Controls Guide for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot takes you through the life of the series' main character, Goku, and goes through the major arcs of the Dragon Ball Z anime. You can play the game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the PC. Depending on where you play the game you're going to have a different control scheme, but it should feel pretty close to the other consoles.

Xbox One

The control scheme should feel pretty solid and resemble most fighting games with the face buttons handling the main fighting, the triggers prompting special attacks and blocks, and the thumbsticks controlling movement. The controls are broken up into battle and field. You use the battle controls during combat and the field controls are what you use while exploring the world.

Empoleon will learn Hydro Cannon if evolved during Pokemon Go's Community DayAdelaide WeissWed, 01/15/2020 - 14:29

Pokémon Go’s Community Days are one of the best aspects of the mobile Pokémon game. They bring players out in hoards and encourage otherwise sedentary gamers to walk around their local landmarks. Plus, that thrill when seeing the sparkle of a shiny Pokémon cannot be rivaled by other means.

For more competitive trainers, Pokémon featured in Community Days have the chance to learn more powerful signature moves, and according to Serebii, trainers that fully evolve Piplup during this months' Community Day will have an Empoleon that knows Hydro Cannon.

Hydro Cannon is a powerful Water Type charge move that does 90 base damage. With two charges, it will shred through enemies that are weak to Water. Hydro Cannon isn’t the only benefit to the upcoming Community Day. Players will also see egg hatch times reduced, so get some incubators ready.

In order to fully evolve Piplup, you’ll need to first evolve it into its second stage, Prinplup, which will take 25 candies. Evolving Prinplup into Empoleon will take another 100 candies. If you happen to get multiple good Piplups, or perhaps multiple good shinies, and you want to evolve multiple ones, you could easily need hundreds of candies to pull it off.

Related: What Pokémon should you evolve in Pokémon Go?

Luckily, Community Days cause their featured Pokémon to overspawn for the duration of the event. With the right berries and enough Poké Balls, you should have ample opportunity to gather candies for a couple of evolutions.

Pokémon Go’s Community Day begins Jan. 19 and will run from 11am to 2pm for the Northern Hemisphere and 3pm to 6pm for the Southern Hemisphere.

Mobile gaming could clear $100 billion spent in 2020Robert WorkmanWed, 01/15/2020 - 14:32

Mobile gaming has taken off over the past few years, generating billions of dollars in revenue with hits like Angry Birds and Fortnite. But new data suggests that 2020 could be its biggest year yet.

Earnings for the new year in the mobile gaming market could reach $100 billion, according to a new report from App Annie, a company that tracks analytics and data about apps. This is coming off of estimates that came from the previous year, in which earnings were 25 percent higher than both console and PC spending combined.

Part of that success will generate from the popularity of franchises that have established a following on mobile. Games like Mario Kart Tour and Call of Duty Mobile have each attained millions of downloads and made huge money with microtransactions. And with technical improvements to hardware, including 5G adaptation and improved technology, App Annie believes that mobile devices are becoming more of a “core” device for gamers in general.

While the report does note the steady reception of casual and puzzle games, titles like the ones mentioned above keep gamers around for the long-term. Players are also more likely to spend money on microtransactions with titles like these, App Annie says. It notes that puzzle and arcade games are actually in the minority, with only 1 percent of total downloads overall.

The battle royale game PUBG Mobile got the most attention from players last year in terms of replayability; while another battle royale entry, Garena Free Fire, ended up being the most downloaded, though specific numbers weren’t provided.

Where to find Ash and Pikachu in Pokémon: Twilight Wings Episode 1

To those who have played Pokémon Sword and Shield, there are a lot of familiar characters in Pokemon: Twilight Wings. We see Champion Leon, Gym Leader Bea, Chairman Rose and Oleana, but if you look closer at one of the scenes, you’ll also notice a familiar hero and his trusty Pikachu sidekick.

Blink and you might miss it, but from 1:11 to 1:16 when Chairman Rose and Oleana are on their way to take the Corviknight taxi to the children’s hospital, you can see Ash Ketchum and Pikachu in the background, standing by the handrail and looking over the city.

Bungie says new Corridors of Time quest in Destiny 2 is "a marathon, not a sprint"Zack PalmWed, 01/15/2020 - 15:27

Yesterday turned out to be an exciting day for Destiny 2 players. It featured the traditional weekly reset, but at first, it seemed not too much had gone into the game. However, if players spent a little extra time going out of their way to speak to Osiris yesterday, they discovered he had a quest available for them to return to the Corridors of Time. When they got inside, they found the many doorways now had symbols.

Upon returning to the real world, players learned they had to visit the many obelisks that were introduced in the recent Season of Dawn to receive a pattern. The pattern on the obelisk showed the direction of doorways they had to go through, and when they finished the loop they gained a piece of lore at the end.

Bungie has come forward to acknowledge the new quest in a brief tweet from its official Twitter page. It doesn't add too many pieces to the mystery, but it does hint that there's more to come to the future, and that players are going to need to discover it as the content slowly releases.

At this time, there are over 20 different obelisk codes you can follow into the Corridors of Time to receive a piece of lore. One of them even gives players a new Emblem to display.

We can expect Osiris and the Sundial to have plenty more mysteries left to share with us in the coming future.

How to Swim 50 Meters in 5 Seconds in Fortnite: Battle Royale

One of the Fortnite challenges for the Rippley Vs. Sludge mission is to swim 50 meters in 5 seconds. It is an odd challenge, and you might find yourself struggling with it a little. There is a way to make it much easier, however.

Where to swim 50 meters in five seconds

If you head to the area shown on the map above, you will find an area that makes it very easy to complete. The plan is to use a waterfall to our advantage, so it might be easier to reach this spot if you drop straight in from the Battle Bus.

You will find an area of rapid moving water than ends in a long waterfall. Make sure you are diving under the water as you approach the waterfall, and you will do a graceful dive off the edge. The entire fall counts as swimming, and between the run-up to the waterfall, and the drop itself, you should easily hit your target for this challenge.

You can find the full list of challenges for the Rippley Vs. Sludge mission below:

How to Easily Ring the Doorbell of a House with an Opponent Inside in Different Matches in Fortnite: Battle Royale

One of the Fortnite challenges for the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch mission is to ring the doorbell of a house with an opponent inside during three different matches. It is much easier to complete than you might first suspect.

The two best places to do this challenge are Pleasant Park and Salty Springs. Both these locations are popular places to drop in at the start of a match, which is the best chance we have to get this challenge done.

Salty Springs, Pleasant Park

All you need to do is drop at either location, making sure to pull your glider out just a little bit early. Let other players get ahead of you, and as you float down you can watch where they go. Land just outside the houses they go into and ring the doorbell. Only one will count per match, so after that, feel free to play as normal and go into the house and murder them.

If you find yourself dropping in ahead of other players, you can land on a roof to stay safe and watch where they go. Do this in three different matches, and the challenge is complete.

You can find all the challenges for the 8-Ball Vs. Scratch mission below:

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order pre-order bonuses unlocked for everyone

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order pre-order bonuses unlocked for everyoneZack PalmWed, 01/15/2020 - 17:15

Jedi: Fallen Order developer Respawn Entertainment has unlocked all pre-order bonuses, making them available for every player.

The pre-order bonuses for Jedi: Fallen Order included an orange lightsaber crystal, Mygeeto Campaign Lightsaber hilt, Umbaran Campaign Lightsaber Hilt, a skin for Bee-D-1, and the Gold Squadron Mantis Skin.

All players need to do is update their copy of the game to the latest version, and they can jump into the game to start swinging their new saber color. They need to visit a workbench to modify their saber, but they can modify Bee-D-1 and the Mantis from their main menu.

The release of this content came with a recent update to Jedi: Fallen Order, the developers posted on Reddit. Beyond the release of this content, there's a small list of new fixes and improvements to the gameplay:

  • We’ve fixed an issue where Bounty Hunters would sometimes get stuck in Zeffo.

  • Not only was the Photomode camera able to explode rockets, it could interact with trigger volumes within the levels that could potentially break the game. We’ve fixed this to ensure that you can continue playing the game after using Photomode. Unfortunately, this also means that rockets will be unaffected by the camera moving forward.

  • There was a bug that was causing one of the elevators in the last level to have a tendency of disappearing. It should now be present at all times.

  • We’ve improved collision on Ilum.

  • Our language translations have been updated.

  • There was an issue where some text was overlapping in Photomode for specific screen ratios. That has been fixed.

  • The Albino Wyyyschokk tactical guide entry wasn’t appearing for all users, this should now be fixed.

  • We’ve fixed Gorgara having a tendency to disappear at specific times on Dathomir.

Many of these issues and fixes were minor, but by giving all players access to the pre-order content gives players the opportunity to use all of the available lightsaber colors once they reach a certain point in the game.

Jedi: Fallen Order did extremely well for itself. It was a standout title at EA where it was able to become the fastest-selling digital launch for any Star Wars game within the first two weeks of release. The team at Respawn Entertainment was recently searching for individuals to fill several positions with those interested in taking the position eager to jump into the galaxy far, far away.

We still have no word on the future of Star Wars at EA, or with Respawn, but the future looks quite promising.

Modern Warfare's first season is being extended with new items and challenges releasing soonZack PalmWed, 01/15/2020 - 17:33

Modern Warfare players, you still have more time to continue running through your battle pass because season one is getting an extension.

Developers Infinity Ward shared in a tweet today they plan to season one until Feb. 11. You won't have to deal with much of the same, though. New items and challenges are coming along with this extension.

The tweet shares a link to this page, which provides a brief paragraph description of what to expect over the next few weeks. There's little explaining why this decision was made, but Modern Warfare players can look forward to new content during this time, such as an in-game challenge to earn a new crossbow. There's going to be remixed game modes, new players, and more rotations of content in the store.

During this time, players can expect to receive double experience points, double weapon experience, and double the tier progression for their officer ranks and tiers. It's a perfect time to get ready for season two before it arrives, likely after season one wraps up on Feb. 11.

We don't have any details about what the new season is going to bring, but we have plenty of time to think about it. Infinity Ward could also hint about it over the next few weeks, although, they may wait until season one wraps up before they start discussing it in full detail.

Overwatch Lunar New Year Event Skins LeakJohn HansenWed, 01/15/2020 - 16:54

Not long after Blizzard announced the Year of the Rat Lunar New Year event for Overwatch, what is likely all of the new skins leaked online. The Overwatch team tweeted a short video of Hanzo lighting a sky lantern which revealed the event starts tomorrow, January 16th and runs until February 5th.

Alongside the video, their banner was changed to show the new Lucio and Moira skins that will be available once the event begins. According to Korean Twitter user OverwatchNaeri, Lucio's skin design "comes from the traditional games of Korea Nongak(농악) and wears a hat called Sangmo(상모)." Moira is donning a Korean shaman's outfit. The creepy mask is right in line with Moira's personality and is right up there with Ana's Tal skin for reasons I won't be sleeping tonight.

After the official announcement, OverwatchNaeri posted photos of five new skins coming tomorrow. Briggite gets a dress and makeup that seem to be in line with Chinese New Year traditions. Sombra's new skin looks to combine her love for sugar skulls with Asian culture. Doomfist is receiving a very basic color swap that undoubtedly will be considered a "Rare" skin and will cost less in-game currency than the more reworked looks for the event. Wrecking Ball's mech is being made red with white paint, and the hamster himself seems to be golden. Finally, Winston is getting a green toned skin that might be a reference to jade statues.

As with other Overwatch events, expect at least one new emote for a character. The video with Hanzo lighting a sky lantern might potentially be the brand new highlight intro this time around. There will also be multiple new voice lines, mostly focused on newer characters to the game. While it is not confirmed, it is the in-game arcade special will be Capture the Flag like in years past.

Online Camp Locations in Red Dead Redemption 2

You start with a standard camp in Red Dead Redemption 2's online mode, Red Dead Online, but you can eventually grow past it, or you want to find yourself in a different location. When you're ready, you have a couple of decisions you can make when it comes to choosing a new camp location. If you're not a fan of your choice, feel free to pick everything back up and try again.

You can move at any time by going to the free roam menu by hitting the left directional pad on your controller. You'll see an extensive list with several options, but you want to go to the camp & properties option. You should see a management screen where you can view your camp and Moonshine Shack locations.

When you click on the camp option, you'll go to the management screen where you can view your camp's size and location, the position of your white flag, and your camp's overall stats. The camp stats list out your current camp size, the district it's in, and the daily fee you're paying to keep it running. To change your camp's location, you need to go to your camp's size and location. Unless you have a persistent posse with you, you can only use a small camp, which has a daily fee of $1.00.

You have 13 different locations to move your camp. However, whenever you want to move camps, there's a flat $2.00 fee to make it happen. Here are the locations:

  • Bayou Nwa
  • Big Valley
  • Cholla Springs
  • Cumberland Forest
  • Gaptooth Ridge
  • Great Plains
  • Grizzlies
  • Heartlands
  • Hennigan's Stead
  • Rio Bravo
  • Roanoke Ridge
  • Scarlett Meadows
  • Tall Trees

Red Dead Online Camp Location Icon

When you make the decision, your camp location immediately moves to the new location. You can find it on your map as the new blue icon. If you ever want to customize your camp or upgrade it, you can speak to Cripps, who is hanging out in your camp. It's in the Wilderness Outfitters page. The more you improve your camp, the more quality of life features you can receive. Here are the different ranks and benefits of camp you can receive:

  • Rank 1: Bedroll - Refills your cores to 15 percent when you enter free roam, and they refill 25 percent faster while resting in camp
  • Rank 15: Lean-to - Refills your cores to 25 percent when you enter free roam, and they refill 50 percent faster while resting in camp
  • Rank 22: A-Frame - Refills your cores to 35 percent when you enter free roam, and they refill 75 percent faster while resting in camp
  • Rank 36: Tall Lean-to - Refills your cores to 45 percent when you enter free roam, and they refill 100 percent faster while resting in camp
  • Rank 49: Open-Air Lean-To - Refills your cores to 55 percent when you enter free roam, and they refill 125 percent faster while resting in camp
  • Rank 55: Covered Lean-to - Refills your cores to 65 percent when entering free roam, and they refill 150 percent faster while resting in camp
  • Rank 64: Covered - Refills your cores to 75 percent when entering free roam, and they refill 175 percent faster while resting in camp
  • Rank 65: Fast Travel - Go to the equipment page to purchase the fast travel post.

There are other upgrades you can acquire from Cripps, such as a deluxe campfire for $500.00, stew pot, weapon locker, dogs, and you can change your camp themes. There are plenty of options available to you, but make sure you keep up those basic maintenance costs to maintain your camp.

Witcher's publishing company prints 500,000 more books to meet current demandsZack PalmWed, 01/15/2020 - 20:11

The Witcher series continues to push boundaries of cultural popularity with Orbit, the book's publishing company, printing another 500,000 books for the series to meet current demands.

Netflix's Witcher series, which debut on Dec 21, 2019, brought the fantasy series to the general public by introducing famous characters Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri to the public. Before that, many had already met these characters by playing through the trilogy of Witcher video games. All of this comes from a book series first published in 1993 by Andrzej Sapkowski.

These books are seeing a resurgence and are in high demand by the public. So much so, Orbit issued a brief statement on their website that they are making the 500,000 book order to share these stories with the public. "The demand for all eight books in the series increased steadily last year in anticipation of the Netflix launch," the statement read. "Since its release, sales have been phenomenal in all formats – print, ebook, and audio – and Orbit’s US division is currently reprinting over 500,000 copies to meet the exceptional demand."

Sapkowski wrote two books of short stories, five novels depicting linear adventures with Geralt and Ciri, and then another standalone book in 2013 that fits between the short stories. Recently, the hype of the Witcher television series by Netflix boosted the popularity of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to bring back extremely strong concurrent player numbers to the title.

We can only expect popularity and the demand to grow with the release of Netflix's second season for The Witcher. Unfortunately, we need to wait until 2021 to check it out and see where we next go in Geralt's adventure with destiny.

Where to Find Motor Gliders in PUBG

Where to Find Motor Gliders in PUBG

Motor gliders have come to PUBG. These airborne vehicles allow players to quickly traverse the maps and fly across the skies, making it an ideal option to have if you need to run away from nearby enemies or need to outrun the blue circle. You can find ten of them at any given time on the maps.

However, these vehicles only show up on two of the maps: Erangel and Miramar. These are the largest maps in the game, so it makes sense to have these speedy and airborne vehicles on here and not on the small ones. They're handy for a pair of players, but any more than two people wanting to use it will have a rough time. There are only two seats, one for the pilot and another for the passenger who can fire a weapon. They spawn without any gas, too, so even if you find one first, you need to fill it up with fuel.

While the developers were testing the vehicle, they had them show up across ten set spawns across these two maps for 100 percent of the time. Now that they made it to the live game, things have changed. Instead of 10 locations, there are currently 40, but 10 motor gliders still spawn on the map. If you have an idea of where it's going to spawn, you have a 25 percent chance of it being at that location. It's a decent shot, and it can fill you full of hope, but you may not want to hedge your bets on it if you're running away from a lot of bullets.

Despite the developers making it a bit more complicated, data miner PlayerIGN has been hard at work going through the files and locating what they could. PlayerIGN shared these locations in a tweet breaking down all 40 potential spawns a motor glider can spawn at.

You can have these maps up while you and your friends and running across these iconic locations. The locations are on the outside of the map, meaning if you want to get to them, you need to plan your drops accordingly and then hope you can find fuel along the way. If you don't, your bird won't make it too far off the ground, and you can find yourself running from the blue circle rather than soaring the skies. It's a formidable risk with plenty of rewards.

Hopefully, you and your friend plan accordingly to visit these locations. The spawns may change if the developers receive a certain amount of feedback from players.

The hardest Pokémon to catch in Pokémon Go

There are hundreds of unique Pokémon available for trainers to find and capture throughout the world of Pokémon Go.

Pokémon like Pidgey and Natu are common and can be found with ease. Some Pokémon, however, are a lot harder to find and capture. Trainers can spend hours looking for their favorite Pokémon to add to their team and complete their Pokédex.

This list looks at some of the most difficult Pokémon to catch in Pokémon Go. Be sure to stock up on the correct items and Pokéballs needed while you're out there—and remember, gotta catch 'em all.

Abra

Abra isn't necessarily tough to find, but it's one of the most difficult Pokémon to capture in the game. Abra has a flee rate of 99 out of 100, which means it'll often escape your Pokéball and run away after one failed attempt.

Therefore, it's a good idea to use Ultra Balls against an Abra to increase your chances of successfully catching this Pokémon.

Like in the mainline Pokemon games, Ditto transforms into any Pokemon it wants in Pokemon Go. In the world, it will appear as Weedle, Paras, Venonat, Hoothoot, Ledyba, Spinarak, Hoppip, Gulpin, Whismur, Remoraid, Seedot, Skitty, Numel, or Bidoof. You will not know you have caught a Ditto until you have captured the Pokemon, and it reveals itself to be a Ditto. They have a harder catch rate than the common Pokemon; they are disguised as at 16%.

Blastoise, Venusaur, Charizard, Dragonite

Not only are these four Pokémon incredibly hard to find, but they're also very difficult to catch.

All of these Pokémon have a slim chance of being found in the wild—Blastoise, Venusaur, Charizard, and Dragonite each have a four percent capture rate. This means it's extremely tough to find—let alone catch—these popular Pokémon from the Kanto region.

Wartortle, Ivysaur, Charmeleon, etc.

Starters

While the final evolutions of the original starters are more challenging to catch than their second forms, these guys have only an 8% chance catch rate with only a marginally better chance to appear in the world. Other Pokemon with a similar catch rate include Gengar, Raichu, Clefable, Ninetales, Gyarados, Dragonair, and Arcanine.

Region Specfic Pokemon

These Pokemon are not naturally hard to catch, but you have to be in certain parts of the world to be able to encounter them or have a friend that already has them trade you one. The original exclusives were Tauros in the United States, Kangaskhan in Australia, Farfetch’d in Japan and South Korea, and Mr. Mime in Europe.

The following are the Pokemon that have been added as Region exclusive and where they can be found:

  • Heracross — Central and South America, including areas of Southern Florida
  • Corsola — Tropical areas along the equator
  • Torkoal — India
  • Zangoose — Europe, Asia, and Australia
  • Seviper — Americas and Africa
  • Solrock — Americas, Africa
  • Lunatone — Europe, Asia, and Australia
  • Relicanth —New Zealand
  • Illumise — Americas and Africa
  • Volbeat — Europe, Asia, and Australia
  • Tropius — Africa
  • Pachirisu - Northern Canada, Russia, Alaska
  • Shellos (Pink) - West of Longitude 0
  • Shellos (Blue) - East of Longitude 0
  • Chatot - Southern Hemisphere
  • Mime Jr. - Europe (5 KM eggs)
  • Carnivine - Southeastern USA
  • Uxie - Asia-Pacific
  • Mesprit - Europe, Africa
  • Azelf - Americas
  • Pansage - Asia-Pacific
  • Pansear - Europe, Africa
  • Panpour - Americas
  • Heatmor - Western Hemisphere
  • Durant - Eastern Hemisphere

Tyranitar

Tyranitar

While there is a slight chance that you find Tyranitar out in the world, these Pokemon are more likely to be found in raid battles. However, Tyranitar are one of the most powerful creatures in Pokemon Go and can be difficult to catch even if your team defeats them. They are almost always over 2,000 CP (sometimes closer to 3,000 CP) and have about a 5% capture chance.

All of the legendary Pokémon

The legendary Pokémon are some of the hardest creatures to catch in Pokémon Go. To capture them, players must link up with other trainers in legendary raids and complete a drawn-out battle process.

After finally finding enough players to beat the legendary Pokémon, trainers will be given a small amount of Pokéballs to try and add them to their team. But every Pokéball that successfully connects with a legendary Pokémon only has about a two to three percent chance of capture.

Players can slightly improve their odds of success by using items like a Golden Razz Berry, but it'll only increase the chance of catching a legendary creature by one to two percent.

If you fail and run out of Pokéballs, you'll need to find another location that has a legendary Pokémon. You'll also need to own another raid pass or buy some from the store in order to earn a spot in a legendary raid battle.

Mewtwo

Mewtwo is a special case in the legendary Pokémon department. This powerful Pokémon is usually only available in invited raids—so trainers need to hope that Niantic sent them an invite to have a chance to capture it. During special events, it can be available in legendary raids in either its standard or armored form.

There's no way to tell how to get these passes, so it all comes down to chance.

Mew

Mew

Mew cannot be caught in the open world and is available for every player as soon as they complete the “Mythical Discovery” special research. While every player has access to this, it is no simple task to finish.

First: spin five Poké Stops, catch 10 Pokémon, and transfer five Pokémon.

Second: earn two candies, make 10 "Great" throws, and hatch three eggs.

Third: reach level 15, battle two gyms, and two raids.

Fourth: earn a silver Kanto medal, evolve 20 Pokémon, and earn five candies while walking.

Fifth: catch a Ditto, make 20 "Great" throws, and catch 10 Ghost Pokémon.

Sixth: reach level 25, battle in 10 raids, and evolve a Magikarp.

Seventh: catch 50 Pokémon with a berry, make an "Excellent" curve throw, and obtain a Gold Kanto medal.

Eighth: Catch Mew, who at this point will have a 100% capture chance, so no worries once you get to this point.

Those are a lot of steps that have to be completed to complete. If you catch a Ditto before you are on the fifth step, you will have to do it again. Also, Magikarp takes 400 candies to evolve into Gyarados.

What are Tfue's Fortnite Sensitivity and Keybind Settings?

Turner "Tfue" Tenney is not only one of the most popular Twitch streamers, but he's one of the best Fortnite players in the world. Tfue has dominated Fortnite casually and competitively since release, and is known for his sheer slaying ability and game sense.

So, as many players watch him do so well, fans often wonder what settings he uses. Of course, keybinds should be personal preference, but some buttons work better for specific actions. Sensitivity is also another setting many fans ask him during his streams, as it's an integral part of Fortnite

To answer those questions, here are Tfue's sensitivity and keybind settings in Fortnite

Sensitivity settings

Sensitivity settings is one of the areas of Fortnite that requires some adjustments. If you're used to a high sensitivity but want to mimick someone like Tfue, don't simply drop down to his sensitivity. Gradually reduce your sensitivity, that way, you're not making as big of a leap.

  • Mouse Sensitivity X: 0.100
  • Mouse Sensitivity Y: 0.100
  • Mouse Targeting Sensitivity: 0.700
  • Mouse Scope Sensitivity: 0.550
  • HUD Scale: 0.70

Keybind settings

Like a lot of streamers, Tfue uses whatever he feels comfortable with in terms of keybinds. So, if he has an action bound to a strange keybind, it's because that's his style of play.

Star Wars Games Were among the Best Selling Titles in the UK Last WeekPaolo SirioThu, 01/16/2020 - 04:58

There are two Star Wars games in the top five best selling games in the United Kingdom this week - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Battlefront II.

While we're quite used to the presence of Fallen Order, which has proved very successful in terms of sales around the world since its November 2019's launch, Battlefront II's return from position No.147 is quite surprising but has happened for a reason.

The game has indeed been made available for just £5 on PC over the last few days, and this explains how it managed to reach #5 in the charts years away from its original release. It has also received a major push last year due to the release of a new edition celebrating the release of the movie Rise of Skywalker.

Other positions in the Top 10 are not much different from last week's, as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is still dominating sales in the UK, followed by only 400 units by Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and then, by just 1,000 copies, by FIFA 20. GTA V is also fourth, gaining three positions compared to the previous week.

Here's the full top 10 provided by UKIE/GSD for the week ending January 16, 2020:

  1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (1)
  2. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2)
  3. FIFA 20 (3)
  4. GTA V (7)
  5. Star Wars Battlefront II (147)
  6. Luigi's Mansion 3 (5)
  7. Just Dance 2020 (6)
  8. Borderlands 3 (4)
  9. Dr Kawashima's Brain Training for Nintendo Switch (15)
  10. Red Dead Redemption 2 (9)

At the moment, these sales data only take into account retail: digital sales figures have not been made available yet and will be added at a later date.

Search and Destroy Limited Time Mode Challenges in Fortnite

The arrival of update 11.40 has given us one of our favorite things in Fortnite, good old fashion leaks. Lucas7yoshi has struck again, revealing that a new limited-time mode will be coming to the game. It's a Creative mode, although the start date is currently unknown.

You can find the challenges for the Search and Destroy mode below. Each one has two stages, although the second stage is usually the same as the first, just a higher number of that action needs to be done.

  • Play Search & Destroy featured islands (0/5)
  • Activate or deactivate a Timer Device in Search & Destroy featured islands (0/3), Stage 2 (0/25)
  • Get Eliminations in Search & Destroy featured islands (0/5), Stage 2 (0/75)
  • Purchase Items from vending machines in Search & Destroy featured islands (0/5), Stage 2 (0/100)
  • Earn Gold in Search & Destroy featured islands (0/2500), Stage 2 (0/25000)
  • Purchase a common item from vending machines in Search & Destroy featured islands (0/1), Stage 2 is to purchase a Legendary item from vending machines (0/1)

Rewards appear to include styles for the skateboard Back Bling and plenty of XP. As for when the mode will be out, we suspect sometime between now and the middle of February, although our gut says next week.

We will have plenty of guides on how to do each challenge, as soon as the mode goes live in the game.

Resident Evil 4, Shadow of Mordor, Other Triple-A Titles Leaving Xbox Game Pass SoonPaolo SirioThu, 01/16/2020 - 06:00

More Xbox Game Pass titles are leaving Microsoft's on-demand library, as shared by Microsoft, and this time the list includes several games you should not miss.

By the end of January, as revealed by its iOS app, Xbox Game Pass is letting go of five triple-A games in what seems to be the most significant departure since the release of the service. The games leaving in two weeks are:

  • The Division
  • Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - Game of the Year Edition
  • Resident Evil 4
  • Saints Row: The Third
  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

This is a usual practice for Xbox Game Pass, as titles get in and out quite often; anyway, it's unusual that titles this big pop out of the service in the same month, despite them being not very recent.

The original The Division has already joined and left the service in the past. It is doing it again, even though it was only added back in December. It usually happens due to commercial terms between Microsoft, which pays a fee for letting their titles be a part of the library, and publishers or developers expiring.

Games leaving every month are perhaps fundamental in allowing Microsoft to keep committing to the current cost of the subscription and not raising it anytime soon, as revealed by the Executive Vice President at Gaming Phil Spencer in a recent interview.

The latest entries in the Xbox Game Pass subscriptions have been revealed in early January and feature, among the others, Tekken 7, Frostpunk, and Grand Theft Auto V.

Quantic Dream Has "A Lot of Surprises" Coming in 2020Paolo SirioThu, 01/16/2020 - 06:13

Quantic Dream's David Cage has revealed that the studio is going to have an "exciting" 2020, a year where the French developer is planning to share "a lot of surprises" with its fans.

Cage took to Twitter to wish his followers a happy new year, most likely managing to do so only after his holiday break. He further added that, even though "2019 has been an amazing year for the studio," there's a chance that 2020 is going to be even bigger.

"2020 should be even more exciting," the writer and game director commented on Twitter. "We have a lot of surprises to come for our fans, so stay tuned!"

2019 has indeed been a big year for Quantic Dream filled with surprises. After launching its PS4 exclusive Detroit: Become Human in 2018, the team has announced it has become a multi-platform developer as its exclusivity deal with Sony had expired.

The studio secured a deal with Chinese outlet NetEase, which is supplying more funds and allowing it to expand not only to other platforms but also to different genres and intellectual properties so it could sustain its independence.

The first step in this brand new path for Quantic Dream was the release of its three PlayStation 4 exclusives on Epic Games Store for PC: Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human are indeed all available on the platform.

With 2020 marking the beginning of a new generation of consoles, there's a chance that the French developer might be willing to reveal its new game sooner rather than later, and this tweet from Cage seems to be hinting something in that vein.
