A Fortnite glitch lets you kill, and be killed, through ramps and floors

A Fortnite glitch lets you kill, and be killed, through ramps and floorsAidan O'BrienWed, 01/15/2020 - 09:41

If you have noticed a few suspicious deaths since the arrival of update 11.40 for Fortnite, then you might be the victim of a new glitch that appears to have been introduced with the latest update.

Fortnite pro Radius of The Chiefs posted a video on Twitter today where it appears you can now shoot through ramps in the popular battle royale. This sounds lovely until you realize that you can also get shot through them.

Another pro players, Jahlyn of Legacy Esports, posted another video, this time showing that you can shoot through edited floors.

We hope this is just a glitch, because it would a regrettable design decision. Part of the joy of high-level Fortnite is watching people rapidly build protective structures as they fight other people. When the players involved are very good, it becomes a dance of timing and angles, all because structures provide protection from incoming damage. Being able to shoot through them, as shown in the clips, would change the game entirely for some players.

Hopefully, this is something that can be rectified quickly.

It is a big day in Fortnite. Update 11.40 has brought us the Rippley Vs. Sludge mission, the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch mission, and plenty more changes to the game. Probably the most significant change in the game is the return of the Heavy Assault Rifle, thanks to the new Sidegrading system. There are plenty of things to explore in the game, and lots of new missions and challenges to complete.

Just make sure you don't rely too heavily on ramps to keep you safe while doing them.

In since-deleted tweet, Overwatch League team hints at 2020 release of Overwatch 2Robert WorkmanWed, 01/15/2020 - 09:57

Ever since its official unveiling during BlizzCon last year, Overwatch 2 has been highly anticipated by those looking at its PvE and single-player content. But game director Jeff Kaplan made it clear, at the time, that there wasn’t a release date for the game, with “a long ways to go” in development. However, a new now-deleted tweet suggests that 2020 could be its year.

A Reddit user by the name of u/calitaliann managed to capture a screenshot of a message from the Twitter account of the Vancouver Titans, an Overwatch League team, before it ended up being deleted. It notes that the sequel is “coming out this year.”

Overwatch 2

Not only does it point out Overwatch 2's sooner-than-expected date, but the account also noted it will have “new game modes.” Thus far, only Push has been confirmed.

This does tie in with recent job listings that went up over at Blizzard (according to Dexerto), so it sounds like more are on the way. With the tweet now deleted, fans are wondering if a 2020 release could actually happen.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard whispers about an earlier-than-expected release for the game. PlayStation Brazil posted a similar message earlier this year, which has also been since deleted. Translated, it reads, “2020 will be the year Overwatch 2 comes to PS4.”

There’s a possibility Blizzard could be prepping some kind of phantom drop during BlizzCon 2020, which should be announced fairly soon. We’ll likely see some kind of update from Kaplan before that point, possibly revealing the new modes in the works.

If your audio in Fortnite is bugging out, Epic is already on the caseAidan O'BrienWed, 01/15/2020 - 10:00

The new 11.40 update for Fortnite was much anticipated, but it appears to have betrayed us. A couple of bugs have been introduced into the game that you might find are impacting your fun.

One of them is an audio bug that is affecting players on PC. When starting the game, they might lose audio. At the moment, the easiest solution is to restart the game, but it is still an annoying bug.

Epic is aware of the issue and has posted a card for it on their Community Trello, advising that they are working on a solution.

The second bug is a little more impactful, and at the moment, we don't know if it is limited to just one platform. It appears that you can now shoot enemies through ramps. If that sounds unfair, then you should also know that they can shoot you too.

By lining up shots with the gaps in the ramps, bullets will now pass through and hit whoever is on the other side. This is potentially going to have a significant impact on the game, so don't assume your ramps will keep you safe at the moment.

It is not all bad news, however.

Even with a couple of new bugs to contend with, there is still much to enjoy about Fortnite right now.

How to unlock the Vulpera Allied Race in World of Warcraft

The allied races feature that was introduced at the end of Legion and continued with the Battle for Azeroth expansion and has been one of the most positive features of this content set for World of Warcraft, allowing players to play as one of the allied races of each faction.

The Horde playerbase has been able to create a Mag’har Orc, Highmountain Tauren, Nightbourne or Zandalari Troll. With the latest 8.3.0 patch, Horde players now have the option to take a Vulpera, the fox type race that resides in the Voldun region of Zandalar. They are similar in size to Goblins, and like all of the allied races so far offer a unique set of racial abilities that are situationally helpful.

Their racial abilities include:

  • Bag of Tricks: Pull your chosen trick from the bag and use it on target enemy or ally. Enemies take damage, while allies are healed. 1.5-minute cooldown.

    •  Rummage Your Bag: Change the contents of your Bag of Tricks. 5-minute cooldown.

  • Make Camp: Make a camp at this location. Can only be used outdoors.

    • Return to Camp: Return to your camp. 1-hour cooldown.

And their racial passives:

  • Alpaca Saddlebags: Increases the size of your backpack by 8 slots.

  • Fire Resistance: Reduces Fire damage taken by 1%.

  • Nose For Trouble: When you first take damage from an enemy, reduce that damage by 5% of your maximum health.

They are a cool race and can assume any class except for Paladin and Druid (to be a Death Knight, a pre-order to Shadowlands is required), but how do you unlock them? Well, like all of the other allied races, Vulpera requires a set of objectives to be completed in order to unlock them. These objectives include:

  • Have purchased the Battle for Azeroth expansion.

  • Completed the achievement “Secrets in the Sands”, which requires you to have completed the Vol'dun storyline

  • Gain Exalted reputation with the Voldunai

  • Complete a special questline with the Vulpera

The requirements for the objective are not too difficult, and most of the progress towards these goals can be completed by progressing through the story of the expansion. Extra reputation can be earned by completing daily quests with the Vulpera, with more on offer if they are the chosen emissary for the day, where you can complete four of their quests for an extra reputation boost.

Once the first three prerequisites have been met, the game will offer you the chance to meet with the Vulpera to complete a special mission that shows more about them as a race, similar to completing the other allied races.

After completion, the game will present you with the “Allied Races: Vulpera” achievement, and the Vulpera, along with their Hyena allied race mount, will now be unlocked and available to use!

Pokémon: Twilight Wings Animated Series Debuts, First Episode Available NowRobert WorkmanWed, 01/15/2020 - 10:19

If the Pokémon Sword and Shield and Pokémon GO games didn’t have enough content for you to indulge in, not to worry. There’s also a new animated series just ripe for viewing.

The first episode of the anime series Pokémon: Twilight Wings has debuted on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. Titled “Letter,” the episode is available for viewing below.

As part of a new seven-episode limited animated series, Twilight Wings“takes place in the newly explorable Galar region in the Pokémon world,” according to the company.

With the first episode, fans will meet “characters living in the Galar region, where Pokémon battles have developed into a cultural sensation.” There, they’ll learn, in detail, “the dreams of Galar’s residents, the realities they face, the challenges they must overcome, and the conflicts they must revolve.”

Fans should also expect “a variety of Pokémon originally discovered in the Galar region throughout the capsule series,” according to the official Pokémon website. So keep an eye open.

Featuring animation produced by Studio Colorido, who previously worked on the film Penguin Highway, this looks to be a vibrant addition to Pokémon’s growing legacy.

The series will continue to premiere new episodes on a monthly basis, eventually wrapping up its story sometime in late summer. That may be a long wait for Pokémon fans wanting to see where it goes, but it should be worth it.

Check out the debut episode below in English. You can also check it out here in Japanese, if you prefer.

Ninja is getting his own Fortnite skin, and you can buy it tomorrowAidan O'BrienWed, 01/15/2020 - 10:19

Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, a streamer who is synonymous with Fortnite: Battle Royale, is being honored with his own skin. The skin will be available tomorrow, Jan. 16, and you can purchase it if you wish to cosplay as the man himself. The skin will stay in the shop until Jan. 19.

Ninja showed off the skin on his Mixer stream, and we must say, it really does look like him. His trademark blue hair is in full effect, and the skin is wearing a strange hooded jacket.

“It happened, it’s official, we finally got a Ninja skin. In the game. In Fortnite. We did it,” he said. The skin comes with four different styles, and Back Bling options, so you can look a little different to all the other Ninjas that will be in the game tomorrow.

It has been a busy time for Ninja. A move to Mixer saw a change in how streamers are able to capitalize on their positions, and he also released his own shoe with Adidas.

It's also a busy time in Fortnite right now. Update 11.40 has brought us the Rippley Vs. Sludge mission, the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch mission, and plenty more changes to the game. Probably the most significant change in the game is the return of the Heavy Assault Rifle, thanks to the new Sidegrading system

This gives us plenty to do as the first season of Chapter 2 winds down and is expected to end sometime in the middle of February

Borderlands 3 event Farming Frenzy offers a better shot at legendary gearRobert WorkmanWed, 01/15/2020 - 10:52

If you’ve been looking for a particular Legendary drop or a rare, exotic enemy to battle in Borderlands 3, the odds are ready to tip more in your favor for the rest of January.

Gearbox Software has announced the latest event coming to its hit sequel, called Farming Frenzy. It’s set to begin on Jan. 16 and will run for two weeks before coming to a close on Jan. 30.

During this two-week period, players can “collect all the Legendary items and fight rare enemies to their Vaulter heart’s content,” according to the company. Rare spawns are guaranteed to appear, and you’ll come across enemies that provide “a higher chance of dropping Legendary gear from their dedicated loot pool.” That means goodies that will serve you better in the long run once equipped to your character. In addition, the Anointment rate for all the gear you come across will see an increase.

For those of you that are struggling with the recently added endgame content Takedown at the Mailwan Blacksite, there’s some good news. The difficulty will now be scaled back, so you won’t be taking on a workload meant for four players if it’s just you running through the game. No word yet if this will stay permanently or if it’ll change back to normal once Jan. 30 rolls around.

There’s also no word yet as to what time the update will be available on Jan. 16, but Gearbox should provide an update once it’s all set.

How to unlock the Mechagnome Allied Race in World of Warcraft

Since the end of the Legion expansion, World of Warcraft players have been able to take on the role of an allied race, a race that was previously only in a non-playable form. But with certain reputation and questlines completed, you can play the Battle for Azeroth expansion with them, with new ones being added over time.

The Alliance have been able to call upon the Void Elves, Dark Iron Dwarves, Lightforged Draenei and the Kul Tiran Humans, each with their own set of abilities to help separate them from their normal forms. With patch 8.3.0, the Gnome race now has a variant too with the Mechagnome, who have more mechanics on their side compared to their fleshy counterparts.

Their solo racial ability is:

  • Hyper Organic Light Originator: Summon 2 Organic Light duplicates to distract your foes. 3-minute cooldown.

While their racial passives include:

  •  Combat Analysis: You gather and analyze combat data every 5 sec, increasing your primary stat by 50, stacking up to 8 times. The data decays while out of combat.

  •  Mastercraft: You function as a personal Blacksmithing Anvil, Cooking Fire, and Mining Forge. In addition, your limbs include every profession tool.

  •  Emergency Failsafe: When you fall below 20% health, heal for 15% of your maximum health. This effect cannot occur more than once every 2.5 min.

  •  Skeleton Pinkie: Allows opening of locked chests and doors on a level similar to yours.

The racial passives are very cool, offering plenty of utility for crafters outside of battle while being very handy in battle. They can be used for all classes except for Paladin, Shaman and Druid.

To unlock them, you will need to complete a set of objectives similar to other allied races. These objectives include:

  • Have purchased the Battle for Azeroth expansion.

  • Complete the achievement “The Mechagonian Threat”

  • Gain Exalted reputation with the Rustbolt Resistance

  • Complete a special questline with the Rustbolt Resistance

The requirements for unlocking the Mechagnomes is a little more challenging than the Horde equivalent, the Vulpera, as you will need to complete the questline on the Mechagon island introduced in Patch 8.2.0, plus a full dungeon run of the Operation: Mechagon mythic level dungeon on the island, which is one of the longest dungeons in the expansion.

Getting exalted reputation will also require some grinding of daily quests to improve your standing with the Rustbolt Resistance, though the emissary sets of quests will help to increase this much faster.

After completing the first three objectives, the game will offer you a quest with the Mechagnomes to complete, a unique quest that shows more about them as a race, with the gnomes and mechagnomes working together.

Once that quest is finished, the game will present you with the “Allied Races: Mechagnome” achievement, and the Mechagnomes, along with their Mechanostrider allied race mount, will now be unlocked and available to use!

How To Check Your Gaming Year Stats With the PlayStation 2019 Wrap-Up

How To Check Your Gaming Year Stats With the PlayStation 2019 Wrap-Up

2019 was a huge year for gaming, with AAA and indie titles keeping us busy. But have you ever been curious to see just how much time you spend on these games? And more importantly, which ones you stuck with the most? Now there’s a way to find out.
Sony has launched a new website with the name PlayStation 2019 Wrap-Up. Here, you can check all of your statistics over the previous year, including what games you played, how many hours you spent playing them, and how many Trophies you earned. It could just be you casually learning you really enjoyed Resident Evil 2; or it might remind you that you’re absolutely enjoying the heck out of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer, to the point that you barely take a night off. Any way you look at it, it provides a strong analysis on your playstyle.

So how can you track all these details? Here’s the breakdown on how you can see what PlayStation 2019 Wrap-Up is all about.

Stop By the Official Site

You’ll need to visit the official PlayStation 2019 Wrap-Up page, which you can find here. It’ll automatically refer you to a login page. Once you get there, enter the email address you used to register your PlayStation account, along with your password. You’ll then be referred back to your custom PlayStation 2019 Wrap-Up site.

To see all the details, simply scroll down the page. They’ll pop up as you go along, starting with your Top Games and then breaking down into additional details. It’s fairly easy to navigate; and surprisingly detailed for a promotional site.

What Information Do You Get From PlayStation 2019 Wrap-Up?

The first thing you’ll see is how many games you played in the year, as well as your top three played titles. You’ll also be able to tell how many hours you invested in certain games. Check out the picture below to get a glimpse of what it looks like.

PlayStation 2019 Wrap-Up

Next, you’ll see what your “Top Genre” is. This depends on what kind of games you played, narrowing down your favorite. So if you spent a lot of time playing Overwatch and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you’d obviously fit in the Shooter category. Did you toil away for hours with Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and Mortal Kombat 11? Then Fighting may be your forte.

You’ll also see how many hours of gameplay you clocked in overall and how many days you played. You can also see how many hours you played locally in single and couch multiplayer, as well as time spent online. For those that have it, PlayStation VR hours are also included. (We played Beat Saber for that long? Wow.) And, for good measure, you’ll also get your “prime time” for playing. In my particular case, Sunday nights.

Trophies are up next, and you’ll see how many you earned over the course of the year. This tracks across all four types, including Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. That is, if you earned any Platinum. If you didn’t, hey, it’s never too late for a new New Year’s resolution.

Next up, you’ll learn how much money you saved with PlayStation Plus, and what game you played the most in the online service. The page will also tell you how many free PlayStation Plus games you downloaded over the course of the year.

The site then goes into the promotional side of things, talking about the games offered through the service, and offering an additional pitch for PlayStation Now and PlayStation Music. You can skip this part if you want.

Finally, there’s your 2019 title. In this case, with the hours I’ve logged through various titles over the past year, I easily earned the title of “Marksman.” Your mileage may vary.

Visit the site here and prepare to be wowed over your stats. And if they aren’t quite where they need to be, don’t worry. 2020 is going to be an even busier year.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s launch trailer brings the wild and crazy Dragon Ball goodnessRobert WorkmanWed, 01/15/2020 - 11:50

Bandai Namco is ready to start its new gaming year with a bang—and that means the return of Goku and his Dragon Ball Z crew.

The publisher has debuted a new trailer to help launch the anime franchise’s latest adventure, Kakarot, which releases on Jan. 17. In it, Vegeta provides some dramatic narration on what’s to come, coinciding with gameplay footage that gets absolutely bonkers. We’re talking fire blasts, flying punches, charging techniques and a fireball about the size of a planet.

The game serves as an “expansive and accurate retelling of Goku’s life,” as he comes across enemies that want to challenge his skills. Over the course of the game, fans of Dragon Ball Z will rediscover many memorable story arcs from the original anime series in a fully interactive form. As expected, it will also include a variety of epic battles, putting your 3D fighting skills to the test.

Along the way, Goku will create “life-long friendships” with allies that provide assistance, either lending a hand in battle or a side quest that will help him with increasing his skills. In addition, these quests should provide answers to lingering questions that have been in fans’ minds. Yep, the storytelling goes deep here.

Kakarot comes from developer CyberConnect2, which previously worked on Bandai Namco’s Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series, as well as the underrated favorite Asura’s Wrath. This could easily be its biggest game yet, especially amongst Dragon Ball Z devotees.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available for pre-order now.

Where to Search the Hidden Gnome Found in Between Fancy View, a Wooden Shack, and a Big House in Fortnite: Battle Royale

As part of the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch mission in Fortnite, you will need to search the hidden gnome found in between Fancy View, a Wooden Shack, and a big house. The gnome will only appear in your game when you have completed the previous missions; you cannot jump ahead and get this until the others are done.

This is the second "search between" mission that has been added to the game in update 11.40. After a long time without them, we now have two, and you will also need to find a hidden gnome as part of the Rippley Vs. Sludge mission

Search Hidden Gnome Location

To search the hidden gnome found in between Fancy View, a Wooden Shack, and a big house you will need to head up the coast from Holly Hedges. Fancy View is a Landmark, a very modern-looking house the looks out over the sea. You can also find a big house and a shack nearby that form a triangle. The gnome can be found on top of a small hillock, near the road on the coastal side.

Hidden Gnome Location

You will just need to find the gnome and search it for the challenge to be complete. Once again, the gnome will not appear until you have finished the earlier challenges in the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch mission, so make sure you finish them before trying to do this part.

The rest of the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch challenges can be found below:

Where to dance at Rainbow Rentals, Beach Bus, Lake Canoe in Fortnite: Battle Royale

As part of the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch mission in Fortnite, you will need to dance at Rainbow Rentals, Beach Buss, and Lake Canoe. All these locations are Landmarks, so they are not marked on the map. We know where they all are and have marked them on the map below for you.

Rainbow Rentals, Beach Bus, Lake Canoe Locations

  • RR - Rainbow Rentals
  • LC - Lake Canoe
  • BB - Beach Bus

Rainbow Rentals

Rainbow Rentals can be found on the coast, to the southwest of Holly Hedges. It is right on the beach, so drop straight down on the edge of the water. It is comprised of some small buildings, so dance outside them and you are good to go.

Lake Canoe

Lake Canoe can be found to the north of Retail Row. Land on the small island in the middle of the lake, then dance to finish this section.

Beach Bus

Beach Bus can be found to the north of the map, at the lip of a cove to the west of Steamy Stacks. The bus is the only thing of prominence here, so dance outside it, and you are done with the challenge.

You don't need to dance at all these locations in one match, so feel free to spread it out over as many matches as you like. None of the areas are particularly busy, even with the challenge underway, so you shouldn't be at too much risk while you are busting a move.

The rest of the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch challenges can be found below:

Which Other Fortnite Streamers Should Receive Fortnite Skins?

Fortnite Ninja
Joey CarrWed, 01/15/2020 - 13:21

Earlier today, Epic Games released its first iteration of the Icon Series in Fortnite, creating a Tyler "Ninja" Blevins skin and emote. While the Icon Series will celebrate a multitude of Fortnite influencers, Ninja had to be the first due to his impact on the game.

With Kathleen "Loserfruit" Belsten and David "Grefg" Martinez skins already confirmed, many are wondering who will be featured next. Fortnite has stated that anyone from music, fashion, gaming, or film will be considered.

Though no leaks have surfaced, there are definitely streamers/creators who should be placed at the top of the list. So, let's go over which streamers Epic Games should include in Fortnite's Icon Series.

1. Nick "Nickmercs" Kolcheff

It's hard to think of Fortnite without this loud, controller-wielding streamer popping in your head. Nickmercs is considered one of the pioneers for Fortnite on console, as he's been playing the game with a PS4 controller since its release.

Nickmercs

Known for his humorous antics and flashy gameplay, Nick would be a perfect choice for Fortnite's Icon Series. He has a distinct look, with his beard and muscular frame, and a terrific Spartan logo.

It's unclear how Epic Games will create streamer's likeness aside from Ninja, who already had a set character outfit. Regardless, Nickmercs is one of the long-time streamers in Fortnite and deserves his own skin.

2. Ali "TSM Myth" Kabbani

Though he's fallen off from his initial rise, TSM Myth was another streamer who put Fortnite on the map. At one point, there was a heated debate in the community as to who was the better player between Myth and Ninja.

In terms of what his skin would look like, Myth loves to rock the Skull Trooper skin in Fortnite. So, maybe Epic Games could include some of the Skull Trooper's design into Myth's outfit.

Also, like with Ninja's Pon-Pon emote, there could be an emote of Myth's famous Boogiedown Challenge dance

3. Nick "Nick Eh 30" Amyoony

While the majority of Fortnite's early viewership came on Twitch, Nick Eh 30 was almost solely responsible for the viewership on YouTube Gaming. Rising to fame shortly after Fortnite released, Nick Eh 30 is still one of the most-watched streamers today.

Now on Twitch, Nick promotes a family-friendly stream. No real cursing or profane language is ever on Nick's streams, making him a prime candidate for the Icon Series.

Unlike the previous two streamers on this list though, Nick Eh 30 doesn't have a unique look with the exception of his logo. So, Epic Games would need to get creative with how they portray the Candian gamer.

4. Turner "Tfue" Tenney

While the controversy that surrounds him might be a roadblock, there's no other current streamer that pulls in more Fortnite viewers than Tfue. Consistently at the top of Twitch, Tfue is one of the most popular streamers in the world.

Putting the controversy aside, designing a skin for Tfue could be challenging. As he's famously joked about for years, the 22-year old streamer looks a lot like the default Fortnite character Jonesy. He even made an appearance as Jonesy in a YouTube video

So, while his skin design might be difficult, it's hard to imagine someone more deserving of a spot in the Fortnite Icon Series.

Where to Visit Base Camps in Fortnite: Battle Royale

As part of the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch mission in Fortnite, you will need to visit some base camps. You don't have to do anything special there, just passing through the area will be enough to check this challenge off your to-do list. They are very easy to spot, being made up of lots of tents and climbing equipment. The base camps are Landmarks, so they are not shown on the map. We have a map below that shows the location of three of them, however.

Fortnite Base Camp Locations

The base camps can be found in the towering mountains towards the south coast of the island. There are three located roughly south of Retail Row, Lazy Lake, and Misty Meadows. If you head there as you drop in from the Battle Bus, you should be able to see them from the air easily.

The rest of the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch challenges can be found below:

PUBG's new map brings urban combat on a smaller scale, sticky bombs, and the Black ZoneSam O'HaraWed, 01/15/2020 - 13:27

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is about to hit Season 6, and to shake things up, developer PUBG Corp. has introduced a host of fixes, changes, and additions, with the biggest addition being a new map for players to get stuck into.

The map is called Karakin, and it looks as though the focus is going to be on short, sharp games, with the conclusion taking place away from the towns and into the desert. At 2x2km, it is tiny in comparison to its much larger desert counterpart Miramar, with the player count capped at 64 to make the game manageable for players.

Karakin Map

The map appears to be very sparse aside from the coast of the island, so the strategy will likely be to head to a town, grab a weapon and supplies quickly, and get to a vantage point.

The map will also include a new throwable in the sticky bomb, allowing you to blow openings in buildings to expose campers, or on the other side, to create an opening for you to take shots at approaching enemies.

Another new feature is called the Black Zone, which will rain down a torrent of bombs, deforming the buildings and landscape to keep games exciting and players out of the safety of buildings. There’s also bullet penetration for the weaker walls throughout the towns of the map.

The current date for Season 6 going onto the live servers is Jan. 22 for PC and Jan. 30 for everyone else. Once Karakin has been added, snow map Vikendi will be taken out of public matchmaking.

The patch notes for 6.1 also includes a new motor glider added to the game, available on Erangel and Miramar, along with a host of fixes and balance changes.

A steamy new trailer for HuniePop 2: Double Date has droppedMisael DuranWed, 01/15/2020 - 13:43

Everyone’s guilty pleasure—or secret shame?—is coming back soon. A trailer for HuniePop 2: Double Date has released, and people all over are having those special feelings all over again.

The new trailer was released by HuniePot, the developer and publisher of the first game. They are currently working on the first sequel and have been teasing the game for the last few years. The first game was able to gain recognition thanks to its, let’s say, more “risque” components.

It appears that Double Date will follow the same steamy mentality as the first, and will continue the player’s journey to date more unbelievably attractive anime women. Double Date will take the characters from the first game to a new location—a gorgeous island where, conveniently, you can witness every female character in a bikini.

The trailer shows off new gameplay mechanics that will be introduced in Double Date, one of which is, of course, double dates. Players will now be able to split their attention between two girls at the same time.

There will also be a baggage feature, which will be a new way to help gamers manage their items. The trailer also revealed all the characters, both old and new, that are coming to the game.

The first game, released on Steam in 2015, was able to corner a certain section of the gaming market, and if there’s demand, then the series will continue to exist. It is most definitely not for everyone, yet no doubt fans (and YouTubers who made a killing playing this game) are excited.

When will Temtem come to the Nintendo Switch?

The new monster collection game is gaining some traction. Temtem will come to Switch, but the timeline is a bit fuzzy on the release date.

It’s unfair to call Temtem a Pokémon clone, but it is inspired by Game Freak’s flagship game. It’s what Pokémon fans wanted for a long time, a monster catching MMO in an open world setting. After a very successful Kickstarter, Temtem is on its way to Steam’s Early Access program on Jan. 21. Switch fans are eager to know when they can play on their preferred platform. The good news is, it will come to the Nintendo Switch, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The bad news is, that may be another year from now.

Temtem is a monster collection game that is very similar to Pokémon in terms of mechanics and gameplay. Unlike Pokémon, it boasts an open, multiplayer world where players can join their friends. It will feature a similar structure where players pick their starter Tem and go on a journey to tame and battle against other tamers. According to their Kickstarter, the game has been in development for six years. It went into the crowdfunding stage in 2018. Currently it is in a closed alpha test.

On Jan. 21, Temtem will come to Steam’s Early Access program. The early access stage will feature three of the six floating islands for tamers to explore and catch Tems, according to the official Reddit discussion. Only PC players will be able to join in the early access portion. Console players will have to wait until the full release after the early access portion.

There is currently no release date for the console version, which includes Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles. The original Kickstarter goals predicted May 2020 for a potential release window, but according to a comment on Kickstarter from the creator, the date has since been pushed to sometime in 2021. So if you’re a Switch, PlayStation, or Xbox fan, you’re going to have quite the agonizing wait.

Temtem looks like a promising addition to the monster collection niche, a niche that has been dominated by Pokémon for over 20 years. Early access opens on Jan. 21 so if you’re really curious, keep an eye out for lets plays and streams.

When Is HuniePop 2 Expected to Come Out?

HuniePop has become an internet sensation thanks to YouTubers playing it and cringing when things get hot and heavy for the characters they date. Thanks to successful sales, developer HuniePot eventually released a spin-off game HunieCam Studio and announced a sequel for HuniePop in the works.

A new trailer has just been released with a new title HuniePop 2 Double Date, showcasing the game’s new setting and that you can double date two girls. New and old characters will make a return as well, bringing a variety of girls to hang out with on the luxurious vacation getaway.

The game’s release is confirmed as “soon,” but how soon can we expect? If we were to judge by the first game’s release date, Jan. 19th, then we might expect something like that as the first HuniePop will be out five years ago.

There is also a plausible deduction that the game can come out on Valentine’s Day instead. As it centers around romance, releasing HuniePop 2 on the holiday would be a smart marketing idea, since the first HuniePop had an update on the same day.

If we’re going the extra mile, it would be a funny but cruel joke if the game were to be released in November, but that would probably be stretching it since it would be a long 10 months. Or perhaps the game will just drop unexpectedly to throw off fans of the game.

Hopefully, the “coming soon” date will be sometime this month or next month for Valentine’s Day.
