What to Farm During Farming Frenzy Loot Event in Borderlands 3

The farming frenzy event in Borderlands 3 is now live. It's going to continue until Jan. 30, so if you want to get some fantastic loot in the game, now's the time to boot it up and start going after your favorite bosses. With the event being this big and all over the game, you may not know the exact location to start or what you should be doing to get the most out of this event.

Your best bet is first to understand what you can farm in the event and what is changing. The event focuses on Legendary items have an increased drop rate all over, and these items have a higher chance to have Anointed perks. An Anointed perk gives an effect to specific special skills a Vault Hunter uses or adds an effect to the end of your ability.

You know you have an Anointed weapon when it says "Anointed " at the bottom of the description. Below this, you can read what the Anointed perk does for this particular character. Anointed perks can sometimes only work for particular Vault Hunters, so if you have a specific Vault Hunter named attached to the text, the ability only works on that character. There are some more generic ones, too.

What bosses have additional drops during the farming frenzy? Here's the full list of things you can farm to get the best Legendary loot in the game:

  • Proving Grounds
  • Circle of Slaughter enemies
  • Maliwan Takedown bosses
  • Hammerlock Hunts
  • Targets of Opportunity
  • Story Bosses

The Takedown of Maliwan mission will prove to be a great option to grind with friends because, alongside the event, the mission is changing a little. The mission now scales to how many players you have in your party. The more party members you take in the mission, the harder enemies and bosses you're going to fight, but this means you gain access to superior loot. It's a good idea to party up with the farming frenzy event to make sure you're optimizing your output to receive the best Legendary drops possible.

The event starts right now, and goes until Jan. 30. You can get the most out of the event by making sure you keep the consistent rotations and missions going while play Borderlands 3.

Datamine Reveals Ashen Wolves Supports in Fire Emblem: Three HousesRebekah McPhersonThu, 01/16/2020 - 12:25

After the announcement of Byleth’s appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, a new trailer for Fire Emblem: Three Houses came out with the news of a side story that will be available as DLC. What we know so far from the trailer is that the Ashen Wolves are a secret house consisting of its leader Yuri, Constance, Hapi, and Balthus.

Due to accidental leaks from Famitsu, these four were revealed earlier, but only by names. Reddit user DeathChaos25 also revealed texts that were in the datamine that involve the four characters while datamining for Anna and Jeritza. He has included the unnamed characters’ growth rates, base classes, birthdays, and crests. There are two other characters who are not named, but they have not made an appearance in the Cindered Flames trailer.

Thanks to datamining, we know that the four characters shown in the Cindered Flames trailer will indeed have support conversations, similar to how Black Eagles exclusive Jeritza has a few with both Byleths and Mercedes.

This will contain possible spoilers for the Ashen Wolves characters, so read on at your own risk.

The Reddit thread, as brought up by user samsationalization, confirms that both male and female Byleth can have an S-support with the Ashen Wolves house leader Yuri. He is the only one out of the bunch that will have same-sex supports.

Meanwhile, Hapi will have most of her support conversations aligned with the Blue Lions students, including its house leader Dimitri. Constance will be able to support Edelgard from the Black Eagles. And finally, Balthus is confirmed to have supports with Golden Deer students, notably Claude and Hilda.

Once Feb. 13th rolls around, we will learn much more about the Ashen Wolves in the Cindered Flames side story.

Epic Games Launcher Users Experiencing Login Issues, But It’s Aware of the ProblemRobert WorkmanThu, 01/16/2020 - 12:28

If you tried to log in to the Epic Games Launcher this morning, you may have experienced problems upon getting to the login screen. Fret not, as the publisher behind the launcher is aware of the problem.

Acknowledging various members of the community with their complaints, Epic Games took to Twitter a little bit ago, noting it was working on a solution.

“We are aware that some users are experiencing login issues on the Epic Games Launcher,” it noted in its reply. “We're investigating now and will provide an update as soon as it's resolved.”

It didn’t provide any kind of timetable as to when the problem will be fixed, but expect it to be back up sooner rather than later.

As for where the problem is coming from, Epic didn’t say. However, some users have noted that there’s an issue that points at “trying to send request twice” on the login screen, as Valid Zack notes below.

Others could simply be affected by not being able to go past the typical login screen.

Thus far, the community has been responsive on the issue, though some obviously have taken the opportunity to complain about other things, like Fortnite’s latest tournament and possibly updating Unreal Tournament.

Considering the popularity of the Launcher and the games it works with, it probably shouldn’t be too long before it’s up and running again. We’ll let you know if Epic Games provides an update.

How to Get the Adaptation Mod in Warframe

How to Get the Adaptation Mod in Warframe

Adaptation in Warframe is a powerful mod that grants your Warframe damage resistance, stacking up to 90 percent resistance. What makes it so powerful is that it is reactive resistance, effective against the types of damage that you are actively taking. This makes it suitable for any tanky build you wish to run, and any enemy that you could be fighting against.

Adaptation can be obtained by running Arbitrations. These difficult missions will only give you one life and will increase in difficulty with each rotation. Ensure you enter them with a Warframe that you can are confident will be able to survive.

To gain access to Arbitrations, you need to have completed all available missions on the Star Chart at least once. The only exceptions to this are the Mutalist Alad V and the Jordas Golem nodes. If you wish to check which nodes you still have to complete, you can do so by speaking to the Arbiters of Hexis on any of the Relays.

Adaptation Statistics:

  • Rank 0 - Damage Resistance +5 percent for 10 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs 2 mod capacity
  • Rank 1 - Damage Resistance +5.5 percent for 11 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs 3 mod capacity
  • Rank 2 - Damage Resistance +6 percent for 12 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs 4 mod capacity
  • Rank 3 - Damage Resistance +6.5 percent for 13 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs 5 mod capacity
  • Rank 4 - Damage Resistance +7 percent for 14 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs 6 mod capacity
  • Rank 5 - Damage Resistance +7.5 percent for 15 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs 7 mod capacity
  • Rank 6 - Damage Resistance +8 percent for 16 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs 8 mod capacity
  • Rank 7 - Damage Resistance +8.5 percent for 17 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs 9 mod capacity
  • Rank 8 - Damage Resistance +9 percent for 18 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs 10 mod capacity
  • Rank 9 - Damage Resistance +9.5 percent for 19 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs11 mod capacity
  • Rank 10 - Damage Resistance +10 percent for 20 seconds, maxing out at 90%, costs 12 mod capacity

How Adaptation Works

Each time you take damage, you will get one tick of resistance to that damage type. At Rank 0, you will get 5 percent resistance, for 10 seconds. If you take damage from the same damage type within 10 seconds, you will get another 5 percent resistance and the timer will reset, giving you another 10 seconds.

If you use the mod a Rank 10, you instant get 10 percent resistance, then a further 10 percent if you take more damage from the same damage type within 20 seconds.

You can stack resistances to multiple damage types at the same time, and they will all have their own timers and resistance levels based on how many stacks you have built for that particular damage type.

The real reason to rank up the mod is to ensure you get to maximum resistance quickly and keep it as long as possible, but many players are happy to upgrade the mod to Rank 7, feeling this gives a good balance between available resistance, speed at which you can build the stacks, and overall mod cost.

Cyberpunk 2077 delayed to SeptemberZack PalmThu, 01/16/2020 - 12:39

Developer CD Projekt Red announced today that it is delaying the release of its upcoming first-person RPG Cyberpunk 2077 to Sept. 17, a full five months from its original release date of April 16.

The development team announced from its official Twitter account.

"We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there's still work to be done," the statement reads. "Night City is massive — full of stories, content, and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing."

While Cyberpunk 2077 might have a finished build, the developers say they don't want to ship a project that feels unfinished. From past press coverage and interactions with fans, we know the team at CD Projekt Red is passionate about the project and wants to be sure to take enough time to get it into the best state possible before handing it to eager players. Given how much love they've shown their previous title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it makes sense the devs want to get this release right as well.

There have been several large delays over the past few months. Other big titles such as the Final Fantasy VII Remake and Doom: Eternal were also delayed by their developers. Cyberpunk 2077 is in good company this week because Final Fantasy VII Remake's announcement happened a few days ago.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses Datamine Reveals Ashen Wolves Classes, Growth Rates, and MoreRebekah McPhersonThu, 01/16/2020 - 13:04

Fire Emblem: Three Houses' Cindered Flames side story trailer released on Jan. 16th features the Ashen Wolves students, who are the hidden fourth house that have been leaked and datamined a couple months back.

This article will contain possible spoilers for the characters’ in-game information, so read on at your risk.

Reddit user DeathChaos25, who is known for countless datamines outside of Fire Emblem, showcased the four characters that have appeared in the trailer, which are the house leader Yuri, Hapi, Constance, and Balthus. Thanks to him and the official side story trailer, we are able to confirm their classes, growth rates, and crests. Supports for the characters have also been datamined, as evident with text associated with them as mentioned by DeathChaos25.

There are two other characters that have been datamined with their information, but since their names are unknown and that they do not appear in the side story as of the date of this article's release, we will strictly be focusing on the four Ashen Wolves characters revealed.

Here’s a rundown of the four characters and their respective classes, growth rates, crests, and more:

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass 2
Robert WorkmanThu, 01/16/2020 - 13:57

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is set to get another Fighters Pass, and this time around, six new combatants will enter the arena, compared to the five from the first pass. And though game director Masahiro Sakurai didn’t confirm who would join the party, he promised it would be worth the wait.

Now the question is who would be an ideal fit. This is a game that’s built around surprises—Banjo-Kazooie, anyone?—so the next six characters could literally come from any franchise. Even Microsoft’s. (Cuphead’s outfit reveal proved that.)

That said, we have a dream team of who we'd love to see join the Smash crew. Your choices may vary, especially if you’re a fan of particular Nintendo franchises. Regardless, though, all of these characters would certainly pack a punch. Or more.

Legion

Legion (Astral Chain)

There’s already some level of involvement with Astral Chain in Smash, with its upcoming Spirit event. We can’t help but wonder how great Legion would be as a character within the game.

Utilizing five different types of abilities available, including Sword, Arrow, Arm, Beast, and Axe, we can see fans getting used to its advanced playstyle, mixing attacks together to become quite effective. With the 100-second timer, however, we’re guessing you’d have to change up said styles sooner rather than later.

Legion is a stylish form, no matter which one players choose from.

Lara Croft

Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)

Now that Square Enix and Nintendo are pals again—and we’ve already seen Dragon Quest’s heroes debut in the game—it’s time to think about another icon. In this case, Lara Croft should throw her hat into the ring.

A versatile and physically-based character, the tomb raider could easily enter the fight, utilizing her guns, bow and arrow, and grappling hook in an effortless combat style. For good measure, she could call upon a T. Rex as her Final Smash, stomping its way through the scene and knocking through various opponents.

And if Sakurai and company really want to have fun with it, how about introducing a 90’s Tomb Raider skin with the character, polygons and all?

Dante

Dante (Devil May Cry)

Some were disappointed that the Devil May Cry flyboy didn’t make the cut in Smash's first pass. But hope springs eternal that he’ll pop up yet because, honestly, his character would be ideal for it.

We’ve already seen what he can do in other games like PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (well, as his younger DMC self) and the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 games. With his sword and guns in hand, he could easily dominate in Nintendo’s game as well. Not to mention that he can call upon various demon abilities for his Final Smash, then taking a moment to stylishly pose afterward.

We can definitely see Dante making opponents cry sometime in the future.

Waluigi

Waluigi

We’ve seen the calls for it, far and wide. Fans sitting down in protest. People posting memes and gifs on Twitter. It’s time. For the second season of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Sakurai and company need to relent and just add Waluigi.

After all, he’s been a staple in many of Nintendo’s other releases, including being a primary part of Mario Tennis Aces. His exclusion from Smash is mind-boggling, unless Nintendo is opting to give Wario the spotlight for just a little bit longer. (He does have a lot of money, so maybe he bribed them?)

Eventually, we’ll see him show up as something more than a guest Spirit. The time has just about come for Waluigi. We hope.

Travis Touchdown

Travis Touchdown (No More Heroes)

With No More Heroes 3 set to debut on the Nintendo Switch sometime this year, we can’t think of a better promotional tie-in for Travis Touchdown than with an addition to Smash.

Producer Goichi “Suda 51” Suda has expressed his desire to see the character show up and, honestly, he’d be a real hoot. Along with using his makeshift lightsaber (and having to charge it up, natch), Travis could also call upon his allies to lend a hand in the midst of battle. He’d probably look really good doing it, too.

Considering he’s become a favorite with the Nintendo elite, starting with Travis Strikes Again, it’s pretty safe to say Touchdown would be a huge score for the DLC roster.

Master Chief

Master Chief (Halo)

Okay, this may be a longshot. Probably the longest out of everyone on this list. But think about it.

Microsoft and Nintendo are very friendly right now, and we just saw a Cuphead content announced for Smash. Not to mention that Halo Infinite is set to debut later this year for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

While Nintendo would normally be hesitant about advertising another big franchise on its console, Master Chief would be a huge get for the series. Not to mention seeing him go toe-to-toe with Samus Aran is a dream match for some. If we can’t end up getting the soldier from Doom, we’ll happily take Chief instead.

Shantae

Bonus Choice: Shantae

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is no stranger to showing love to the indies. We’ve seen a Shovel Knight Spirit pop up in the game, and there are sure to be more where that came from.

The sexy genie has been a hit on Nintendo platforms for several years now, getting her initial start on the Game Boy Color in 2002. Since then, she’s starred in a number of memorable adventures, including the best-selling Half-Genie Hero. WayForward isn’t done yet, as she’s set to debut in Shantae and the Seven Sirens later this year.

While she may not be the most popular choice, Shantae would be great for those that really enjoy Nintendo’s indie scene. For some, she’d be a dream come true.

Goose

Bonus Choice: Goose (Untitled Goose Game)

We'll just say "HONK!" and leave it at that.

How to save Your Game in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot could see you playing for about 100 hours if you decide to engage with all the game's content. That is a lot of time spent training, eating, fighting, and exploring the world of the game. That is more than enough time for a power outage, console meltdown, or an errant cat to turn off your PC. You will want to save often to avoid any lost progress, but you might be wondering how to do that.

Well, a critical piece of information you should know is that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has an autosave function. The game is designed to automatically save after important moments, and this will be shown by a small spinning circle in the bottom left of the screen, with the word "saving" beside it.

If like us, you sometimes get paranoid about when autosave might kick in, you can save the game manually. To do this, use the Menu button on Xbox One, and the Options button on PS4. This will open the main menu. From there, go to the System Menu, and you will be able to save the game.

And that's it, everything you need to know about how to save your game in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. If you have other questions about the game, we have plenty of helpful guides. From how character progression workshow to use gifts, and the trophies and achievements you can earn.

Horizon Zero Dawn Coming To PC This Year, Sources Say

Horizon Zero Dawn Coming To PC This Year, Sources SayRobert WorkmanThu, 01/16/2020 - 15:08

Does Sony have a strategy in place to jump into the PC gaming market? That could be the case according to a report from Kotaku.

The site notes that, based on information from “sources”, Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn will release on PC this year, possibly through both Steam and Epic Games Store. The news reportedly comes from “three people familiar with Sony’s plans,” and could mark an interesting shift in how Sony usually does its business with exclusives.

In the game, you control Aloy, a heroic young female who finds herself up against mechanical remnants from a ravaged earth, using whatever weapons are at her disposal.

Originally making its debut back in Feb. 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn has become one of Sony’s biggest hits. By early 2019, it reached ten million copies sold, putting it in the top five best-selling games for the platform. And it’s probably sold even more since then, as one of the company’s budget Greatest Hits titles.

We’re starting to see more games from the PS4 front make their way to PC. Quantic Dream recently brought Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human to the platform, taking over publishing duties for Sony. 505 Games also confirmed it would bring Death Stranding to PC later this year after it originally launched as a PS4 exclusive last November. (Side note: Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn both utilize Decima Engine technology, so it could easily handle the transition to PC.)

On PC, Horizon Zero Dawn could look better than ever. While the game’s visuals look wonderful on both PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro, its frame rate is locked at 30 frames per second. With the right hardware, that could easily bump up to 60 or higher.

Sony hasn’t confirmed anything, so this is merely a rumor for now. Still, it will be interesting to see if the company opts to bring some of its older games to the platform. It’ll announce its 2020 plans soon enough. (Looking at you, PlayStation 5.)

New Iris Fortnite skin rumored to be exclusive to upcoming Samsung Galaxy modelAdelaide WeissThu, 01/16/2020 - 15:11

A new Fortnite skin may be an exclusive cosmetic related to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy model.

Companies are taking note of gamers’ love of cosmetic items. While it may be free to play, extra cosmetic items in Fortnite require purchase. Skins are a good way to show off your style. Samsung noticed that offering additional items may encourage buyers to pick up an item they’re already considering. An upcoming Fortnite skin looks like it will be connected to the purchase of Samsung’s new, upcoming Galaxy model.

Fortnite News on Twitter shared the image and the rumor. The new skin, Iris, is rumored to be connected to Samsung’s newest Galaxy S11 and S20 models. The phones themselves have not been officially revealed, but were leaked a couple days prior

It wouldn’t be the first time Samsung partnered with Fortnite for cosmetic items related to their products. For the release of the Galaxy S10 family, players could also obtain the iKONIK skin. The iKONIK skin was retired in September and replaced by the GLOW skin, which was also connected to the purchase of one of the Samsung Galaxy phones.

Samsung responded to the leak on Twitter. The company didn’t confirm or deny the skin’s connection, but instead encouraged those curious to watch the Galaxy Unpacked live stream on Feb. 11 where Samsung plans to announce the new phone models.

Thanks to Samsung’s response, fans feel the rumor is confirmed. The previous skin, iKONIK, released in a similar way, which has drawn further comparisons, only furthering the validity of the rumor.

The main talking points are the lack of “Featured” render and source. It also matches the iKONIK skin in terms of aesthetic and design, leading to more speculation.

The only way to know for sure is to watch Samsung’s presentation on Feb 11. Until then, we have to be content with gnawing curiosity.

Latias and Latios Soar Back Into Pokémon Go For Special Raid Weekend EventMisael DuranThu, 01/16/2020 - 16:15

The Eon Pokémon from Ruby and Sapphire soar back into Pokémon Go; Latias and Latios are coming back to raids in a new upcoming Special Raid Weekend.

Starting on Jan. 24, at 1pm Pacific Standard Time, Latias and Latios will start appearing in five-star raids. Latias and Latios are both psychic and dragon-type Pokémon, meaning they are weak against ghost, dark, fairy, bug, and other dragon-type Pokémon. The Pokémon Go Blog suggests using Pokémon like Rayquaza, Dialga, Tyranitar, Togekiss, and Mamoswine against them when players encounter them.

The event is currently schedule to end on Jan. 27, at 1pm PST.

Latias and Latios are a pair of Legendary Pokémon that were introduced back in Gen. III. They have similar appearance, with their main difference being their colors and gender. Latias is red and female, whereas Latios is blue and male. They are dubbed the Eon duo by fans as they are both referred as the Eon Pokémon, which is a reference to the term Aeon.

They were also the stars of the fifth animated Pokémon movie, Pokémon Heroes. In the movie they are introduce as brother and sister, which would explains their similar appearances and close bond.

How to Play Each Class in Darwin Project

How to Play Each Class in Darwin Project

There are three classes you can choose from before you start your game in Darwin Project. Each of them comes with a different playstyle and offers you a unique way to approach how you survive during that match. It's important to note how each of them plays, so you know how well they complement your overall style during a match.

Each class can only equip two abilities during a match.

How to Play Jet Wings

Jet wings give you the versatility of having a pair of wings on your back to fly across the battlefield. It's a fun way to jump around the map. Your standard ability allows you to glide in front of you and fly forward at a slow rate. If you want to make sure you have enough room to cross a gap or jump between lodges, it's a great way to traverse the map and stay out of reach of a player's ax. If you clash ax attacks with another player you can use it to regain your balance quickly and return to the fight.

The first two abilities you start out with are Meteor and Blast Off. Meteor slams you into the ground while you're high in the air, pushing enemies away from you. Blast Off shoots you straight up into the air, providing you with a great opportunity to use Meteor on any opponents below you. You may also want to use it to avoid incoming arrows or if you're caught off guard from another competitor's attack.

Jet Wings in Darwin Project

You gain Teleport at Jet Wings level three and Ice Bolt at level 10. Teleport immediately places you at the highlighted location. Ice Bolt fires out an attack that when it hits an opponent, they stop in their tracks for a short amount of time.

Those who want to play Jet Wings will want to stay on the move and is ideal for anyone who wants to remain mobile during a fight. Meteor and Blast Off are excellent starting abilities, but Ice Bolt can be a gamechanger if you use it on an unsuspecting foe.

Grapple Gauntlet

Do you want to zip across a battlefield? The grapple gauntlet is perfect for that, allowing you to use a thin zipline to connect to almost any object and then fling toward it, flying through the air like a bolt of lightning. You can use it to cross large spaces or close the distance between you and an opponent. You can upgrade it to increase how many times you can use it.

The first two abilities for this class, barrier and lockdown, are all about staying close to your enemy. Barrier creates a shield around you that protects you from damage. You want to active it right before a fight because your enemy will have a hard time breaking through it until it goes down. Lockdown creates a massive shield around you, preventing any players entering it, but you and any opponents inside of it can't leave it either. If you want to keep things between you and someone else, you can do it.

Grapple Class in Darwin Project

You gain the turret ability at class level three and then ice bolt at level 10. You throw down the turret to protect you during a fight and assist you in widdling down an enemy. Unfortunately, it's not mobile, so if you have it you may want to couple it with the lockdown ability. Ice bolt stops someone from moving, making it an excellent ability to combo with your basic grapple and then prevent them from getting away.

The grapple gauntlet class is all about being close to your enemy and preventing them from leaving your sight. You have several available combos, such as using barrier with ice bolt, lockdown with turret, and barrier and ice bolt. When you reach level 10, it's all about fighting the correct combination for how you like to play and fight.

Headhunter Drone

Need a helping hand during the match? The headhunter drone class comes with a flying bird companion you can send off to fetch supplies for you while you carry on fighting someone or running away. The drone will fetch the item for you and bring it to your position. It has a short cooldown too, but it's an interesting ability.

The first two abilities you receive with the class is radar and invisbility. Radar fires out a radar pulse showing you where other enemies are on your mini map. Invisibility turns you and your drone invisible for a short amount of time. While you're invisible, you can still have your drone go out to fetch supplies for you or kill animals.

At class level three you gain the turret and at level 10 you can shrink. The turret is much like the one from the grapple gauntlet class where it goes down where you place it and helps you take out any adversaries nearby. Shrink is a unique ability that shrinks you body down to a smaller size, but you do less damage.

headhunter drone bird companion

This class feels like one where you're going to hunt your enemies down and ambush them, but it could easily blow up in your face. The radar ability helps notify you of any enemies nearby and if they left any clues. If you want to truly sneak up on your enemy, invisibility seems like the best bet, which you may want to couple with turret. You can throw down your turret and then go invisible, leaving your enemy to contend with the large gun while you sneak up on them. If you have invisiblity, you likely won't have any need for shrink, so make sure not pair these two together.

When you reach level 10 with any of the classes, it's all about finding the right combo that feels correct for you. You can mix and match each class' four abilities to fit your playstyle while you fight to survive in Darwin Project.

Destiny 2 Twitch streamer cries after generous sub streamAdelaide WeissThu, 01/16/2020 - 16:46

After a 29 hour long Destiny 2 stream, a streamer found himself near tears after his chat generously gifts subscriptions.

Streamers rely on their subscribers. In turn, subscribers thrive on content from streamers. The ever expanding audience adds to the streamer’s success. A Destiny 2 streamer found his loyal fanbase gifting him subs after a lengthy stream. The generosity from his subscribers moved the streamer to near tears.

Sean “Gladd” is a Destiny 2 streamer from Colorado. Gladd was in the process of a 29 hour long stream, according to a Reddit thread on the subject. At the time, Gladd began the second half of his long stream with the subscriber counter at zero. It slowly increased over time as loyal subs gifted more and more. After several of his fans donated five, ten, and 20 subs to other viewers in rapid succession, breaking a personal record, Gladd found his eyes watering.

The streamer even comments that he doesn’t know why his eyes are doing this. The entire clip is wholesome and sweet. The streamer, at the time, was working on helping players figure out a puzzle in Destiny 2. He hadn’t progressed very far as he kept finding himself sidetracked with the chat’s antics.

Gladd’s recent streams have been aimed at donating towards the Australian wildfires. According to a comment on Reddit, he donated “777.77 dollars to WIRES” for Australia. His subscriber count is well over 20 thousand now thanks in part to his streams and donations.

Overwatch League director speaks out about recent talent departuresJess SimmondsThu, 01/16/2020 - 17:08

Following the exit of several Overwatch League hosts and analysts, including Chris Puckett, Christopher "MonteCristo" Mykles, Erik “DoA” Lonnquist, Auguste “Semmler” Massonnat, and Malik Forte, the community has taken to social media to voice its concern about the desk next season.

Although each host had nothing but positive parting words for the League, the fact that the League itself has not made a statement has only stirred more theories and anxiety within the community.

However, Jon Spector, senior director of Overwatch League, made a statement regarding the casters today in an effort to quell community outcries. He also stated that OWL will be announcing new talent soon.

“We’re incredibly thankful for the talented voices that worked to launch the first two seasons of the Overwatch League, and wish all talent not returning nothing but the best," Spector said to The Esports Observer. "We think we’ve had the best broadcast production in esports in 2018 and 2019, and our goal this season is no different as we evolve our broadcast to meet the needs of fans experiencing live esports in markets all over the world for the first time.”

Fans should be looking forward to the next season of the OWL, as Spector hinted that, "We’re not yet done making announcements of new and returning talent for 2020.”

“We think our community is going to enjoy hearing from some fresh voices, particularly those with pro-level experience," he said, "as well as seeing familiar faces return for this season.”

The third season of Overwatch League begins on Feb. 8 in Dallas and New York. It is the first season that the OWL will try out Homestand games around the world, instead of holding all the games at the Blizzard Arena in California.

Humble Bundle's Australian Fire Relief game package is now liveRobert WorkmanThu, 01/16/2020 - 18:15

Numerous gaming companies are doing their part to assist Australia with its devastating bushfires. Humble Bundle is no exception, offering a huge bundle of games for a very reasonable price, all for a good cause.

The company introduced the Humble Australia Fire Relief Bundle today, which is available now and will remain so until Jan. 23. Anyone who makes a donation of $25 or more will get this package of indie favorites, with codes redeemable on Steam.

There’s a lot included in this deal, such as the spooky, stylish Metroidvania adventure Hollow Knight, which was a critical darling last year; the humorous, sci-fi themed first-person shooter Void Bastards; and the hilariously wild multiplayer romp Duck Game. The full list is available below.

The Australian Fire Relief bundle supports three different groups, including the RSPCA, WIRES, and the World Wildlife Fund. In the first few hours alone, it raised over $125,000. If that support tracks, by the time this campaign concludes, it could end up somewhere around the $1 million mark.

If Steam games are your forte, this bundle looks like a swell deal. With almost 30 games here, you’re essentially paying a dollar a game. That’s hard to beat—and you’re giving to a good cause.

Hearthstone Descent of Dragons Meta Report #2

A week out from a nerf and it’s time to take another look at the meta after he dust has settled. Last we checked in, the meta was fairly diverse, with a whopping 16 viable decks. The meta was significantly aggro and midrange (mostly the latter) oriented.

But that’s old info. Now there are a whopping 20 viable decks, though spread out more in the Tier 2 category than the nearly even Tier 1 and 2 split from last time. On an even better note. There are now zero classes without a viable deck! Good going, Mage.

However, the cream of the crop is even better this time around. Where previously there were five Tier 1 decks duking it out for supremacy (and at very close winrates to the decks below them in Tier 2), we now have only three: Secret Highlander Hunter, token Druid, and Mech Paladin, all hovering at around a 55% winrate. The difference between the best viable deck (Secret Highlander Hunter) and the worst Tier 2 deck (Aggro Overload Shaman) is now a whopping 5%, almost exactly.

This is likely because of the severe shift to an extremely aggressive meta this time around.

Let’s do a quick breakdown of the classes (in order or highest overall winrate) and their viable decks:

Hunter: Secret Highlander Hunter (midrange T1), Face Hunter (aggro T2), Quest Hunter (aggro leaning midrange T2)

Rogue: Highlander Galakrond Rogue (midrange value T2), Galakrond Rogue (midrange value), Highlander Deathrattle Rogue (greedy combo-y midrange T2), Malygos OTK Rogue (combo T2)

Druid: Token Druid (board focused aggro T1), Embiggen Druid (board focused midrange value T2)

Warlock: Galakrond Zoo Warlock (board focused aggro T2), Hand Warlock (control leaning midrange T2), Galakrond Warlock (control leaning midrange T2)

Warrior: Pirate Warrior (board focused aggro T2), Galakrond Warlock (value midrange T2)

Paladin: Mech Paladin (board focused aggro T1), Pure Paladin (value midrange T2)

Priest: Quest Resurrect Priest (hardcore control T2), Combo Priest (board focused aggro T2)

Mage: Highlander Mage (control with a side of combo T2)

Shaman: Aggro Overload Shaman (board focused aggro)

    And the deck distribution:

    Aggro: 7

    Midrange: 10

    Control: 2

    Combo: 1

Keep in mind that while there are technically more midrange decks there than aggro, most of the midrange decks are unusually aggressive for that archetype, with many falling dead center between the two (like Quest hunter).

This leaves games feeling brutally fast paced unless you’re paired off against one of the control decks or slower midrange types, like Handlock and Galakrond Warlock, and even then they tend to need a pretty good draw to outmatch your aggression.

Key things to take away from this:

-Play an aggressive deck so you can keep up with other decks. Even if you’re angling for a slower game, early board presence is essential to survive.

-Make sure you can deal 2-3 damage to a board at least a couple of times per game. Part of the reason Secret Highlander Hunter is so good is that it has cards like Explosive Trap and Unleash the hounds to punish wide boards like Mech Paladin and Token Druid love.

-Healing, counterintuitively, is less key. Most healing cards are too slow to keep you alive in this board focused game. If you need healing, get it from fast, tempo friendly cards like Zilliax or buffed Vicious Scalehides that gain you health by removing threats.

-As an aggro player, make sure you have a reliable card draw engine so you don’t get swamped out by decks like Handlock which have a favorable matchup, but not as much of a crushing one as Priest enjoys.

That’s it for now. I’m excited to see what surprising new decks pop up soon when Galakrond’s Awakening unleashes, but for now remember to play fast and hard lest ye be overrun.

How to Get On and Off a Vehicle in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

While Goku and his friends can fly around in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, you also have the option to use vehicles in the game to travel around faster. The vehicles can make traveling a little easier, but the game may not immediately tell you how to get on and off them.

There are two simple buttons you need to know and become familiar with: the up and down directional pad. When you want to get on a vehicle, you need to press up on the directional pad. When you want to get off of it you need to press down. This button scheme works for both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One controller.

These are extremely easy controls, but they're good to know if you're having trouble attempting to get off your vehicle during the start of the game. You can always visit your options menu to view your controller's button scheme to change them and work them around in a different way.

If you're interested in checking out the full control scheme for the game, we have a guide for that over here. We also have a guide on how you can escape combat from wild encounters, how to get soul emblems from characters you meet in the game, and how to use gifts to increase your relationship with them.

What does the Escape from Tarkov Hideout do?

Escape from Tarkov seems like a simple role-playing game. The hardcore first-person shooter revolves around players searching the Norvisnk region after intense warfare, whether for fortune or simply to survive. With two factions in the Scavs and mercenaries, players explore the Tarkov city, find undiscovered loot, kill opponents that stand in their way, and participate in NPC quests.

With the release of update 0.12, Escape from Tarkov has released the hideout, which enables players to customize their living area. The hideout is what the word means - a place for characters to rest, store supplies, prepare for upcoming trips, and establish themselves. It starts off as an abandoned bomb shelter, but players can upgrade different modules and earn bonuses while doing so.

In order to start building out your hideout, players need to first install a Power Generator which consumes fuel. There are basic modules available, as well as advanced modules that allow the production of items and resources. Other than the upgradeable modules, there is also a shooting range where players can test their weapons without needing to worry about ammunition.

The hideout isn’t required for all players, but will make gameplay much easier.

While the hideout in Escape from Tarkov can give access to many valuable resources, it is also costly to upgrade everything to the maximum level.

Nintendo Switch is best-selling console of 2019 and PlayStation 4 is best-selling console of the decadeMisael DuranFri, 01/17/2020 - 02:14

New data reveals the winners of the console race this last decade. Nintendo’s Switch was able to earn top console in 2019, but the PlayStation 4 reign supreme as the number 1 console of the decade.

Nintendo Life published a news piece based on the findings of Mat Piscatella, a video game industry analyst who is associated with the NPD Group. The NPD Group are a market research company. Piscatella shared data that includes what were the best-selling console of last year, and the overall best-selling console of the decade.

If the information is accurate, then that means Nintendo performed very well in 2019. The Nintendo Switch was the best-selling hardware for December, and the console ended up being the number one for the whole year. The Pro Controller for the Switch was also labeled as the best-selling accessory of the year.

Related: The Best Game of the Decade

Even though Nintendo won 2019, Sony will take the spot for the number one console and accessory of the decade. According to the data, Sony’s PlayStation 4 was the number one selling console for the decade, from 2010 to 2019. The DualShock 4 controllers were also titled as the best-selling game accessories of the decade.

It seems as if Nintendo and Sony leaves the decade on top, whereas Microsoft’s Xbox brand is nowhere to be spotted. In fairness of the Xbox brand, the most recent sale reports for the Xbox One have detailed that over 40 million total units have been sold. Another thing to point out is that Nintendo began the decade struggling with the end of the Wii lifespan, and the whole disaster with the Wii U.

With a new console generations hitting selves in the end of this year, we wonder if Sony will keep its lead in the market, and if Nintendo can keep its momentum with the Switch. We also want to know if Xbox can usurp Sony to be the top console, or if they will remain second fiddle to Sony’s PlayStation brand. Only time will tell.

How to Farm Z Orbs in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Z orbs are all over the game in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. They're the resource you need to collect to upgrade your character's skill trees to get them new abilities and powers in combat. While they all are over, sometimes it can feel like you never have enough of them. There are some methods you can do to grind out some of the more common Z orbs, but the rarer ones are more difficult to locate.

    The Different Z Orbs

There are six different kinds of Z orbs you need to worry about collecting. You need these to make your characters stronger in Kakarot and to teach them new fighting moves. The first three orbs are the most common to find.

    • Blue Z Orbs
    • Red Z Orbs
    • Green Z Orbs
    • Rainbow Z Orbs
    • Silver Z Orbs
    • Gold Z Orbs

When you want to upgrade any of your abilities for a character, you need to use one of the three most common orbs. You spend these the most, making them easier to find during your journey. The other three are a bit more complicated, but you can find regularly, and by spending time defeating powerful enemies you encounter.

    How to Farm Z Orbs

The first three are the easiest to farm. Almost every activity you do in the game is going to reward you one of these colored orbs. You can earn them by doing:

    • Main story missions
    • Defeating random enemies
    • Making a wish with the dragon balls
    • Exploring the game

During the first portion of the game, exploring the world and collecting these colored orbs by flying through the ones scattered throughout the world is the easiest way to acquire them. However, after you complete the Sayian Saga, stronger random enemies spawn in the world, and they provide you with about 80 to 90 orbs for each battle. Because you can defeat these enemies so quickly, it makes sense to avoid flying around for the orbs and instead go after the random encounters. Plus, you gain experience points for defeating them, too.

The last three are the most difficult to find. You can generally find Rainbow Z orbs somewhere in the world and for completing the story missions, but they don't show up as much as the three standard colors. You have to spend a little more time exploring if you want to add them to your collection.

You gain silver and gold orbs by defeating Villainous enemies. These are enemies that are significantly stronger than the random encounters you may find while exploring Kakarot. They have a distinctive red aura around them and have a higher level. You want to approach these encounters with caution because you can easily find yourself outmatched, but when you're ready to take these on, acquiring the rarer Z orbs becomes another pure grind.
