters we'd see in the game.

The game features Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Ms. Marvel, and Captain America. Other characters are set to be available through DLC, including the Hank Pym Ant-Man and Hawkeye, with more on the way.

We do not have any further details on what the team at Crystal Dynamics are prioritizing, but we can expect to hear more about their progress during the summer.

Marvel's Avengers releases for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia on Sept. 4.

Sakurai to announce next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter this ThursdayAidan O'BrienTue, 01/14/2020 - 09:18

After what feels like a long wait, this Thursday Nintendo will finally lift the lid on who the next fighter introduced to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be.

On Jan. 16, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakura will host a 35-minute livestream featuring a detailed look at the upcoming fifth DLC fighter. The livestream will take place at 6 am PST and will be available to watch on the various Nintendo Youtube channels.

At the moment, nobody knows who the new character might be, although rumor and speculation are rife. Brian Hanford, the voice of V in Devil May Cry 5, recently hinted that Dante would be coming to the game

During a podcast, he spoke about how he would love to V to end up in the game but understands that as a newer character, this may not happen for a while, if ever. He then went on to say, “To be part of Marvel vs. Capcom or Super Smash Bros. would be huge, which is what Dante is going to be.” So, that may have been him letting the cat out of the bag.

Dante would make a lot of sense for the game, with his flamboyant combat style and built-in moveset. Visually, he would also translate exceptionally well to the game's graphical style and design choices.

Final Fantasy VII Remake delayed to April 10, putting it head-to-head against other major releasesSam O'HaraTue, 01/14/2020 - 09:23

The upcoming release of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake has been officially delayed, with a new release date of April 10. The game was originally set for release on March 3.

The new date means it will face stiff competition for gamers' money, with Resident Evil 3's remake and Cyberpunk 2077 releasing just one week before and after Final Fantasy VII, respectively.

The news comes following a tweet from the official Twitter page for the game.

"In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10, 2020," Square Enix said in a press release given to Gamepur.

Square Enix has been ramping up its marketing for the game over the past year or so, as it finally began to take shape. The post does not make reference to the reason behind the delay, aside from wanting to ensure that the game is as high quality as possible.

The game is set to be the first in a series of remade games based on the original Final Fantasy VII release in 1997, with the first part set to take place exclusively within the industrial city of Midgar.

While it’s been unclear as to how the rest of the game will be split, Square Enix and the game’s producer, Yoshinori Kitase, have stressed that the remake series is an expansion of the original game, with more stories to tell and quests to complete within each section.

Where to Get Pokémon Sword and Shield's Expansion Pass for Cheap

The surprising news of an expansion pass for Pokémon Sword and Shielddropped last week, which will cover two DLC areas and over 200 new Pokémon that will be added to the game. The paid expansion pass was met with rapture by some fans, and a cold-shoulder from others as people disagreed about the business model.

The DLC will introduce two new areas, the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra, along with hundreds of new Pokémon for you to catch and add to your collection. Priced at $29.99 in America, and £26.99 in the UK, not everyone is a fan of having to pay that price. The good news is that some retailers will be selling it a little cheaper.

In the UK, CD Keys are selling the expansion pass for £21.49, while in North America, Instant Gaming is selling it for $28.38. While the savings are not enormous, any little extra money you can save is always a good thing. This is even more important if you own a copy of both Sword and Shield, as if you want to play the expansion pass content with both games, you will need to buy it twice. Other retailers will almost certainly be selling the expansion pass at a reduced price, so make sure you shop around before purchasing it.

When you go about ordering the expansion pass, make sure you are ordering the correct version for the game that you own. According to Nintendo, there are two different expansion passes, one for each game. If you don't have the games yet, you will be able to buy special bundles from the Nintendo eShop that will include the game of your choice and the relevant expansion pass.

Where to Find Evergreen Huckleberry in Red Dead Redemption 2

Plants play an essential role in Red Dead Redemption 2. You have the option to sell them when you return to town, but you can also use them to create potent pieces of equipment or to heal your main character. A useful plant resource you'll want to locate is Evergreen Huckleberry.

You can find it in two locations that close together in the game:

  • To the northwest of Saint Denis
  • To the southwest of Saint Denis
  • The middle of the Kamassa River
  • Bluewater MarshEvergreen Huckleberry Locations in Red Dead Redemption 2

You can search all over the Kamassa River to find it, but these are some of the more notable locations. You can try sticking close to Saint Denis if you want to remain close to town, however, venturing out of it may provide you with the most success.

Make sure to run along the waterway with your horse to pick up all of these locations. If you want, you can start at the north of Bluewater Marsh and then work your way down toward Saint Denis.

You might find it useful to keep a little bit of this plant on you at all times. When your character consumes it, they recover some of their health core, which is always a good thing to have available to you. Otherwise, you want to use it to make Predator Bait or Potent Predator Bait.

Where to Find Prosecutors in Warframe

Prosecutors in Warframe are an Elite enemy variant of the Guardsman that can be found on the Grineer Shipyards tileset on Ceres. They look like ordinary Guardsmen, but have been augmented by Councilor Vay Hek, and are more dangerous than their allies. They will typically spawn into Shipyard levels after an alarm has been raised. You can find Grineer Shipyard missions on the following nodes on Ceres:

  • Bode - Spy
  • Casta - Defense
  • Cinxia - Interception
  • Ker - Sabotage
  • Kiste - Mobile Defense
  • Lex - Capture
  • Ludi - Hijack
  • Pallas - Exterminate
  • Seimeni - Dark Sector Defense

We have found Lex, the Capture mission to be a great place to try and farm Guardsmen and Prosecutors if you are hunting them for Cephalon Simaris. When the alarm goes off, kill as many Guardsmen as possible until the Prosecutors start to show up.

There are four types of Prosecutors that do different types of damage. Heat, Cold, Toxin, and Electric variants can spawn, and they can only be damaged by their corresponding element types. As well as their damage resistance, they buff surrounding enemies with the same effect. All Prosecutors are also vulnerable to Slash damage, although not the same degree as the correct elemental damage.

Prosecutors have powerful melee abilities and can block your attacks and stun you. To ensure you are equipped to take them out, bring weapons that do plenty of Slash damage, rather than worrying too much about the random nature of which elemental variant will spawn. Just mod your weapons to have strong base damage and emphasize the Slash damage in the build, and you should have no problem taking out these enemies.

If you wish to run Excalibur or Inaros, you can use Radial Blind and Desiccation to open the Prosecutors to finisher attacks.

Epic Games Store reports big sales and consumer numbers, will continue game giveaways through 2020Robert WorkmanTue, 01/14/2020 - 10:57

Within the 13 months that it’s been open, the Epic Games Store has become one of the biggest dealers in the PC gaming market.

This morning, the publisher behind the digital storefront reported some impressive sales numbers. According to GamesIndustry International, it has earned $680 million from spending across 108 million PC consumers.

A good portion of that is attributed to third-party PC games. $251 million alone has been spent by players picking up games from companies such as Ubisoft, Rockstar Games, and Electronic Arts, with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Ordergetting an exclusive offer for a Stormtrooper skin in Fortnite.

One big part of Epic Games’ success is its returning customers. Many came through on Epic’s promise to give away free games on a weekly basis. It’s still doing that, with the Metroidvania indie Sundered currently available at no charge through Jan. 16

Customers won’t have to worry about this promotion going away anytime, as the publisher confirmed it will continue throughout the remainder of 2020. Considering that it’s already given away 73 games thus far, it won’t be too long before it reaches the 100-game mark.

Another big part of Epic Games Store’s success is big exclusives. Games like World War Z, Untitled Goose Game, The Outer Worlds, Borderlands 3, Metro Exodus, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, and Control have added greatly to the storefront’s exclusivity. However, Epic didn’t disclose which of these were among the best-sellers on its list.

In just a short amount of time, Epic Games Store has become a huge power player in the PC gaming market. And based on how it’s making moves and bringing in games you can’t get anywhere else — not to mention the freebies —  that’s likely to continue for some time.
