Resident Evil 3's latest trailer focuses on a very angry NemesisRobert WorkmanTue, 01/14/2020 - 11:20

The Nemesis is back, and boy, is he angry.

A new cinematic trailer for Resident Evil 3’s remake has dropped, revealing a very hungry pursuer that will stop at nothing to get his clutches on Jill Valentine.

The trailer features a number of characters included in the upcoming remake. including a closer look at Carlos Oliveira, the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.) agent who saves Jill and, later, becomes her partner.

We also get to meet other members of his team, who aren’t exactly thrilled to see her joining the ranks. This includes Brad Vickers, who was a survivor from the original mansion incident that was covered in the first Resident Evil.

Mainly, though, the trailer’s focus is on Nemesis, who hunts down Jill with a vengeance. He utilizes a flamethrower to quite good effect, and also brings along his laser-guided rocket launcher. Jill tries to stop it multiple times — at one point, even ramming it with a car — but Nemesis just keeps getting back up for more.

Related: Resident Evil 3 will not have multiple endings or QTE, but Carlos will be playable

The trailer also features a first glimpse at the redesigned Hunter, and, needless to say, it’s highly effective. Capcom notes that it’s “an incredibly fast and powerful adversary.” Though we haven’t seen it do too much just yet, it clearly wouldn’t hurt to save up your ammo.

Resident Evil 3’s newest game footage looks fantastic, as it promises to be just as good-looking a release as last year’s Resident Evil 2. We’ll hold judgment until the final game arrives, but Capcom seems to have something special here.

Resident Evil 3 drops on April 3 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and it brings its new multiplayer game Project Resistance along with it.

Skies of Arcadia dev still wants a sequel, just like the rest of usRobert WorkmanTue, 01/14/2020 - 11:46

While there are a number of legendary role-playing games out there that deserve another chance in the spotlight, Skies of Arcadia is one that definitely springs to mind.

The game initially released for the Sega Dreamcast, introducing a number of great characters and a sweeping storyline involving Vyse and his fellow air pirates as they attempt to find mythical Moon Crystals. Twenty years after its initial release, one of its developers, Kenji Hiruta, who worked as a programmer on the game for Overworks, spoke up about wanting a sequel, asking fans to help him in spreading the word about it.

He began earlier this week, when he shared the following hand-drawn image on Twitter, along with the note, “After 20 years, we can still see the new art of it.”

He followed up with another tweet, acknowledging the support from fans and even offering a custom art design as a giveaway to those who spread the word about the game.

His plan is to generate enough interest in the RPG that Sega will take interest in it again. “I really, really want to develop the sequel,” he wrote. And we know a lot of folks — several of us included — that would love to see it.

Sega has changed quite a bit since then, but it’s also shown that it still cares for its classic game library. Its Sega Genesis games not only saw a digital collection, but also the physical Sega Genesis Mini system. The Shenmue games also recently got a re-release, which did rather well alongside Yu Suzuki’s third chapter in the series, which came out last year under Deep Silver.

There is some hope, particularly with teases surrounding a re-release of the first Skies of Arcadia, which would be its first since it last came out on GameCube back in 2003. But so far, nothing’s official yet.

Fingers crossed that Sega gives this one a second chance, either with a revisit to the original game or its long-awaited follow-up. These Skies deserve to be flown once more.

Is Darwin Project Cross Platform?

Scavengers Studio's Darwin Project is chipping the ice off the gates and opening them up for us all to play today. The game is launching on PC, PS4, and Xbox One today, and people want to know if it supports cross-platform play.

At the moment, it does not. You will be playing exclusively with people on your own platform, and will not be able to play with people on other platforms. While the game does not currently support cross-platform play, this does not mean that it won't come to the game in the future, so keep your eyes on the website for news.

Darwin Project is a mixture of the battle royale genre and a strange television show. A looming ice age has given rise to a new game show, where anything goes. Participants fight to the death to earn a way to survive the coming freeze. One player will play the part of the Show Director, who watches the battle and can support, or hinder, other players. It is even possible for the Show Director to reveal a player's location on the minimap, so be careful who you trash talk before the match begins.

The game also has Twitch integration, where viewers can bet on the outcome, and even help the Show Director to pick a player to help or to bully.

Players will have access to three pieces of gear that will impact how they play. The Jet Wings let you fly, the Grapple Gauntlet lets you rapidly close in on enemies, and the Headhunter Drone will help you track targets.

As you can see, there is plenty to do in the Darwin Project, you just won't be able to do with people who play on a different platform than you.

New Doom Eternal trailer reveals story details, doesn’t hold back on demon carnageRobert WorkmanTue, 01/14/2020 - 13:15

As previously promised, Bethesda debuted a new trailer for Doom Eternal, the much-anticipated follow-up to its hit 2016 reboot. And it didn’t disappoint, bringing all kinds of demon destruction.

But along with trashing hordes of Hell’s worst with an abundance of weapons, it also provides a small dose of back story.

There appears to be some kind of mother-like figure controlling these hellish forces, looking to lead them into an unstoppable march against us. “This is humanity’s chance to repent,” she proclaims. We also get a look at the new soldiers under her command, including fierce-looking hellion that seems to be quite a match-up with your unnamed space marine.

The second half of the trailer shows off some new gameplay, moving at a glorious 60 frames per second. It also features some sweet weaponry, including a drop-shot style cannon that leaves an explosive effect on whoever it has in its sights.

There’s a bit more gravity to the stage design this time around, as your character will jump up and down on platforms, finding new demons to mow down on each one. It also appears your soldier will have a dash technique that can throw off an adversary rather quickly, giving you the opportunity to finish them off in whatever gory way you prefer.

Based on what we’ve seen, Doom Eternal has a hell of a lot to offer. The game arrives on March 20 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia. Don’t forget, if you pre-order the game, you’ll nab the classic Doom 64 free.

LEGEND META

Gibraltar

  • Passive: Gibraltar revives squadmates faster while inside the Dome Shield.

Wraith

  • Increased cooldown for Into the Void: 25 seconds -> 35 seconds.

Crypto

  • Drone and EMP improvements.

  • Surveillance Drone increased the health 1 -> 30.

  • EMP no longer affects friendly traps/deployables.

  • EMP no longer slows friendlies.

CHANGE TO ENERGY MAGS

  • Extended Energy Mags removed

  • HAVOC mag size: 32

  • Devotion mag size: 44

Designer Notes: We know that the removal of energy mags seems a bit odd, but it will make much more sense with the release of Season 4! It takes a while to make the bigger changes you see in the new season updates, and we generally make sure to filter out these changes from preceding mid-season updates. This time we made a mistake and shipped a change that wasn’t intended to go live until Season 4.

TOURNAMENT MODE

This feature is limited to approved partners and allows them to arrange private player matches, record live footage via game client spectators, and view match results. Our goal here is to provide great tools for tournament organizers for setting up teams and matches at events and a better spectating experience for fans.

Pokémon fan recreated Sword and Shield curry, and it looks downright scrumptious Adelaide WeissTue, 01/14/2020 - 14:00

Not all fan creations are fan art. as one fan proved when recreating the curries found in Pokémon Sword and Shield. And the results look delicious.

The curries in Pokémon Sword and Shield can be unusual combinations, ranging from inedible to pure decadence. Sweet Apple Curry is one of the recipes in the games that has real-life potential, as Reddit user Calvaroni showed off in their latest fan creation. (Hopefully no Appletuns were harmed in the making of this delight.)

I've been recreating SWSH curries starting with Sweet Apple from r/pokemon

The user is a skilled cook and has undertaken the daunting task to recreate the Sword and Shield curries, beginning with the Sweet Apple Curry. "I love making curries and I usually grate in apples, but this time tried adding just gigantic chunks into it," Calvaroni said in a comment. "I was surprised they didn't disintegrate! But they played really well with the gochujang I added in."

The result matches the in game content perfectly. "I'd say it tasted Charizard class," they added, "but my programmer who also ate it said it didn't increase his friendliness enough."

In a couple comments, the creator stated they didn’t save the recipe and usually just wings it, but they did their best to write down their process from memory.

This is the first recipe in their ambitious goal. The second project is Sour Toast Curry, utilizing sourdough bread. The goal is ambitious, with over 100 different types of curries in the Sword and Shield games. We are most excited to see their rendition of Whipped Cream Curry.

The creator stated that after the Pokémon curries, they will move onto Breath of the Wild recipes. They also created an Instagram page from which to easily track their culinary journey.

Solar Subclass Changes in Destiny 2

The new update to the solar subclasses in Destiny 2 has arrived. These updates were created by Bungie to knock some of the rust off of these subclasses and give them a brand new shine. There's one for each class, giving them a new spin along with the quality of life attributes to make them feel a bit more updated.

Hunters

For Hunters, the Way of the Sharpshooter (the bottom path) in the solar tree has changes to make it feel like a more useful choice for all forms of activities.

  • Weighted Knife: A knife throw with a high amount of damage, but it takes a bit to wind up. It does a high amount of damage to an opponent's head leading to a one-hit precision kill in PvP, and it can bounce once. If you land a precision shot, it recharges your melee ability.
  • Practice Makes Perfect: The ability now lasts longer; however, it provides less energy back. Precision hits provide two stacks.
  • Knock 'em Down: Precision final blows increase weapon stability and ADS speed. The timer starts at 10 seconds, but any additional final blow/assists can increase it up to 25 seconds. Casting your Super with this buff above 20 seconds consumes the buff and grants extra damage. This does not stack with the Celestial Nighthawk exotic
  • Line 'em Up: Old perks from Crowd Pleaser are now part of this perk.

Additionally, there's a minor change to the Way of the Outlaw subclass. To show the difference between the 3-shot Golden Gun and the 6-shot, the 3-shot has a longer range with higher damage output. The 6-shot has a shorter range. While it can still hit the same distance as the 3-shot, it requires two shots to down an opponent.

Titans

Titans who love to smash are in good company with others who want to crush the enemy team. To make it easier, the Code of the Devastator (the middle path) for the solar tree has been reworked.

  • Burning Maul: It now lasts for 28.5 seconds instead of 21.2 seconds. The light attacks now only use three percent energy instead of five, and has a changed animation. The heavy attacks now have a wider radius and increased energy costs from six percent to eight percent.
  • Roaring Flames: Increased damage bonus from 10 percent to 25 percent per stack in PvP and the duration is now 20 seconds.
  • Throwing Hammer: Increased impact damage from 100 to 120 and pick up radius from 2 meters to 3.5 meters.

You should find yourself being able to rush into the thick of it with this new subclass and being able to destroy enemies with a mighty hammer blow.

Warlocks

Warlocks are having changes done to their Attunement of Sky subclass in the solar tree. The changes aim to make players feel like they're floating across the sky to deliver destruction to their enemies below.

  • Heat Rises: Consume your grenade to extend Glide time and dramatically reduce the in-air accuracy penalties for weapons.
  • Winged Sun: Fire weapons, use Celestial Fire, and throw a grenade while gliding. Airborne final blows grant melee energy and extend the duration of Heat Rises.
  • Icarus Dash: Hit the crouch button twice to dodge in midair. Dodging in Daybreak accelerates players farther and costs less Super energy while under the effects of Heat Rises.
  • Celestial Fire: Send a spiral of three explosive solar projectiles
  • Due to the nature of these reworks, Wings of Sacred Dawn received a buff where it gains 15 percent damage resistance while Tome of Dawn is active.

All of these changes are active in Destiny 2. All you have to do is log into your Guardian and try them out for yourself. You do not need to do anything special to unlock them.

Why does Apex Legends have no more weekly challenges after week 13 in Season 3?Ethan KenTue, 01/14/2020 - 16:06

It’s no secret that Apex Legends’ Season 3: Meltdown is by far the longest season that the game has had so far, but many players assumed that would bring more weekly challenges than the prior seasons. That may not be the case.

When the challenges stopped in December after Week 13, many thought it was a glitch, or they were missing an update, but avid Apex fan and Redditor AwkwardShake gave us the rundown on what was actually going on.

The weekly challenges from Season 3: Meltdown actually more closely reflected the challenges from Season 2: Battle Charge than a casual player may have noticed. Aside from a few locations, week 12 and week 13 were exactly the same for both seasons, even down to which characters you could to use for each challenge.

Related: EA and Respawn reveal Apex Legends Global Series

Season 2’s weekly challenges ended at week 13 because there were only 13 weeks. With Season 3, the confusion came from the fact that Respawn never made any official statement saying that a longer season wouldn’t also mean more weekly challenges, and that Season 3 would still only have the same old 13 weeks of weekly challenges.

In short, the weekly challenges for weeks 14-16 onward aren’t hidden, glitched, or missing. They were just never made or intended to be in the game in the first place.

League of Legends: Fiddlesticks’ Rework has been Teased, and it is Sufficiently HorrifyingIbriz DayaTue, 01/14/2020 - 17:16

For League fans, there are a handful of champions that hold a special place in peoples’ hearts. One of those is Fiddlesticks - a character that players have come to either love or hate. All the crowd control in the world, an incredibly important ultimate, and the mobility of an upside down turtle make League’s possessed scarecrow both a force to be reckoned with and thematically appropriate.

The character has remained largely the same for the better part of ten years, with only one major gameplay update coming Fiddlesticks’ way - his passive no longer telegraphs his position to the enemy team via a magic resist debuff, instead providing him with some extra movement speed after standing still.

Ten years of getting to feel the pain of being silenced by a Dark Wind, or having a Crowstorm very suddenly appear from over the Raptor camp wall - a good portion of this could be out of the picture come Fiddlesticks’ rework. Fortunately for enthusiasts of one of League’s least favourite champions to play against (sadists), his iconic Crowstorm ultimate will remain largely unchanged.

Thematically, the character couldn’t be more different. Gone is the random ghost possessing The Wizard of Oz’s Scarecrow, and in his place is one of Batman’s Rogues Gallery at his very scariest. Batman’s Scarecrow played with his prey’s fear, and Fiddlesticks is the very same: “experienced Fiddlesticks players will wreak mental havoc on their victims as they question what is real and what is a terrifying effigy.”

Something cool to note - and still very much in development - is a change in the champion’s presently goofy voice. Gone are the jokes, endearingly awkward bounce in his step, and laughter. Here is “a crude mimicry of people it has come across/killed.”

Today’s announcement came not only with some light being shed onto one of League’s thematically darkest champions to date’s concept, but also his modelling process. Updates to animation, colors, and the like are all given context with one recurring theme: it is all to make this League’s most terrifying champion to date

Galarian forms of older Pokémon, like Galarian Rapidash or Galarian Meowth, are also accepted in this upcoming tournament.

To register the competition, gamers will need to the enter the VS menu in their copy of Sword or Shield. As part of the rules for the Online Competitions and Ranked Battles, no two Pokémon in your battle team can hold the same item. All competing Pokémon will be at level 50 for the duration of every battle. Particular Pokémon will not be allowed to join the competition, with the Legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta being directly stated as being excluded.

However, players are given permission to have Pokémon on their team with the Gigantamax Factor. Gamers will be able to even Gigantamax their Pokémon during battle. The Gigantamax Factor means that a specific Pokémon is capable of turning into a Gigantamax form once it Dynamax. You can tell if a Pokémon has a Gigantamax Factor if they have a giant red X next to their names when you check their stats.

With 78 new non-Legendary Pokémon introduced in Galar, plus 13 regional forms, potential competitors will have a lot to choose from. Read out list of the best Pokémon in Sword and Shield. We included mostly older Pokémon, but there are still plenty of Galar Pokémon for you to decide on.

The 10 Best Minecraft EnchantmentsZack PalmTue, 01/14/2020 - 11:31

Minecraft has been making a major comeback this year. With bigger and better updates and heaps of new content, the highest-grossing video game of all time is bringing streamers, YouTubers, and casual players alike back in droves.

Among the blocks, farm animals, and mining for diamonds, Minecraft has a rich diversity of combat, armor, and tool upgrades, ranging from a waste of time to nearly game-breaking in power. It can be hard to decide which ones to use, after spending all that time grinding for levels to get enough experience to afford the higher-level enchantments. For the indecisive Minecraft players, the enchantments below are always worth your time.

Best Minecraft Enchantments

Mending

Minecraft Mending Enchantment

Mending is easily one of the most powerful enchantments in the game, and it's essential to add to any of your tools, armor pieces, and weapons. It slowly repairs your items every time you gain experience at a rate of two durability-per-experience bubbles. If you have more than one item with mending in your inventory, one receives the upgrade, not both.

mending is a “treasure enchantment.” All that means is that you can't obtain this particular enchantment via the enchanting table. You can find it or buy it in a lot of different ways—including chest loot, fishing, Pillager raids, and trading with villagers.

One thing to note about mending: if your bow already has the infinity enchantment you won’t be able to apply mending to it. The two are mutually exclusive for a good reason. If you had a bow that could shoot infinitely and also never break? Man, game over.

Unbreaking III

Minecraft Unbreaking Enchantment

The highest level of ynbreaking is worth all the grinding for experience. If you want your armor, weapons, and tools to last a long time, slap an unbreaking enchantment on that sucker. This enchantment gives a chance for your items to completely ignore durability reduction every time you use them, dependent on the level of the spell. If you want that diamond pickaxe to last through your strip-mining escapade, having unbreaking III is one of the best deals you’ll get.

Fortune III

Minecraft Fortune Enchantment

Exclusive to pickaxes, shovels, and regular axes, fortune III is how you get the best bang for your buck when you’ve got that next big project ahead of you that needs so much coal.

Another high-tier enchantment, fortune works on coal, diamond, emerald, Nether quartz, redstone, glowstone, and lapis lazuli in terms of ore, and carrots, sea lanterns, melon slices, Nether wart, potatoes, beetroot seeds, wheat seeds, and seeds from tall grass in terms of food and other plant-related items. It also increases the probability of gravel dropping flint, saplings, and apples dropping from oak and dark oak leaves. You will soon be rolling in the amount of stuff you drop.

Fortune, however, is similar to mending in that it’s incompatible with another enchantment. This time, it’s silk touch. This one makes sense, too—the game can’t expect you to be mining diamond ore with silk touch and expecting more diamonds from fortune. The good idea is to have one pickaxe with fortune and one with silk touch if you need them both.

Protection IV

Minecraft Protection Enchantment

Bad at combat? Die all the time? Keep getting blown up by those dastardly creepers? Protection IV has your back.

The highest-level enchantment both within the tier system and in this article, it absorbs 16 percent of all damage you take—per item on your helmet, turtle shell, chest plate, leggings, and boots. Of course, you can’t get around the /kill command, starving to death, or falling out of the world, but everything else does less damage to you. The absorption caps out at 80 percent, though, so you won’t ever be completely invulnerable. Just close.

But, as great as all that is, protection has a lot of qualifiers. And those qualifiers are that you can’t have blast protection, fire protection, or projectile protection on your armor at the same time. You can have specialized protection or regular protection. Choose wisely.

Sweeping Edge III

Minecraft Sweeping Edge Enchantment

Good at combat? Love to kill things? Wish your sword could kill more things at once? Look no further than sweeping edge III for all your mob-murdering desires.

Exclusive to the sword, sweeping edge’s highest-tier enchantment adds an extra 75 percent of damage every time you hit a sweep attack on something, and it stacks with other damage-increasing enchantments like sharpness, smite, and bane of arthropods. It’s great for crowded fights in the Nether, taking out a bunch of monsters in your grinding zone, or culling an excessive number of cows on your farm.

Infinity

Infinity Enchantment in Minecraft

The infinity enchantment is pretty self-explanatory. As long as you have at least one arrow in your inventory, the enchantment lets your bow fire an infinite amount of them. It does exclude tipped and spectral arrows, but it’s not a bad deal at all.

Like mentioned before, this enchantment is mutually exclusive with mending, but it does have a different tradeoff: you can’t pick your arrows back up after you fire them. It would be far too easy to have infinite arrows differently if that wasn’t the case.

Silk Touch

Silk Touch Enchantment in Minecraft

Perfect for that snowy fortress made of ice you’ve meant to build, or if you’re just really tired of smelting cobblestone down to regular stone again, silk touch is an excellent enchantment for builders. It lets you pick up blocks you’d never otherwise be able to retrieve—or at least not without some struggle—and allows for a certain kind of creativity.

This enchantment normally goes to the pickaxe, which is a good choice, but don’t shy away from enchanting a shovel or a regular ax as well because they prove just as useful.

Of course, there are caveats outside of being mutually exclusive to fortune. Most food blocks—like cake, beetroots, carrots, and the like—will be picked up like normal, as well as fire, monster spawners, monster egg blocks, and gravel still has a chance to only drop flint with a silk touched shovel.

Riptide III

Riptide Enchantment in Minecraft

Following the addition of the aquatic update, tridents are an extremely useful weapon with an incredibly cool enchantment to go with them: riptide III. It allows you to soar through the rain merrily like a flying fish, move you like a dolphin through bodies of water, and jump out of the water like a humpback whale.  If you happen to collide with an enemy on your way, the trident deals damage as if you’d chucked it at them. Except it’s your whole body. Sweet.

Unfortunately, snow does not count as rain, so don’t try to jump off a snowy mountain with your riptide trident unless you’ve got a good plan. It’s also mutually exclusive with the two other trident-exclusive enchantments, channeling, and loyalty, but that’s a fair trade. Loyalty might let you call your trident back like Thor, but can it make you fly? No. No, it can’t.

Looting III

Looting Enchantment in Minecraft

Like Fortune, but for mobs, looting III is a decent enough enchantment if you’re doing some serious grinding for materials. Sometimes you want to get into the Nether, get your blaze rods, and get out.

Looting III, the highest tier looting enchantment and exclusive to swords practically guarantees you frequent common drops, bumps up the chance of rare drops to 5.5 percent, and bumps up the chance of equipment drops by 11.5 percent. It’s not mutually exclusive with any other enchantments, so feel free to go nuts with this one.

It's useful to note that the looting effect applies as long as you’re holding the enchanted sword in your hand, even if you didn’t kill the mob with the sword. So if you fire an arrow at a zombie and quickly switch to your enchanted sword before the arrow kills it? Looting applies to that.

Respiration III

Respiration Enchantment in Minecraft

This one’s also pretty self-explanatory as long as you know what the word “respiration” means. A helmet- and turtle shell-exclusive enchantment, respiration III helps you breathe underwater.

At level three, the highest tier, respiration adds 45 extra seconds of breathing time onto the base fifteen second time limit without it. It also gives you a chance not to take any drowning damage if and when you do run out of air. This enchantment is perfect for exploring wrecked ships that aren’t quite deep enough to be worth a potion of water breathing, or if your next project involves a lot of clay.

And that about covers it for the best enchantments in Minecraft. There are a lot of cool and exciting ways to make this game way more than placing blocks and carving out a hole in a mountain, and these magical upgrades are the best way to do that. Good luck in your enchanting.

How to Get Ramen in Darwin Project

Darwin Project is a battle royal game that has a mix of the Hunger Games feel where players have to build arrows and keep track of their heat levels. Outside of the game, you want to acquire Ramen to purchase some of the cosmetic appearance items to make yourself stand out from the other players you're fighting. There are several methods for obtaining Ramen.

The most straightforward way to get Ramen is to buy from the in-game store. It's considered the game's premium currency, so you directly pay with real-world money to have it added to your account. Here's how much you spend and how much Ramen you receive in return:

  • $1.99 - 200 Ramen
  • $9.99 - 1,000 Ramen + 100 bonus
  • $19.99 - 2,000 Ramen + 500 bonus
  • $39.99 - 4,000 Ramen + 1,500 bonus

If you're new to the game, there's a starter pack available for $14.99. It comes with seven cosmetic items, 1,100 Ramen, and 10 bonus fan gifts. For those who want to support this free-to-play game, this option could be a great way to see how much you like it going forward, even if you don't stick to playing it for too long.

The alternative to receive Ramen is to complete daily challenges. You can find these on the front page when you first start on the game on the lower right-hand corner. You should have a small list of challenges you can do, and you can see how much Ramen you receive for each challenge. These are daily challenges, so they reset at the end of the day with new ones. If there are any daily challenges, you don't like you have the option to replace it with another, but you can only do this once.

Darwin Project is available on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Exploring the Corridors of Time and the Obelisk Codes in Destiny 2

Osiris has another mission for you in Destiny 2 called Traverse the Corridors of Time. While you were able to go through it at one point to save Saint-14, you did not explore it to its full extent. It's time to return to this location and see what else you can find. It's a land of mystery, and you'll need to keep your wits about you while you're here.

Much the last time you were here the hallway is covered in this white-black coloring and feels like you could fall at any second. You need to continue forward through the first series of hallways, and when you do, you'll find yourself in a large room full of Vex. Take care of them, and after you finish you'll see five different doors with a unique symbol in front of them. There's a correct order you need to go through, and finding this code is taking quite a bit of time.

There are a handful of Reddit posts attempting to figure out. A particular member of the community believes he has it figured out all of the codes, while another has a list of symbols individuals need to go down. The big thing people are discovering is that the symbols are on the sides of Obelisks in the world. You should visit the five obelisks available throughout Destiny 2 and then venture into the Corridors of Time on Mercury.

EDZ Obelisk Symbols

For example, the above picture is of the EDZ obelisk. The symbols in the middle represent what doors you need to go through in the Corridors of Time. Knowing these symbols, write them down and then return to Osiris to go through the Sundial. We have a guide breaking down how to properly read these obelisk symbols over here. Redditors are discovering a massive list of codes players can use to go through the Corridors of Time. Here's what they found so far:

  • 1: Plus, Snake, Clover, Hex, Snake, Plus, Diamond
  • 2: Clover, Clover, Hex, Hex, Plus, Diamond, Snake
  • 3: Plus, Clover, Diamond, Diamond, Snake, Diamond, Diamond
  • 4: Diamond, Clover, Plus, Hex, Clover, Hex, Clover
  • 5. Diamond, Plus, Snake, Hex, Hex, Diamond, Plus
  • 6: Diamond, Hex, Snake, Hex, Clover, Clover, Plus
  • 7: Diamond, Plus, Clover, Hex, Snake, Hex, Snake
  • 8: Clover, Plus, Clover, Hex, Clover, Diamond, Snake
  • 9: Clover, Clover, Clover, Snake, Diamond, Hex, Diamond
  • 10: Plus, Hex, Clover, Hex, Plus, DIamond, Hex
  • 11: Snake, Hex, Snake, Hex, Diamond, Hex, Snake
  • 12: Hex, Snake, Plus, Hex, Snake, Hex, Plus
  • 13: Clover, PLus, Clover, Diamond, Snake, Snake, Hex
  • 14: Clover, Plus, Clover, Diamond, Snake, Snake, Hex
  • 15: Clover, Hex, Plus, Diamond, Plus, Snake, Diamond

  • 16: Snake, Hex, Hex, Hex, Plus, Diamond, Diamond

  • 17: Clover, Diamond, Hex, Clover, Plus, Diamond, Plus

  • 18: Diamond, Plus, Plus, Clover, Snake, Plus, Diamond

  • 19: Hex, Plus, Plus, Diamond, Hex, Snake, Snake

  • Emblem: Diamond, Clover, Snake, Plus, Hex, Hex, Plus, Hex, Diamond, Clover, Snake

When you reach the end of the symbols, you receive a piece of lore and then you go back to the start of the Corridors of Time. The Emblem code provides you with an emblem instead of a lore piece. We're still learning what all of this and what it means and where Bungie is planning to take it. We will add more to this page when we learn more.

How to Read the Obelisk Symbols for the Corridors of Time Doors in Destiny 2

Bungie snuck in a brand new quest for you to grab from Osiris in Destiny 2. Approach him, and you should receive a task to complete called Traversing the Corridors of Time. There's no set objective or detail of what you need to do. You need to go outside of the Sundial and explore the obelisks thrown throughout the solar system. Locate them, and they should have a series of symbols on them you need to write down.

Before you go to Osiris, visit one of the obelisks and walk up to them. They should have seven different symbols right in the middle of them. You can see the symbols my Tangled Shore obelisk had below. These are important to note because when you return to Osiris at the Sundial and enter the Corridors of Time, there are now symbols for each entrance you can go down. These symbols need to match the obelisk's symbols, and you need to enter them in a specific order.

Tangled Shore Obelisk Symbols

Write these symbols down to make sure you remember them. You want to read them in a clockwise rotation, starting with the one at the upper right position, which is the flower symbol. Here's the proper order of the symbols when you're in the Corridors of Time:

  • Flower
  • Cross
  • Flower
  • Diamond with Three Flowers
  • Snake
  • Snake
  • Interlocking circles

You need to clockwise around the symbols and then finish on the center one. When you reach the final room in the Corridors of Time, you'll find a piece of lore. To find all the pieces of lore, you need to visit every obelisk. The symbols change every hour, so you can't wait too long to visit the obelisk and then check out the Corridors of Time at the Sundial.

Many players are still discovering the secrets hidden behind these obelisks and their connection with the Sundial. We may need to update this page in the future if we learn anything new.

What Pokémon should you evolve in Pokémon Go?

What Pokémon should you evolve in Pokémon Go?

There are hundreds of unique Pokémon available for trainers to find and capture throughout the world of Pokémon Go.

Some of these Pokémon have the option to evolve when players collect a certain amount of Candy, which turns them into more powerful Pokémon.

Candy can be obtained through catching a particular Pokémon or by walking with that Pokémon for a set distance. This means trainers might need to grind for several hours to get the strongest version of their favorite Pokémon.

This Candy can also be used in combination with Stardust to give your Pokémon more Combat Points (CP), which increases your creature's power.

This list features some of the best Pokémon that trainers should look to find and evolve in Pokémon Go.

Machop > Machoke > Machamp

Machamp

As one of the best attacking Pokémon in the game, mainly because it can even rival Legendary Pokémon, Machamp is a must-need Pokémon on anyone's roster when attempting to take on Legendary Raids or opposing gyms.

The best moves to give it are Karate Chop and/or Dynamic Punch for that extra bit of damage, which could prove vital against the toughest opponents.

Magikarp > Gyarados

Gyarados

Gyarados is one of the hardest Pokémon to get in Pokémon Go and one of the most difficult to evolve. You need 300 Magikarp Candy to get one in the first place, making it an ordeal that could last weeks, or even months.

But when you get a Gyarados, you'll instantly reap the benefits. It's a strong Pokemon for attacking or defending, which is important for any team looking to make their mark in the world of Pokémon Go.

Dratini > Dragonair > Dragonite

Dragonite

Dragonite is a Dragon-type powerhouse capable of killing off multiple enemy Pokémon in a single blow. It's best used when it knows Outrage or Draco Meteor, which are high-powered Dragon-Type moves that can obliterate enemy Pokémon in a single hit.

Dragonite can be as strong as some Legendary Pokémon and will be vital to anyone looking to take down Legendary Raids and opposing gyms.

Chansey > Blissey

Blissey

Blissey is a tank and is the strongest defensive Pokémon in the game. By placing it in a gym, Blissey is guaranteed to last a while, allowing your Pokécoin count to slowly rise.

Blissey isn't an invincible Pokémon, however, but it should survive an onslaught from a bunch of strong Pokémon and keep the gym standing in your team's colors.

Larvitar > Pupitar > Tyranitar

Tyranitar

Tyranitar, like Dragonite and Machamp, is primarily used offensively. It's a good Pokémon that has a wealth of different move options that can be used depending on the opponent. Bite, Crunch, and Stone Edge are all great moves that it can learn, giving trainers a few choices in battle.

Slakoth > Vigoroth > Slaking

Slaking

Slaking is a bit like Blissey because it's a good tank Pokémon. It's an ideal second choice behind Blissey, or if a gym already has a Blissey in it, as both can provide great defense to keep it in your team's hands.

Feebas > Milotic

Milotic

Although Milotic isn't the best Pokémon, it's far easier to obtain that anything else on this list. Most Pokémon require 100 to 150 Candy to evolve, plus all of the Candy and Stardust needed to max out its CP value. Trainers only need to evolve Milotic once from Feebas, making it a good second option for trainers looking to jump-start their journeys.

Beldum > Metang > Metagross

Metagross

One of the most well rounded Pokémon in the game, obtaining a Metagross is an excellent option for any trainer out there looking for a fantastic all-rounder with strong Attack and Defense and solid Stamina. The Psychic and Steel typing is relatively favorable, and with the moves Psychic, Flash Cannon, Zen Headbutt, and Bullet Punch, you have a solid set of moves to go with the stats.

Gible > Gabite > Garchomp

 Garchomp

Probably the most powerful non-legendary Pokémon in the mainline series (it is considered pseudo-legendary), Garchomp is also one of the biggest hitters in Pokémon GO. A devastating combination of Dragon Tail and Outrage in PVE is one of the most powerful in the game, while Mud Shot with Outrage/Earthquake offers fantastic options to go with its powerhouse stats. Finding a Gible is incredibly challenging, though, so it will take some time to find it.

Riolu > Lucario

Lucario

The mascot of the Sinnoh region, Lucario is a popular Pokémon and an excellent choice to pick up. A variety choice of moves to pick from to go with a remarkable attacking stat means that Lucario can be a power hitter against almost any type of Pokémon. Typing should also help with battles, and as it would only require one evolution, 50 candies are all that’s needed from Riolu to obtain them.

Litwick > Lampent > Chandelure

Chandelure

While the level of investment for Chandelure may be high, the payoff is worth it as it’s an incredibly strong Pokémon for your team. A powerful Ghost and Fire-type with excellent Attack rating and sold Defensive and Stamina stats, plus Fire Spin, which is a decent attack in Pokémon GO, Shadow Ball, and Overheat provide plenty of great attacks to help your cause.

Does Darwin Project have Duos?

Does Darwin Project have Duos?

Darwin Project is a free-to-play battle royale with a small degree of survival elements. You don't have to watch how much food you've eaten, but you need to watch your warmth levels and build a fire when they become too low. You also don't find arrows. Instead, you make them using wood you chop down in the forest. Many players are curious if they jump into the game if they have a chance to team up with a friend and dominate the arena with a partner.

At this time, Darwin Project does not have duos available, but the game had the feature at one point. They only have a single-player free-for-all mode and then another mode you access after you've reached level five. The particular mode is called Director. You have to provide a bit more entertainment to gain further fans by the end of the game, alongside the addition of special powers.

For some reason, developers Scavenger Studio decided to remove duos at some point before the game released. They may have done so to ensure the game's overall stability remained a highlight or wanted to continue balance testing their servers to ensure the players had a substantial experience when they did introduce it. There are several mentions to it by the official Darwin Project Twitter page showing they had one during the earlier point of development.

We have no details from the development team about when a duo mode is coming to Darwin Project. We can expect to learn the news from the official Twitter page, from the Steam update page, or the developer's website. Make sure to follow any of these sources to learn when a duo mode could make its way to the game.

How to Pass Through 10 Rings Created by a Dash Ring item in Mario Kart Tour

How to Pass Through 10 Rings Created by a Dash Ring item in Mario Kart Tour

You have a new array of challenges available in Mario Kart Tour. One of these challenges asks you to pass through 10 rings created by a dash ring item. Here's what you need to know to complete it.

The dash ring item that produces three blue rings the driver can pass through, which grants them a temporary speed boost. It's an exclusive made to be used by these characters:

  • Ludwig
  • Peach (Wintertime)
  • Rosalina
  • Rosalina (Halloween)

However, this does not mean if you do not have any of these characters that you cannot complete the challenge, though it helps. Any driver, including those who do not summon the blue rings, can pass through them when they spawn onto the track. If you see any of the above characters using this item, attempt to get in front of them or use the ring before they do. It will count toward your total.

Of course, having any of the characters makes completing the challenge a breeze. For those who don't, you need to watch the roster more closely when you jump into a race. When you see any of the above drivers in your race, try to drive as close as to them as possible. You'll have a higher chance of making sure you notice when they use the ability to take advantage of it.

How to Earn a Total Score of 20,000 or Higher in the Rosalina Cup in Mario Kart Tour

How to Earn a Total Score of 20,000 or Higher in the Rosalina Cup in Mario Kart Tour

The cups in Mario Kart Tour feature three different tracks and a bonus one centered around a specific technique to completing a course. One of the challenges for Mario Kart Tour asks you to earn a score of 20,000 or higher on the Rosalina Cup, and unfortunately, the bonus track at the end of the cup does not count toward the total.

You need to reach the Rosalina Cup, first. It's the fourth cup from the start, so you need to go through all of the cups before it to earn enough stars to make it there.

When you do make it, you need to have your total from each of the races make it to 20,000. It's no easy feat, and it could take you several attempts going through each of them. Here are the tracks in that cup and their favored drivers:

  • Cheep Chee Lagoon: Baby Peach, Black Shy Guy, and Rosalina
  • Frappe Snowland T: Peach (Wintertime) and Penguin Luigi
  • Vanilla Lake 1R: Ice Mario

The last two courses in this cup have favored drivers that are difficult to acquire from the game. Favored drivers are the best ones you can have on a track because they have the potential to use three item boxes and activate frenzy mode. In this mode, they rapidly fire out a unique ability that can easily net them a good amount of points during a race.

You may want to check out the drivers who receive two items and focus on using them to score 20,000. To reach this goal, you need to earn a score of at least 6,666 or higher. If there's a particular track you can reach higher than this goal, then you can slack on one of the other two. There are multiple ways to increase your score in Mario Kart Tour:

  • Having a higher driver, vehicle, or glider level
  • Hitting other drivers with items while playing
  • Collecting coins
  • Hitting a drift to get a boost
  • Preforming a jump boost
  • Finishing at a higher placement, such as first
  • Hitting Snowmen

You want to attempt to weave many of these together to create combos. The higher the combos you make during a race, the higher your score increases alongside it. For example, you can drift through a series of snowmen or coins to raise your combo and keep the drift until you're ready to let it go. When you release the drift, try to angle it so you're about to reach a jump boost or hit another player so you can keep the combo going by ending into another drift. It takes a good degree of work to use the drift properly, but it's a great way to raise your combo.

You will have to go through these tracks several times, learning their angles, where they spawn coins and items boxes, and the best ways to increase your score. When you reach 20,000, the badge should pop up on your challenge card.

Joker Costume From Persona 5 Officially Announced For Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE EncoreMisael DuranWed, 01/15/2020 - 03:14

Now you can play Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore with style. Nintendo has officially revealed that a costume based on Joker from Persona 5 will be coming to the game.

As Nintendo Life initially reported, a Joker costume in Tokyo Mirage Sessions has been spotted online. Images of Joker can be seen on the box art for the game, and a picture of Joker in the actual game has also surfaced.

Today the costume was officially revealed by Nintendo in a video they posted on YouTube. The suit comes courtesy with other new outfits that are based on other properties. Gematsu reports that, besides Persona 5, the other suits are based on Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Etrian Odyssey Nexus, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.

Even though Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is billed as a crossover between Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei, the game ended up being more of a crossover between Fire Emblem and Persona. The Persona series is a spin-off of Shin Megami Tensei, so there is still a connection between the three gaming franchises.

Related: Persona 5 Sales Exceed 3 Million Units Worldwide

The last few entries in the Persona franchise has centered around teens coming across a supernatural phenomenon in their local neighborhood and involves the characters going into people’s minds. Persona 5 is specifically about high schoolers going into the minds of corrupt adults, and stealing their hearts.

Encore is a re-release of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, a role-playing game released on the Wii U in 2015. The game also focuses on the adventures of teenage pop, who are all trying to become pop idols in Tokyo. They end up becoming the city’s only protectors against beings known as Mirages. The protagonists team up with friendly mirages to face against these bad mirages. These good mirages are based on Fire Emblem characters.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is going to release worldwide on the Nintendo Switch on Jan. 17, 2020.
